The mexi has been stretching like crazy and starting to finally produce bud sites. The lsd25’s have been filling out, even the runt is making some nice purple nugs. Even though I messed up early on it goes to show how hardy these plants can be; great genetics. Been busy so I haven’t had time to stay on top of the diary posts

Grow Questions

The one plant seems to be struggling and I’m not sure what the issue is, seems to be nitrogen toxicity, heat stress or overwatering? Maybe a combination of the three. It’s growing slowly and has claw like leaves and twisting yet my other plants seem fine. Anyone have any input?

hey there Dan, you're basically right on all points but the root cause is actually overwatering, what happened was this plant has been chronically overwatered leading to too much availability of the N in the soil, and the heat provided the perfect conditions to incubate "water mold" which has affected the roots leading to that "taco-ing" you're also seeing in the other plants. Pretty important to sort that root mold on the roots otherwise what happens is that plant can wilt and eventually die like the worst one you've got there. You need to follow a very strict wet/dry cycle and accelerate recovery by breaking down problem roots with a chelation agent. Examples of chelation agents are enzymes, amino acids, humic and fluvic acids, beneficial bacteria (but these are slower acting!) and synthetic flushing agents (faster acting!) that you can dilute a bit more than recommended. This problem is very much common so dont beat yourself up ! Hope this helps ! 🚀

Just looking for some input on how you think the grow is going so far or any advice towards growing LSD25 and Mexican Airlines. I’ve noticed some of the lower fan leaves yellowing and drying up, I read that is normal going into flowering just hope it doesn’t spread up the plant

Hey Dan the plantvon the top left looks about perfect. I would do some light defoliation on it removing some of the big leaves on top that are blocking light to lower bud sites. This will oncrease your yield. The plant on the bottom appears to be slightly overfed. You can tell by the dark green foliage. I would back off of the nitrogen just a little and she will do great. That lsd on the right is a different story though. She is showing major signs of stress and is in bad shape. I dee some signs of nutrient toxicity from the clawing leaves and some heat stress from the way some of are kinda curling like a taco. Once they hit flower you want to feed less nitrogen and more pk. I would give her plain water for a couple more feedings. I also noticed you dont have a ph listed. If your ph is out of range ot can cause a long list of issues. I would pick up a ph control kit if possible. I use the general hydroponics kit and it is easy to use. Hope this leads you in the right direction.

@Wizardgreen317, I harvested my one lsd25 and letting the runty one go longer. I probably could have let it go a bit longer but I want to start another run lol sorry for the late reply, I’ve been busy with work/life and haven’t been updating

@Wizardgreen317, hey sorry for the super late reply. Things got a little busy for me and haven’t been keeping up with the updates. Harvested the one LSD25 recently and will post a bit more soon. The mexi isn’t looking as healthy as before but she’s filling out. My mistake as I probably tried to feed too much microbes and probably shocked her

@Wizardgreen317, I just checked on them this morning and they are doing well! At least two of them anyway lol going to give the stunted lsd25 a watering/flush after work or tomorrow. Surprised how much more thirsty the Mexican Airlines is compared to the lsd25 when I watered both of them the same day. Will post an update with some pics later this week. Will try to get some ph readings too

I posted a solution to your question. Feel free to ask if you have any more concerns. Best of luck!

@GanjaDan, glad I could help. You can test the ph of your runoff water from the bottom of the pot next time you water to see how far off it is. Best of luck

@Wicked_Stix, Thanks for the reply! I took into consideration what you said and only fed the healthier LSD and Mexi some water with a little bit of fulvic acid mixed in. I need to flush out the other lsd25 but the soil is still too wet I feel for me to do that without overwatering the plant. Gonna have to let it dry out a little longer. I definitely fed that one too early on and it became stunted, it was already lagging behind the other two so I should have waited another week or so before feeding it. I've only been feeding with microbes EM1 and growing in supersoil. I have a pH pen but just haven't been monitoring it. I was using distilled water for a while and then just started using tap water that I leave out for a few days with an air stone/pump to oxygenate it. I'll test the ph of it and post it during next weeks update. I guess I should be checking the ph as well when I mix in the microbes or fulvic acid

Most of the time it’s cause that leaf is older and when there not enough light this happens a lot in soil so it normal . If the top isn’t yellowing your good and this is just normal stuff that happen. Might be a flux in the feed switching to flower it totally normal. But test your water before the you water and if you do this every time you alway stay in the range but yes oh is usually the reason but nothing to go crazy unless you see this every where then I would flush it

@Wizardgreen317, Thanks for the input! Definitely need to start ph testing the water and balancing it if need be. That's one aspect of this grow I really slacked in, I'm just busy running around and when its time to water/feed I dont take the extra time to do so. Just been trying to do half strength with the EM1 microbes or even 1/4 of what they recommend. I do add some fulvic acid in with the water as well, just started doing that last week

@CRiSPrGrow, thanks boss! I'll definitely start using this method from now on 💪 Now I just need to stop at the store to get some humic and fulvic acid If only I decided to make this grow diary sooner, you've been a great help. Thanks again! Hoping to minimize the mistakes next run around

Seems like I’m getting some deficiency or possibly nute burn on two plants and the runt is still struggling to improve. Will try to flush and see if that improves it over the weekend
