1er cultivo Femis

MrJac_GHZMono This third grow is being done at the same time as the SOG with autoflowering, this time the space is 100x100x200 and with a 400w sodium light. There are 5 seeds from Royal Queen Seeds of the Amnesia Haze variety, a plant we are eager to try. We will be using Coco substrate from the Top Crop brand for the first time due to humidity issues since it’s winter in our area and we need the substrate to not retain too much moisture so we can water regularly. For fertilizers, we will use the Coco line from Canna, which will also be our first time using it; we’ll see how it goes. We will only do one transplant from 3.5L pots to 11L, which will be their final pots. 03/07/2019 The seeds are soaked for 24 hrs before starting to germinate. 04/07/2019 To germinate the seeds, we place them directly in jiffy for 24 hrs. 05/07/2019 The Jiffys are planted in the first 3.5L pots. 08/07/2019 Day 1 of life begins, the seedling came out very well formed in all 5 pots. We start with a watering of 100 ml per plant with rooting agent from the Top Crop Deep Underground line, at pH 6. 10/07/2019 The seedlings already look healthy and strong; for the next watering, we will do it only with water at pH 6.

MrJac_GHZMono This week we started using Canna fertilizers, in this case Cannazym, only once together with the rooting agent from Top Crop. We haven't been able to regulate the humidity well since the tent space is much larger than the capacity of the humidifier, so it's tough. Most likely, we'll need to change the humidifier for a bigger one. They look nice, and it seems the growth is going well. Next week, we'll start using the special fertilizers for Coco, Canna Coco A and B.

MrJac_GHZMono Since it's our first time using coco as the base for cultivation, it has been a bit difficult to get used to since it requires more water and the pH and EC parameters have to be optimal. Because of this, two of the girls have shown a bit of deficiency that at first glance seems to be Nitrogen, so we are trying to be more careful with all the parameters to ensure they eat well. Anyway, they look firm and strong.

MrJac_GHZMono Slow but steady. The Amnesias take their time with everything; they are slower in every sense but beautiful and vigorous. Even though they showed a bit of deficiency, they keep growing. Their stems are getting thicker, and their leaves just keep growing and growing. They are a demanding genetic variety where the parameters (humidity, temperature, pH, and EC) need to be just right for them to eat and grow without issues. We placed a bigger humidifier, so now the humidity levels are optimal; we just need to learn the best watering method so they don't show deficiencies or get over-fertilized. Then comes their transplant; we're still analyzing whether to move them to their final pot or to a slightly larger one around 7 liters.

MrJac_GHZMono A new week of life for these girls, it's a pleasure to see how they grow day by day. We keep learning from them about how they behave and what the best way to care for them is. Coco is a demanding medium with quick drying, and it seems that the plants consume all the nutrients we give them because at the slightest neglect, they start to show deficiencies. We're soon going to transplant them to their final pots and change the photoperiod to start flowering.

MrJac_GHZMono Last week of growth, this was the last week we gave them 18 hours of light. On Sunday the 18th, we transplanted them into their final pots of 11 liters and changed the photoperiod to 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness.
