What a week. I moved the girls into the new tent and finally they have a little more room to grow. All 3 look as healthy as they ever have. They have that perfect shade of green and show no signs of deficiencies. My smallest plant in the 3 gallon bucket does have yellowing leaves at the bottom but from what I've read that is a normal occurrence once they get into flower. So I am considering her healthy. The new tent seems to have helped with the humidity issue I was having. In the smaller tent I was unable to reduce the humidity below 70% and the new tent it's holding pretty steady at 45%. I paid 160 bucks for a dehumidifier I haven't even had to turn on yet so I feel rather stupid on that purchase but I'm sure it will come in handy at some point. My biggest plant popped little white pistils when the other 2 did 2 weeks ago, however it has not put on any more bud since then and the pistols are only on the top most main cola. Thus I have continued to give it grow nutrients and in return it has continued to grow larger. I give it a bloom feeding every 3rd feeding but I figure until it starts putting on more than just a few pistols I'm going to treat it as if it were still in veg and hope she gets huge as shit and doesnt finish until late October. Fingers crossed. All 3 of these Northern Lights are healthy and coming along nicely. My 4th plant is the polar opposite. Feel free to visit my other diary and help a brother out on this Sucker Punch I'm growing that's got me all fucked up and lost for answers.
Dude I noticed you have a similar "white patchiness" in some of the leaves at week 3 that mine have in most all of the plants, but mostly in 1. I self-diagnosed it as TMV (Tobacco Mosaic Virus) and was convinced that it was that. However, since then, you're the 4th person with Seedsman Auto NL seeds that also exhibit this characteristic, but for yours it seems that it has mostly disappeared as it approached flowering. I also am in the 1st week of flower for most of my NL Autos from Seedsman (8 plants) and am showing those brown spots that I assumed was a calcium deficiency.
Also, some of the lower leaves on many of the plants with the brown spots are yellowing and eventually crisping and dying. I am currently using 1/4th the recommended dosage of nutes out of fear of burning them. It's weird because the same plants that I assume are deficient and showing the brown spots and yellowing leaves at the bottom also have a slight burn on the tips of the leaves. I am growing in a 3:3:3 mix of compost, coir, and perlite however. Not sure how advanced of a grower you are, but do you have any advice?
@SourDeez, sorry for the delay man, I do not use this app very often. I will say that I was growing in coco and watering with tap water. I was also using cal mag. Turns out tap water has calcium in it and by using both cal mag and tap water I had created a toxicity. I seem to remember dropping the cal mag all together but later found this lead to a magnesium deficiency so now I use no cal mag but periodically add Epsom salt to my feeds. 1 tbsp per gallon every 3 weeks or so. Hope that helps.
Thank you for keeping this updated and in such detail! I am researching for my first grow and stuff like this has been really informative for me so far.
