My first Auto grow: Seedsman Alaskan Purple Auto grown in Coast of Maine soil. This grow has been started in a 2x2 tent under an old Mars Hydro 300 while I eagerly await the arrival of my new HLG 100 V2 3000k.
The plan for her is to start in a 1 gallon smart pot filled with CoM potting and then transplant to a 5 gal smart pot with CoM Stonington blend and scratching in fish bone meal to finish off the flowering time.
Well it's week 3. Had some heat and humidity issues which I've hopefully sorted out. Temps are sitting at 78-80 regularly and I purchased a humidifier that can be set by the desired RH.
I transplanted into a 3 gallon today using CoM potting soil with about 25% perlite mixed in.
Was given some advice to try Nectar of the Gods nutrient line so I picked up the base nutrients today as well. It's not my initial plan but we'll see how it goes
Rolling into week 4 strong. Growth has really taken off and I'm really liking the results of the nutrient line so far. Still a tad high on the temps but for the hottest July on record it could be a lot worse.
We've got another week in the books. A week of heavy learning too. Last week she was fed the recommended dosage for mid veg, but after a slurry test I'm seeing that she does not want that much food. Yesterday was a tea day so I'll give the colony another day or two and retest PPM so I can adjust her feeds from there.
I'm seeing a mag deficiency so I'm going to need to nail down the source sooner rather than later. Could it be the heavy feed locking it out? Could it be the fact that my tap is 260 ppm (.7 scale) and calcium bicarbonate is binding to the nutrients? Only time will tell.
