When it comes to mainlining, the key is to focus the energy onto the main apical summits, you don't want big fan leaves below the canopy because you need the plant to drive the energy to the top, in order to expand her main stems quickly. That being said, you will need a few leaves for the photosynthesis process, so keep them growing until the stem has grown to the next node, then remove every leaf below this node. Remember that tucking is less stress than cutting, and always give the plant a few days to recover after each defoliation.
