These photos are 6 or 7 days after first sprout, not quite sure because they came up while I was out of town for the weekend. It has been 10 days from when i stuck the seeds in the dirt. I have no idea how powerful these lights are because I got them for free from someone else who was just using them to grow veggies. I think they are kinda weak because the plants seem to have stretched more than they should, not sure tho because I have zero growing experience. Ive been slowly lowering the lights and monitoring for burn/wilting. Just using Fox Farms Ocean Forest soil and distilled water for now, will probably be using organic dry amendments in a few weeks. Any tips would be appreciated.
Transplanted to larger pots early this week, and got a bigger light at the end of the week! The two I was using were only pulling 30watts each so I decided to buy a mars hydro sp 150. Excited to see what kind of extra growth that gives me next week, only been under it for one day so far but they seem to like it.
I top dressed with some Dr. Earth organic fertilizer this week 2 tbs of all purpose and 1 tbs of bud and bloom for each plant. I am thinking I will let them veg for one more week and then flip to flower because the tent is gonna start getting crowded if I veg for too long and I need to figure out who is a male and give em the axe.
Grow was perhaps a bit slower than it could have been because I transplanted them this week. I am planning on slowly changing the light cycle over this week so they will be at 12/12 by the start of next week. Really curious to find out how many females I have here, hoping for at least 2.
This is the first full week the lights were on 12/12 cycle. All plants revealed sex this week so I had to kill two of my plants. Pretty happy that 3/5 turned out to be female though. Top dressed the soil with a 50/50 blend of some more Dr. Earth flower girl and All purpose organic dry amendments. 4 tbs total per plant. This is the only nutrients I am adding to this grow besides that I am just watering with PHed tap water left to sit open for a few days before watering.
Not much to report this week. Got a bit more stretch and the bud sites developed a bit more. Just did watered as needed and did a bit more lst. I ordered some real growers recharge after hearing/reading about the importance of microbes so I will be giving them some of that next week.
Moving right along. Just watered and added a bit more recharge this week. I hope the buds continue to bulk in the coming weeks. Probably going to top dress again next week.
These pictures are from a couple days into week 5 because I was out of town for the weekend when I normally take pics. They are frosting up nicely and have a piney gas smell to them when you rub the stem. Still not an overwhelming smell when opening the tent like I expected. Some of the leaves on the far left plant are starting to yellow out, so I top dressed the soil with some Dr earth flower girl and added some more recharge. That will be the last feeding just gonna let em ride and water when dry from now on.
Some leaves started yellowing and dying. The plants did get extra droopy this week when I went out of town and they needed water so it could be that? Otherwise it's going fine and they are smelling pretty good.
The one on the right really started fading this week. Trichomes are a mix of clear and cloudy with the very sparse amber right now. I'm going to give them another week and then probably chop even if they don't start ambering out because my other plants I have in the veg tent right now really need the space. Cut off 2 hours of light to help em finish a bit faster so they are on 10/14 now.
Also I sampled a bit off the lower popcorn buds a few days ago and the smoke was pretty nice, excited to see how it all turns out after a good dry and cure.
Cut one of them down this week because it looked about ready to me. The other two still have lots of white pistils and not too many amber trichs so I'm gonna keep them going for another week or so. I moved them into a smaller tent because my white og needs the space.
Got about an ounce off the one I harvested.
