Reserva Privada Sour Diesel Cuttings

Welcome everyone! 😃👋 For those of you who have seen my current diary, this is round 2 of the Reserva Privada Sour Diesels that I took cuttings of the 2 phenos I grew from seed I have in my current diary, which are just finishing off nicely and will be cut down in another 2 and a half weeks! And for those new to my diaries, this is my second journal on growdiaries of which, as I said above, is my next diary entry as I took cuttings when the two current girls were still in the last week or so of their veg cycle. I gave a lot of the clones away and kept the two I liked most for my next round but I will also be taking cutting from these girls and pick 1 to keep as a mother plant since I have future plans to go perpetual by getting a second smaller tent for seedling and veg stages. The veg set up will be similiar to my current 4ft x 4ft (1.2 meters x 1.2 metres for the non US 😉) however I will be getting a smaller 3ft x 3ft (90cm x 90cm), 2 more QuantumBoard's from Atreum lighting (these things are the dogs bollocks) with their custom canopy frame (I love the sexy matt black contrast to my otherwise white and silver tent) as well as adding 1 more Atreum Lighting Light bar to get some more of the red spectrum for bud growth and potency. The reason for the driver change over will be to supply the veg tent with a driver as well as getting drivers which will be used for a Power Distribution Module (Essentially a box that controls the dimming and power distribution function) and for reasons beyond my understanding it has to be a certain type of driver and they all have to be the same voltage. Other than the lighting changes, I will also be swapping over my current Black Orchid fan and carbon filter from the 4 x 4 to the 3 x 3 (Or possibly just use them in the drying coupboard since vegging plants dont smell much) and I will be upgrading to an AC infinity fan and carbon filter for the 4 x 4 as well as getting the controller to keep better control of my temperature and humidity levels. Apart from the lighting and ventilation upgrades I wont be doing all that much else in terms of big upgrades (since the lighting and ventilation tends to be the biggest cost!). Since my grow environment will be pretty much on autopilot with all the new equipment, I will be looking into my next venture in the grow in terms of seed genetics. I really love the Sour Diesel (as you may have guessed) and there is a fairly local breeder who breeds Sour genetics which seems to be lighting the country up. I was also talking with a friend about when we used to grow and the strain in particular that came up had been on my mind every time I think of seeds. Unfortunately you can no longer get the strain we grew and for the life of me I cant remember the breeder. It was the almightily smelly, G13 haze. The closest I can find to the original strain (which seems to be shrouded in mystery) is Mr. Nice's G13 x Hashplant. Hopefully this plan sounds as good as it is in my head! I will be sticking to the 5 gallon (19 Litre) fabric pots as their final pots, as they do a really good job of providing good air flow to the soil and roots and I never have any issues with them. I would definitely recommend using plastic pots to start if you intend on repotting as the fabric pots are tricky to repot from. For now though, I am using tiny 1 litre pots for the two cuttings in a soil mixture I made from a blend of different nutrients which I have kindly listed the brands in my nutrients section. So just to catch everyone up I use BioBizz Light soil which already has nutrients present as well as perlite, however I do mix in my own too, I fell in love with organic nutrients in my last grow and whats even better about it is that it can also be used as a top amendment feed as well as making compost teas for a fast induction to the plant. I use a mixture of Bat Guano, Worm castings, Fish blood and bone and a light watering with water mixed with liquid seaweed 24 hours prior to repotting. The two cuttings have been vegging out on my window sill after they became established and have been getting stretchy. I have topped both girls in different places as both girls had gotten quite leggy but Pheno 2 decided to top itself with no new vegetative growth coming from the top of the plant! I will be doing the same as the last grow and will be vegging the girls out for as long as needed as I dont have time restrictions on my grows and would rather get the best out of each plant. The reason is that I was quite unfimiliar with the growth rate of the LED QB's I had gotten and the girls in my last grow were vegged under a 300W Blurple LED panel which doesnt have the same growth effect. I also like to top and train my plants and allow good time for recovery. I will be continuing the same pattern of training and will be concentrating the growth from 2 sets up main nodes from the stem and will top the plant multiple times to achieve 12 main colas on each plant. To achieve this I have started the process by topping th plants once at the 5th node (In this case I went with the 5th node on Pheno 1 and 3rd node on Pheno 2 due to it topping itself of main growth) and I will take off any other growth leaving only 2 main shoots. Both main shoots will then be topped 6 more times which will result in 12 main top colas. I wont be going with a scrog net and instead I use the bending and tying down method which I just find much easier especially when it comes to feeding and flushing in flower.
