Using supersoil on my first photoperiod grow and mainlining, been training these girls for several weeks and just put them into flower.. Vegged for several weeks under metal halide 250-400w I’m not expecting a faultless grow but it’s all experience so i can see where I went wrong.. so far so good 😊 I will take the unwanted lower growth sites middle of next week and hopefully gauge it correctly 🤞🤞🙄
10-14 days into flower.. all is good so far plants are healthy happy etc changed from 400w MH to 600w hps, I expected more stretch during the first week of 12/12 but so far its minimal..
21 days of flower.. getting some frosting on the upper fan leaves.. happy that the stretch was minimal and the canopy is pretty flat.. I think the super soil is a little hot but there’s a way to go yet 🤞😉👊
28 days into flower: Plants are coming along nicely, developing lots of frost and starting to smell quite a bit, a very intense zesty smell!..... the supersoil seems to be a bit nitrogen rich but hopefully it won’t cause too much of a problem heading into the second half of flower.
Things are going well, they have started drinking a bit more.. buds are now starting to swell up noticeably between weeks 😊 the leaves are still pretty dark but there’s no issues that I can see, I am hoping to finish these after 10 weeks of 12/12 so this is hopefully the half way mark 👍
Day 41 of 12/12 I gave the soil a top dressing consisting of around a handful of each :bat guano :sea kelp and :beetle frass... Plants are really starting to mature, the pots are drying faster now so watering more, some of the pistils are turning orange and the buds are fattening up nicely, they look to be quite dense heavy buds 😊
My dehumidifier is now inside the tent keeping the RH in the appropriate range.
Day 48 of 12/12 a couple of deficiencies showing up in the soil now so will will add a bit more lime and Epsom salt for the next lot.
I have been removing a few of the larger fans bit by bit over the last few days to expose some of the shadowed buds and create some more airflow around the canopy...
They are still drinking heavily and maturing very fast, the trichome’s are becoming cloudy, I think they will be ready in a couple of weeks 😉
8 weeks old now! The harvest window is truly open... mostly cloudy trich’s and the pistils are over 50% amber on most plants.
The cola’s are pretty large and dense, have mostly filled out as much as they possibly will.
Harvest will be underway at some point over the next week so 9 weeks maximum for these Moby dicks. 👊😋
Absolutely love this strain, was a pleasure to grow, each plant was grown from seed and grew at a similar pace and size in 8.5 weeks.
After drying for 9 days I separated the buds into brown paper bags for a few days and then trimmed.
The taste and effects are almost identical from plant to plant.
A really enjoyable smoke that can creep up on you quite fast and put you in the zone for some time.
Moby Dick is on the cards to be grown again by me as I am enjoying it very much. 💥👌😎
