From day zero to hero (hopefully) if I want to document from the very beginning, I'm going to document from the very beginning dammit. A beautiful seed bred by a friend. The seed's mother was very pretty. I'm hoping to do as well. 🙏
Hello brothers and sisters...
Plant this baby girl with her tap root facing down? I mean, I'm sure down is the way to go, but I get a question so might as well make sure...
I'm putting her in Promix. I want to make her life as Kushy as possible. 😂
Day 10 - Getting a little leggy but doing well. Let seedling out of the dome for at least 1 hour a day. He is progressing nicely. Keeping earth somewhat dry. Not watering daily. Soil is moist but making sure there is air that is able to access roots. First true leaves are developing well.
Day 11 - Temperature was high in tent today. This led to some small blueberries to show some leaf curl. I watered my Pink Kush seedling which was dried out a bit. But otherwise not showing any signs of stress.
Day 12 - Pink Kush is pink... this isn't good. Friend suggested it could be a magnesium deficit. The promix has some nutrients in it but I added some 700 ppm water that I was adding to another resevoir. It had a bit heavy Epsom salt in it so a bit more magnesium... I will be transplanting this weekend in all liklihood.
I think I may have stunted this girl in the transplant. I thought the clay would wick the water a bit more than it did. Squiddy didn't grow like I would have wanted her to.
I added more water to the reservoir so the net cup was more submerged. She has responded well since. I may have lost a week. No biggie, as long as she comes along.
I have learned a valuable lesson about planting in promix... bugs love promix when left in hydro systems. Also the promix bleeds into the tanks leaving them murky... Don't like that.
using clay now... I think it was a very good change. Thanks to friends for helping me along on this journey!
Day 22: Added a bit of nutrient mix to the pot... just to top up when I was topping up my blueberries. She's looking good.
Day 25: Just when I was worried that she was stunted...
