Alright let's do this !!
The seeds were soaked for a few hours in a KNF seed soak, and placed in paper towel.
Looks like there are twins in there. Separated them and will try to grow the smallest one.
When germinated they moved into a jiffy and eventually in their final pot once roots poked through the jiffy.
The final pots are 40L of different soil mix. One is a very good commercial mix and the other is my own mix.
Seeds really isn't my strong suit so they always tend to struggle a bit until well established.
And as I said they had a bit of a rough patch.... First time starting from seeds under this new LED quantum board and it seems like I blasted them with too much light...
But they will be fine I am sure.
So far it has been water mostly except for a microbial inoculation.
They recuperated from the early stress pretty well
The one in the commercial mix is growing a little skinny and tall.
The one in the craft is a growing a lot better but also a little tall and skinny for now.
The should start throwing some proper growth soon.
Day 21 - Started giving them KNF foliar feed.
The one in the craft mix was topped at 3rd and decided to throw 2 growth on each side out of the 2nd node, she will be fun to train.
The other won't be topped I think.
The plant in the commercial mix started really skinny and long but it seems she is starting to thicken.
The one in Craft still cruising and throwing some funky growth !
Some compost tea, IPM and Aloe foliar during the week.
Growing up so fast ! Those blumat really are amazing, I can see how happy the plants are.
Some KNF foliar feeding and Microbial inoculant.
They will get some aerated compost tea soon for flowering.
All plants are still on a water only diet. They do get various foliar feed with KNF. During this week my aim through foliar was to supply some N and a little bit of P
Foliar are now starting to focus on P and and traces, they are both very healthy so far.
That one in the commercial mix is just growing huge, it doesn't want to stop.
I am very curious to compare the bud development in both plants.
The smoothie at the back just never stops growing...
I think she finally stopped stretching. She stands at 113cm now.
She seems to have bigger bud development than the other one and definitely longer stigmas. She is quite cool to watch.
The other one would have been perfect for a scrog , but unfortunately she is a little too squeezed by her neighbours. Not sure how it will turn out.
Sorry for the lack of updates, I was away for 2 weeks.
The 2 are starting to show some difference in the bud structure, the long tall one is making very airy buds so far whereas the other is producing more compact flowers.
The tall one is also starting to fade a lot faster, a little to fast to early. I have given her some Fish amino acid, humic and fulvic acid and some liquid kelp to see if that could help.
During the last 2 weeks all they received was plain water once again except for the tall one today.
I have dimmed the LED to 60%.
Lowering humidity to 50% average.
The one in the commercial mix has started to fade much earlier than the other plants , a little too early in my opinion, I think she had some deficiencies. She has grown lots of buds but pretty airy ones. Still a very nice trichome coverage but the flowers are quite different than the on in the craft mix.
The craft mix is producing a very wide an bushy plant with denser more compact flowers, and she is only slowly starting to fade now.
Both plants are maturing slowly. I have given them some fresh Aloe vera and EM.
The smell is super intense, They stink up the whole place, smells of blueberry and mango blend in together like a smoothie, really true to its name!
