I thought that only 2 out of the 3 seeds were going to pop, but all 3 look like they are going to make it. Seems like the last seed to pop might be a little runty. I am using Fox Farms Ocean Forrest again because they never let me down. This is my first ever CBD run, so if anyone has tips on CBD plants feel free to let me know.
Description
Purplediol CBD Auto is a 90% indica strain that is very high in CBD and low in THC, approximate CBD:THC ratio of 34:1. It is a hybrid cross of Kush Rose Auto CBD x Afghan Rose Auto CBD.
CBD levels are around 17% while THC is very low at about 0.5%.
Everything seems to be going perfect. The runt is still being a runt, but shes coming along. No deficiencies or issues at all with no nutes, just Fox Farms.
These girls exploded this week! I have to raise the light a LOT every morning when I check on them.. The first hairs have come in, and the first signs of purple. I am starting to get excited about these plants. The runt is still a runt. The runt is like one solid stick, while the other 2 plants are big and bushy. All of them are very healthy. So far these are the easiest plants I have ever grown. I was led to believe that CBD plants were difficult, but this isn't the case here.
The runt turned out to be a stick. No side branches. All 3 are turning purple/black. Zero signs of deficiencies and almost 4 feet tall. I hope the stretch is over, or I am going to run out of room. Such healthy and happy plants.
I have never grown a CBD plant before. Do I harvest/dry/cure the exact same way? Do I look at the trichomes the same? Do I do anything at all different? Keep in mind the CBD levels are around 17% and THC 0.5%.
You have to work like if it was THC , do exactly the same. The only things that could be different from a THC producer is the fact that the CBD will not get you stone or high. How to treat the plant and how to check the trichomes is the exact same way for both
Still no need for any food. Everything still looking good. This is going to be an amazing harvest. I cant wait to test the pain relief. I think about 2 more weeks.
She faded a LOT this week. She is clearly ready for harvest. I love these colors and smell. My wife says it smells like bandannas. I say fruity pebbles. When I get time I will start the trimming process in the next day or 2. I stopped watering them and leaving them in the dark till then. I will update as I harvest and cure. I used nothing but Fox Farms soil, and R.O. water through the whole grow.
These girls were the healthiest plants I have ever grown, with the least amount of effort. I gave then absolutely nothing but R.O. water and Fox Farms soil.
The buds worried me a little, because they were so thick that they took a long time to dry and cure. They just wanted to stay wet forever, even in the Nevada climate. No mold tho. It is hard to describe the effects from pure cbd plants. All I can say for sure, is my joints back and feet pain is definitely less after smoking. These plants gave me enough of a harvest that I will be able to do tons of testing.
