1st Grow, some random bag seed from a friend. Trying to learn really more than anything. Soil medium is Fox Farm Marine Cuisine. Only Giving around 5-10ml of water a morning. Measuring With a GroPro glass.
Week 2 has been going great. Plant seems to be thriving. Moving over to the 5 Gallon Pots, seed starters have been fantastic so far. I've been watching for some slight wilting, indicating too much water. We seem to be communicating just fine.
This week was great. I did some more research regarding lights, and decided to switch from my 150w HPS to a 600W LED. I always had the light, but just wasn't confident it was what would be best for the grow environment. I'll continue to monitor for any signs of severe stress in the plant.
She definitely seems to have responded positively to the LED switch. She's opening up and spreading out. Throughout this week she definitely seems to have shown signs of over-watering, so I began doing so every other day. and more-so farther from the plant base, with the intention of roots stretching and growing firmer deeper in the soil medium.
So far so good. I've been trying to research different nutrients to determine what would really be beneficial during the bloom stage. Because this is my first grow, I think I may lay off any nutrients to help me get a better base understanding of the plant itself. I've done countless hours of research, but I think my own growing experience will speak volumes for me personally and I want to build that knowledge on a good base. Happy Growing :D
I've been doing quite a bit of stress training this week too to try and really promote his outwards stretch
I did some more research this week on the grow conditions of my environment. I've learned that the light was too high before so I lowered it. Then I saw my plant reacting to the light intensity so I tried to raise it a little. I think I found the sweet spot. Currently I've removed all stress training methods. So its standing straight up, other than a small support its leaning against.
This week I chose to switch to flowering. Yes, I know I am extremely early and will most likely have a pitiful yield. But I dont care about that right now. I'm trying to use this one as an opportunity to learn about the plant and how it reacts to specific interval changes to its environment.
So far I feel like I've learned something new every day. I will continue to explore different techniques and try to push boundaries for the remainder of the grow.

A lot of growth happening still. trying to let these flower sites continue to gather light. I'm loving the colors I'm seeing in the leaves,as well as the buds. She is going strong!
She seems to be responding well to the nuitrients with no signs of burns or anything. Happily growing <3
I decided to change over to a 300w LED that I have. Even though it's a lower wattage, I think the Red LED emitted will be more powerful for the plant, rather than the strong blues from my 600. My research told my that Blue was stronger for Veg and Red for Bloom. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong XD
I have really been focusing on Flower site production and increasing Tent humidity. Seems to be doing phenomenal. I have really been watching a serious boom in the Flowering of this little girl and I couldn't be more proud. Best wishes to all out there.
Very happy with the growth and progress this week. I'm continuing to follow a strict nutrient routine. She really seems to be responding well. I'm feeding twice and giving plain water the other times. She smells really great. Trichomes are very Glassy right now.
Really been doing great this week. The one fan Leaf was showing signs of nutrient deficiency so I actually fed the max recommended nutrients to the plant. No issues yet seems to be growing and thriving really hoping to see more stretch from the cola sites soon.
So Cletus has been doing phenomenal. Really strong accents of citrus or lemon around her flower sites. Extremely sticky to the touch. Also my cats become a fiend for these resin covered leaves so that's great.
She's starting to get thicker at the flower sties now. I'm really wanting to see some better stretching but haven't yet. I think a lot of this is due to the hard stress I introduced for weeks with not enough Vegetation Recovery time, I realize that was a mistake, but good thing I did on this guy. That would have been a much harder lesson on some strong genetics. I've also been pushing the MAX Recommended of the Nutrient system I'm following. She seems to be doing just fine.
I captured some really neat shots of the trichomes. It's quite incredible to study this process and learn about the different characters and colors expressed by a plant.
I also have major concerns. My environment has been noticeably hotter during the day and I've noticed a much less presence of 'sugar' on my sugar leaves. I think theyre burning off? Idk. Its concerning so trying to keep it cooler
He was definitely extremely resinous and I had a high production of trichomes. I noticed when the environment was too humid a lot of the trichomes were lost.
This was just a random bagseed I did what I could to take care of him. This was my very first grow and I really wanted it to be a strong learning experiment where I could Bend and test different methods of stress training and nutrients and watering so on and so forth. I am really happy with how everything turned out obviously I had a pitiful yield but I did learn quite a bit and now I'm excited for my stronger genetics.
Just a mid seed? I remember back about 8 years or so ago I quit fn with mid started finding seeds here an there n my loud. Mids ok with love lol. But u will be better off with sum good genetics
@Jerrylarrydalton, thanks for the advice. I did choose to order some good genetics and I have them in hand. For my next grow I will be Growing 'Purple Moby Dick' by Dinafem and 'Gorilla Zkittlez' by Barney's Farm. I plan to do a Deep Water Culter Bucket Grow for those two.
I'm trying to use this 'junk' grow as achangeto really learn more about how it grows. How it responds to different things, etc. So I can try to be most successful with my first shot at good genetics :D
Good luck with you're grow @btcywtsitw, check out my plants, thier on day 24 / 25 and are Dutch passion and Dinafem auto flower genetics. Hope you get a good crop!
This week I really plan to focus on his stretch. I want to create more flower sites so I plan to stretch each of them out the best I can. I am brand new to growing, and am only doing stress training based off of what I have researched.
I am ALL OPEN EARS to any advice, tips, or criticism.
