I’m a bit worried that this plant hasn’t started to flower properly yet - looks like it’s still stretching and hardly any pistils in sight - this may end up being a 15 week auto. Flipped lighting to 12/12 on day 50

Grow Questions

So this plant is in week 8 now, 50 days and still hasn’t formed any flowers- seems to be vegging forever. Light schedule is 20/4 - breeder says will flower at 18/6 - is it not going to flower because it’s getting too much light? Is this possible for an auto? Any advice? Thank you

I never experienced it myself but it seems that its a common theme these days with certain genetics/breeders. You only really have two options. One, wait it out and like you said it may be a 15 week auto. Maybe she had something that stunted her and it happens (for example if you look at my sweet tooth that's what happened). Option 2, you'll need another area where you can put her on a 12/12 schedule for a week to force her into flower and put her back on whatever light schedule until harvest. Hope this helps.

@GreenHouseLab thanks, that’s a great answer, i’ve just moved her to inside the boot of my car where she will live from 7pm to 7am for the next week!

Moving outside is a great idea! If you can expose her to some lighting like a flood light or something for a few hours at night so she doesn’t flower... once the days get longer here in SA and it’s more than 12 hours of day you can leave the lighting and plant her in the ground! She will veg until next year and be a monster 👀👀👀👀
