Just wanted to welcome you to my first grow journal on this site. I am medical cannabis patient and have been growing for over three years now. I have Bachelors degree in biology and love plants. So far, I have only done soil grows both indoors and out. For me soil is the easiest medium. I use Fox Farm Ocean Forrest for the veg state and when/if needed provide the plant with Growilla veg. During the Flowering stage I add Growilla bud. To add this I just place a 1/4 of a cup or so when needed. When growing indoors, I like to start with Fluorescent lighting. This seems to make the plant more compact and have a sturdier stems(this also provides a cheaper electric bill). For the flowering stage, I switch to a Vipraspecter 600W lamp. Since I started growing I have been more interested in making my own crosses of cannabis with strains I have an affinity for. For this grow the plants that are possible for a Y chromosome are; tangie, durban poison, jack herer. We will see what happens as the grow continues. If anyone has any questions feel free to ask and I will do my best to provide you with reliable feedback. Thanks for checking out my journal and I hope you are having a great day!

Things are going normal. It looks the cat has taken a bite out of the Jack Herer plant. I let him eat all the ganja he wants. The Durban Poison was started about a week after the other plants thats why it isn't as mature. There is a male plant that just started flowering in the back yard, I am going to harvest and store the pollen just incase none of these plants turn out to be a male. This male plant happened at random and is growing in the crack of the pavement on the porch. If you are interested in how to store pollen, just ask. Hope your week is going well and the ganja is helping with the stress!👍

Third week, My cat got hungry and ate the Durban poison and the jack herer plant. No worries, three other plants are doing great! So this week I trimmed the bottom leaves and branches of the remaining plants. Also, they were topped. Doing this stimulates the growth of the peripheral vegetation, allowing for the plant to grow bushier instead of taller. I left 4 nodes untouched. These 4 tiers will result in 8 colas. Depending how the grow continues there maybe 1 or 2 more topping procedures. Resulting in 16 or 32 colas.

Hey all grow is going as planned. All the plants look healthy and are continuing to do what they do best. I am thinking about trying some side projects with this grow, such as cloning and feminizing some seeds. hope your week is going well and your grows are doing the same. 😀

Plants are doing great! Decided to place them outside to soak up the natural sunlight and to save on my electric bill. I have them under a 70% shade tarp, this helps protect against hail while the plants still get plenty of light. since I have placed them outside they are averaging about 3 in. of growth per day! I am hoping to get 60-70 days of flowering before the first freeze. If this happens earlier I will finish them off inside if needed. These plants have been outdoors 4 days prior or the weekly check in. I have been checking the aroma of the plants by rubbing my hands on the stems and giving them a smell. I always love the smell of Tangie. Since I placed the plants outside they are going to start to flowering and I should be able to gender the plants by next post. Since the plants are starting to flower I decided to give them a boost of nutrients. I am switching up from my normal brand growilla veg and decided to to try Neptune's Harvest Rose and Flower formula. I just follow the directions on the back and use 1 tablespoon per gallon. Made 2 gallons. I apply a coat to the entire plant using the Chapin 20,000... What makes this sprayer the best is that it is the twentieth thousand version and has been perfected!!! 😏Then I divide up the remaining solution by dumping it in the soil. After searching the web for a while I decided to try this brand due to the composition of the fertilizer, some really good stuff in there. They are fresh fish, molasses, yucca extract, seaweed and humic acids at a 2-6-4. Momma always said, "Got to have that molasses!" Its odor is more mild than the Growilla. Party on dude!
