This is the sour diesel - sprouted in an aero garden before transplanted into soil. The root structure was insane when I moved it into soil

It’s story time kids! Just the other day i realized this; I have no photos of my mom dad sister or brother. Never have. But I have about 16 gigabytes of photos of my plants taken since May on my phone right now.. Well thank god for timestamps on photos because otherwise I wouldn’t have a clue how old these girls are. My Northern Lights, named ‘if I wasn’t Jamaican, why would i be wearing this hat?’, and ‘Owwwww! Over the shoulder boulder holder’ were sprouted roughly May 10 (11 or 12 weeks ago). Unfortunately, my first baby, ‘I am groot’ didn’t make it in the aero garden. But then along came ‘Miss Mia Wallace’, an Amherst sour diesel born fat in the area garden. Check the pics. So as an off and on closet veggie garden enthusiast, I originally wanted to try to casually grow a lil canna-baby-bonsai to feel cool about having weed as a decorative element. Something you don’t know about me is that I have ADHD. But I’d call it attention deficit or sometimes not deficit disorder, cuz when i start down a rabbit hole, I go deep. And apparently, I’ve been in a whole bunch of em. The cannabis rabbit hole has been particularly deep. Reading and learning strains, seeds, growing techniques etc. So thing spiraled slightly out of control and my girls are set up in a 2x2 tent and its FULL as they’re in flower. I just got a cob 1500 w yesterday, and will be returning my Mars Hydro 300 (which replaced a Philzon 600. Poor performance) for the tent, as well as a carbon filter and fan. I’m anticipating a big ol boom tomorrow if not already.soon. so I’m stuck with a 2x2 tent, bursting at the seams, ready to burst more.

Week of July 28-aug 3 Aug 1 So I had a massive mold scare earlier this week. Humidity in the tent and outside was way too high. Smelled of mold/mildew in the tent. I was ready to throw out the lot of em. The sour diesel had lots of foliage and I felt like this was the issue. pruned the shit out of it to allow air in the canopies- ended up doing the same on all 3. Has been ok but today I smelled a bit more - I’ve got them in the den during the 12 hour dark, fan running to dry them out. During the mold scare, here’s what I did: -Immediate evacuation of plants into the living room AC for a while, scrub down the tent with hydrogen peroxide -misted the 3 plants leaves and buds with diluted 3% hydrogen peroxide in water - seemed to help - then today I smelled faint mold again. No visible signs of any issues. Gonna spray them again before lights on. Sorry if this is tough to follow.

Thoughts on how far away I am from harvest? I see amber hairs on sigmas, but not sure what that means. I think 3-4 weeks from harvest, but don’t know what to look for exactly other than clear pistils Any idea?

Well firstly , when to harvest is a matter of preferences with a few guide lines . You don't wanna be harvesting when your plant still has mostly clear trichomes , this will give you poor quality "stone". You typically wanna wait until most of the trichomes are milky/cloudy accompanied by some amber ones my prefered ratio is 80 milky 20 amber . Moving on to some of the signs that your plant is ready for harvest . Your plant will give you signs when its nearing the end of its life cycle you will notice that your plant will stop pumping out calyx hairs , she will slow in the swelling of the flowers , leaves will turn yellow or different colours for seemingly nothing . These are a few of the signs you can look for to ensure that your going to get maximum yield and potency as well . Another simple way to ensure your plants are done before you harvest them is to check your seed banks recommended flowering time and add 2 weeks to that time . I say this because often times plants wont be ready in the ammount of time they say , yes you could cut them down on the day they suggest and still get good bud , but to get even better product from it I usually give it 1 - 2 weeks longer . Another reason I say this is because most of us can't replicate the exact exact enviroment that the breeder made their seeds so that leads to extra time often in grows. Lastly , you can get tools that will help you look at your trichomes on your plant to better help you determine when you wanna harvest exactly , these tools are common and can be found in a variety of places such as Amazon , Wal mart , Camera shops , Grow shops , Ebay , the tools are a "Portable Microscope" and "micro lense" both of these tools are inexpensive and will greatly help in the department of determaning when your plants are ready by allowing you to see the plants trichomes up close and personal so you can see if they are clear , milky/cloudy or amber . Other then that there isnt really much else to discuss on this topic I hope the information provided helps you on your journey to becoming a Grow Master !! -Happy Growing!

Aug 4-10 Aug 6 After a few days of really drying things out due to high humidity, I fed them this morning. The temperature is pretty high - low 30s - but humidity is now in the 30-55 range. Things are looking good for the northern lights but the sour diesel growth is still a bit Light. Also, I’m seeing yellowing leaves towards the bottom and fan leaves.

Aug 18-24 Aug 19 I missed a week due to dysentery in the Oregon trail. Photos labeled ‘Aug 16-ish’ are from last week - Aug 16-ish. Will add new ones later this week as the beauties are asleep now. SO MANY CHANGES!!!! 1. Watering now with just PH’ed water and a splash of molasses. They’re fancy. I know they ideally shouldn’t be, according to the internet, but also it said it was fine. So I’m just trying. 2. I also pruned all of them relatively aggressively to let light through to lower bud spots and also re-LST’d a lot of branches. 3. In addition, I added a booster fan to bring new air into the tent. 4. Fixed my DIY CO2 generator and re-introduced that into the tent but not sure if it’s effective in flowering and with all the wind. 5. Got a jewelers loupe - loupe is just a fancy word for magnify I think. 6. I hang a 50w purple bulb on the tent door during light hours to supplement light waves. Not sure my COB was doing it. THE RESULTS SO FAR? So far the result is awesome. Bud sites under the canopies are growing strong on all plants. They look incredible I want to eat them. Thick and dense in all the right places. Even the runt is impressive. Trichomes are mostly clear on all 3 ladies. I had marked down August 28 as the target harvest date. Not sure how probable that is. Will post pics through the jewelers magnifying device tomorrow.

Week of aug 26. HARVEST WEEK So I had a power blackout this morning and I freaked out as usual because I had done a major flush last night and thought this would be a high humidity situation. Well, dem nugs be iced out! Tri’s are white and cloudy. And it smells like someone is growing marijuana here. 🥁 Gonna start 48 hours dark then harvest. NOT looking forward to the next part. Specifically the weight watchers 80% reduction. AM looking forward to seeing if my babies - Miss Mia Wallace (sour d), If I wasn’t Jamaican why am I wearing this hat (NL #5) and Owwwww over the shoulder boulder holder (also NL#5) - all growsed up.

Good harvest all together! Wish the buds dried denser, learned a bit about trimming sugar leaves Very forgiving strain to grow highly recommended

Plant was too small to start flowering but the buds were incredible and dense. So despite low yield this isn’t the strains fault, rather the grower.
