Watered with Berkey filtered water before switching to water straight from the hose, after settling overnight. Once or twice during the week I added some Calimag again, since leaves were curling up. Could have been heat stress, as well. Can't seem to keep away the grasshoppers. I'm disposing of at least one per day. Still applying DE to help out.

I've surrounded my plants with marigolds to ward off grasshoppers. Someone brought up that marigold attract spider mites. Should I be concerned about that as well? Find a different flower?

Hey there JP! I've experienced spidermites before so I always say it pays to be worries about spider mites. I don't know if Marigolds attract spidermites but what I do know is they're an absolute disaster to get rid of. In my experience if they're there they're there and no amount of companion plants will really Change that ... But if you're looking for anti pest plants check out : coriander, Dill, lavender , sunflower or lemon balm. Hope this helps ! 🚀

I'm curious as to why the blades of the leaves are starting to curl and appear spikey – anyone have any guidance?

This is classic signs of heat stress , your leaves will start to curl upward making a "taco" like shape . You can correct this by doing a few different things , first things I would suggest is to raise your lights , because it looks like your light is to close to your plants . The second thing I would suggest if your at the maximum height your light can go is to get a better intake and exhaust fan to get the air circulating faster resulting in cooler temps .If you keep your plant in these conditions it will surely end up light burned so its best that you take care of it now so you can save your awesome plants. I would also advise that you exhaust out a window or somewere out of your grow area so you dont circulate the same hot air back into the tent this will help keep it much cooler in your grow enviroment (This is all information on how to treat the problem on inside growing ) now to do it on the outside part of things , your going to wanna keep your plant in somewere shaded , not were its shaded all day but were it gets some shade during the hottest parts of the day , so you could place it next to a tree or even build it a shadded area with screen that you would find in windows mounted on sticks to make a shaded canopy . You can get all the materials for that for less then 20$ at home depot or any of those kinds of places . The screen will provide shade and the suns penetration will still give your plant the light it needs this way you can get a cooler growing enviroment outdoors . I hope all this information helps you on your journey to becoming a grow master !! Happy Growing!

@@JedPlanters,sounds good man I just know it sucks when they going great and then they hit a little bump but they are a resilient plant ..always bounce back and the strain is a longtime user friendly one.

@Cannibalgardens, I have two gaps near the top; hoping that lets enough come through. The door isn't the most sealed off thing either. Worried about any pests around getting in.

Is it too soon to chop this down? Some trichs are a little cloudy. I"ve read that indica dominat strains can be chopped a little sooner for a clearer effect. Any thoughts anybody? Or am I being impatient?

I think I spotted some fungus gnats yesterday. Put some DE on the soil. Hope it doesn't get worse!

8.16 - Took my little square pot cover and put it over this and my other plant to give it some shade from about 11a - 4p or until it gets a bit cooler. Leaves on both plants are still spikey, so I'll try that! Thanks, @The_Projexx

Gave this and my other plant 250 mL of water with .25 ML of GH Flora Micro to give them some nitrogen two days ago, then again this morning. Will probably give regular water tomorrow, followed by another dose the next day. Hoping that will give it some nitrogen and get some green back. Also! Trimmed a few fan leaves that were blocking buds... for better or worse.

I moved the marigolds outside of my little cage, then when I checked an hour later, a grasshopper was munching! Ugh! Moved the marigolds back for now. does using diatomaceous earth ward off spider mites as well? For now, I gotta focus on keeping those guys out.

Added some calimagic to the water the last couple days, after noticing some canoeing.
