Day 16 and plant is growing fairly vigorously. Root zone is just as interesting to watch develop as the top half is. Plant has a light scent and leaves feel hardy and tough. Very pleased with this plant thus far.
Day 25- started with what I’d like to call lazy man training where I’ve laid em all out on the rope to open up the Center for the 3 mains in the middle from when I topped her. Thinking getting a bigger tote as she’s really thirsty and drank atleast 6-7 litres so far and speeding up.
Start of week 4. Plant looking lush and starting to drink quite heavily, root zone is really happy to coincide. I haven’t added to or changed the water since day1 and is still loving it. Another good thing about DWC method, is the set and forget nature of it. Topped her and I’ve began tucking leaves here and there, only taking away the odd leaf. I like to keep leaf in this stage to make full use of the light, this also encourages the lowers to sprout up to the top where I’ve got 11-12 tops already expect it to be around 16 before we switch her over. Thanks for stopping by.👽👀
Last day of Veg today. Moving over to the 12/12 schedule. Had it’s 20ltr bucket cleaned and filled with 15 litres of flower mix ph at 5.5. Also being cloned and run again. Awesome seed to veg. Meant to be a quicker flower time for these plant aswell so getting excited. 😎
Day 35 or start of week 6, 1 full week of flower and she has done a fair bit of stretching which allowed me to start tucking some stems under the next squares in the net, revealing some spindle growth down lower that I’d usually remove but this time around I’m introducing a more powerful light soon so I’m allowing it through. Some of the biggest leaves copped a bit of nute burn as the mix was pretty hot coming into flower but after that the rest of the plant responded well and is a bonus to keeping those big shade leaves on your plant as they take the first hit if anything goes astray. She’s drinks just around 1.3 litres of water per day and speeding up which is promising considering the mix being hot for a DWC grow, so that’s a credit to the quality of this plants genetics.
Day 42 end of week 6, start of week 7. Finished transition and is now fruiting. About 4 days ago she got the big light upgrade from a 6cob drawing 258w cob led to a 6cob led with assorted mini cobs drawing 630w from the wall, very big light (top rail flex’s to the weight of it lol) & she loves it. Plant consuming around 2L’s a day. You can almost see the meter drop it’s drinking that quickly. I’d say that’ll speed up a tad when the flowers start drawing more. I’m pumping a lot of air into the bucket aswell. 360LPH with 2 air stones. The more air the better. Loving the smell. I’d say it’s like a mild coffee bean aroma and it’s really smooth and pleasant.
Really enjoying growing this plant. Thanks for stopping by.
Into week 8 now and approaching a full month of flower and her fruits have started blossoming. She’s looking and smelling very nice. As other people growing this strain have stated, trichome production is a non issue here, buds are very solid and continues to be fast flowering. I give her around 10 litres every three days now. Very sticky as well.
Day 64 plant humming along nicely and looking delectable. This plant isn’t very stinky but scent increasing. I’ve chopped the tallest kola so I can bring the light down and have an early treat. Some purply hues coming through, not sure that’s the strain or the fact temps get pretty low at night, I’m thinking temps at this stage. Updated feeding to second half of flowering as per cyco’s chart which now adds silica and has swapped the potash for swell.
Buds are very dense. Going to be top notch gear with a good cure.
Day 70 now, purple tinges turned out to be l.e.d burn I’d say, raised light a fraction. Plant is thirsty still, seems to be packing on the weight for the meantime. Will start monitoring the sugar for readiness over the next week.
