Starting off week 2 pretty well after a shaky few days. I’m not grasping this germination thing so I go right to soil A last time I germinated, the root tap got stuck in the paper towel. Why are is she look like she’s in a pot on the floor? I have a tent in flowering cycle with 12/12, so I take the 2 plants I’m journaling and put them under a 50 watt full Spectrum light overnight, back in the tent in the morning. It’s a process. So the seedling is just starting to pop - I’m happy that in did the transplant as the soil in the germination cup was a little clumpier than I thought. I kept spraying PH’d water any time I could as the soil would dry crack up, leaving the seedling on unstable ground. I’m on 24 hours of light, fairly close. Seems to be responding well to the right proximity so far but I think it may be related to the fact that in the tent, she’s the farthest from the light. Also got a new light Mars Hydro 300w. Returned the Philzon 600w, was not up to the task. Mars seems nominally better, but think I may get a COB.

If you follow my other journal, I mentioned brining this guy to the cottage under direct sun to great results. She keeps popping out of the soil tho. Not sure what to do.

Week of July 28-August 3 Aug 2 What the what??!? All the leaves overnight seemed to yellow! added Epsom salts to soil the other day as I thought I read it helps nute/root lockout. Recap in question below Aug 1 Transplanted into 3 gallon fabric pot. Maybe a little too early but it kept on falling over so i transplanted it deeper so the stem was stabilized. It does not seem to be growing as fast as it once did. I think I stunted it. Im moving the pot around a lot (on a breathable riser/elevator) outside and back in as I had a mold scare in the flowering tent. Tent is now clean and im rotating plants in and out of the tent - flowering plants in the tent for 12 hours then moved to a dark area, move this plant and the other sour diesel into the tent for the other 12 hours. Not ideal but not sure what to do I’ve

Hey again Vic. You can rule out overwatering because the first sign would be droopy leaves. And as far as misting plants I avoid it like the plague! Lol I just don't think it is worth the risks of issues that can come along with it. If you do then never do it with the lights on because the droplets can magnify the light and burn/ bleach the plants. Finally the only benefit of Epsom salt is the magnesium but salt is pretty much the biggest enemy your roots have to begin with when using chemical fertilizers. Most all the nutrients come in salt form. Too much salt locks out nutrients to the roots. That is what is going on here the nitrogen deficiency you are seeing is from lockout because you are giving her plenty of nitrogen. I would flush her out with plain pH water and then place a fan towards the pot do it will dry out faster and you don't end up with overwatering issues. I would give plain water the next few feedings and hopefully she will pull out of it. Depending on how much salt is in there it might be hard to recover unfortunately. Sorry for the bad news but hopefully it gets you headed in the right direction. Good luck

Aug 4-10 Aug 6 Looks like the problem I had was due to the light intensity. I’ve put her outside and all the leaves have sprung back and look super healthy.

Week of aug 18-24 Aug 19 I missed a week due to irresponsibility. Sorry for the crappy pics, I’ll get more this week. So it looks like there’s been a lot for stretching, and it’s pretty thin - and it’s starting to flower! This is clearly due to light - it does not get a lot of direct sun - I’m gonna transfer it into a grow tent next week. Obviously, I’ve LST’d it - hope It helps

Week of September 7. See my sour diesel post for some context on the last couple weeks. - moved from outside to inside tent yesterday - aphid attack on leaves. Clipped em, hydrogen peroxide foliar - LST happening now - slow growth due to irresponsible condo building not aiming the sun or more light at her for past few weeks. - Inside tent now, anticipating growth, pending rise of the aphids - crystal on the leaves around bud points make me nervous as they look like powder (but can’t be moldy methinks) - I think I really shit the bed with this one. I planted too early when the previous residents in the tent were finishing up, so this grapefruit and the sour diesel kinda are like the 3rd kid and got neglected for a while. Too bad, I was looking forward to the grapefruit quite a bit. Time wasn’t on my side. As in weed, as in life. (Canuk, hook a brother up with a do-over grapefruit seed lol!) On the upside, I’m calling my sister today and tell her that even though she’s the 3rd kid and I’m the 1st kid, I was equally neglected. If you’re reading this and have thoughts on best aphid destroying techniques, let me know

This was painful. Had to euthanize due to compassion. Terminated this plant. After the thrips, inconsistent and inadequate light, there were bound to be issues. The fact my tent had slow tricombe tenants that took slightly too long to turn milky. Add on a fast life cycle and there was no room to maneuver, especially with the girlfriend already pissed about the existing ‘tenants’.
