Good starting week. First outdoor grow in Thailand. Germination was 100% successful. I soaked seeds in a half full bottle of water and once the seed "popped" I transferred and then I used paper towel method...used ordinary toilet paper and bottled water. I didn't bother with two plates just a little jar lid and I didn't avoid darkness either. Once the tap root was like a little piglet tail and over 5mm long I transfer to a pre-watered pot and potting soil medium. I let the seed sit just couple of mm below the surface. I water with a mist sprayer and only enough to soak a 4cm diameter around the seed site. Then let the soil drain and dry out before adding more (you want the roots to look for water) so this is done daily or twice a day if its a hot low humidity day and the soil dries faster....once they are sprouts above the soil surface I use a simple desk lamp with a 60w cfl bulb.

Still seedlings...one plant progressing a lot better than the others and is showing first five fingered veg leaves. I predict it being to final container and outside grow medium within three days.

Small plants now so moved into 5 gallon grow containers and their veg soil medium. Soil is a cheap local fertilised soil with coco coir. I check the soil for dryness twice per day before deciding on water. The temp is a concern...had a couple of days over 50c most days around 42c but the plants seem to love it. Had some insect damage to some leaves so treated one dousing of veg oil, organic soap and water..sprayed as mist..seemed to work well. My marigolds have mealy bugs and that mixture (tested on the marigolds) killed all the mealy bugs.

I’ve grown mine with Marygold once . And slugs eggs from the Mary gold hatched then ate my ganja seedling. And for insect, I used friendly microbes like BT or Beauvaria.

Interesting Genetics. I have played with and grown real Landrace Thai and wanting to breed with a selected Indica. I'll make sure to peek in on your grow. Tell me more about the genetics if you can?
