SarielGrow BCC x Jealousy x Puree by WolfPack, week 0.
Unfortunately, this one will never see the light of day, as the seed itself was very dry—the embryo rotted from within. 😩
Phase: Germination (Macro Analysis / Seed Failure)
Strain: Banana Cream Cake x Jealousy x Puree (Wolfpack Selection)
Hydration Method: Preliminary soak in San Bernardo water (pH 6.5 corrected with Plagron Lemon Kick, water temperature 22-23°C / 68-70°F)
Anomaly Description (Visual Analysis):
This image documents the seed's macroscopic behavior just one minute after being placed in the water. Unlike a standard float—where healthy, impermeable seeds rest horizontally due to micro-air bubbles trapped by the shell—this seed immediately positioned itself vertically, with its apex (the tip) pointing straight toward the bottom.
This specific vertical orientation points directly to a native structural defect in the shell. The presence of an invisible micro-fissure or localized high porosity at the tip allowed an immediate, uncontrolled influx of liquid. Driven by gravity, the water flooded the internal tissues before the embryo could aerobically activate its metabolism, trapping the remaining air bubble in the rounded rear end of the seed.
Subsequent Outcome:
Due to this rapid absorption of stagnant water and the resulting embryonic asphyxiation (lack of oxygen), the seed underwent latent anaerobic fermentation during the subsequent paper towel phase. Upon final inspection, the shell appeared heavily waterlogged, swollen from internal hydraulic pressure, yet completely sealed. When cracked open, it released a strong odor of decomposition and stagnant moisture ("cellar mold"), confirming a total loss of endosperm viability.
