This little fella started his life with some problems. He started growing with his root up! So I turned the seed down and put deeper into the soil. Two days later he showed up and started growing normally. And two days after his starter leaves t urned dark green and seem to be very dry.

I finally got my pH meter and a temp sensor and freaked out. It appeared that I was watering my buddy with a pH 8 water. So I flushed the put with 3 liters of pH 5.5 water and he started to feel better, leaves started to turn normal green and growing faster. Leaves started to curl so now he looks like a flying eagle! 🦅 At the end of the week I started to use nutrients.

This week went rather easy with my lad. He's growing well but still not too good compared to other growers. I also noticed there are bright spots on the leaves in random places. Not sure about the reason. It might be an echo from week 1 pH mess up or it might be some disease. I can see the spots on both old leaves and new coming leaves too. Now my pH is good (around 5.5), temperature seems alright, humidity is a little low in average but I don't see it as a major problem.

It’s growing faster now. Finely the core stem got thicker and healthier. But I’m worried about the bright spotted leaves. Now they also start to curl. I’m afraid it’s tobacco mosaic virus cuz I didn’t find any similar cases with anything else except pH swings problem but this usually takes a more systematic appearance - starting at the ends of the leaves and moves along the leaves.

So far so good. She’s growing okay. The only problem I see now is that top leaves start clawing down. Maybe because she’s transferred to blooming stage and I’m still feeding her with grow nutes and she gets nitrogen toxicity? Or overwatering? Taking into consideration that I’m using SIP and her root came all the way into water compartment and it’s underwater... anyways I fed her a little bloom nute - will see how it’s going. She doesn’t seem to be flowering but maybe I’m not looking at the right place? Does anyone know how to figure whether she’s in flowering or still in vegetation?

This week is going great. She still have some of the leaves clawing but situation got better after I flushed with 1 liter pure water and then gave her some starving for 3 days. She finally turned into flowering stage! I also tried some LST for the lowest branches cuz top leaves got really huge and take the most of the light. Hope it helps.
