New clones. Only known info- ?cut S3 to jiffy pots with rooting hormone.
Looking droopy, tacoing, very tips brown <1mm, yellowing@1mm.
Day 7: Pods to pots S11 with .5t/5l Boost (starting at w1d1 now)
Gotta keep tellin myself this a learning process, 1 bud will be better than 3 dead plants.
Smaller pots taking about a week to dry.
Taking plants outside while the weather holds in the afternoon. Soil drys out quicker and plants look much better after. To windy out today so hopefully the window will do.
Rotation every 2 days for the window.
House plants and tomatoe plants loving excess nutes.
Officialy to cold to go outside. Been under 50F all week. Not gunna say the S word yet, though it's wet and cold enough. Furnace will be on soon changing the environment, yet again.
Bigger and final pots, 3days ago.
Havent had to water all week. Hoping the soil is draining well enough. Lifting the pots up for some more air circulation.
Adding a cheap usb fan to the hut today for air circulation, soil moisture and atem strength.
C-Starting new groth, root system the slowest out of the 3. My runt.
D-Best root system, lots of new growth, scaley grey white on leaves needs looking into. Hope the burnt edges are done.
E- looking ok, lots of new growth, small amount of burnt tips.
Every plant is showing new growth, even runty little C.
Staying inside, as snow is sticking around now. Temperature and Rh are harder to control in the hut. Humidity on the greater room windows is going to be an issue, looking into a dehumidifier for the room.
Rotating the pots a quarter turn every 3 days.
Plant C is growing up and Plants D and E are getting much more bushy. Super happy to see some progress even though its slow.
Going to be trying out this screen of green thing soon. Still rotating pots for light. I need a better light in a bad way.
Put an Eva Dry dehumidifier in the room. Dropped the rooms RH by about 10%. Need to plastic the windows in the grow room to keep the temp a bit more steady. Damn snow.
Did a flush this week, helped out the browning edges of the plants. Back to the Boost food for a root push.
Ive researched the hell outa switching over from veg. I dont think its time yet despite being like 6 weeks in. Stretch on these isnt very much from what I understand.
Fan is working nicely. Fucking fruit flies. Need to pick up some sticky traps.
Woke up this past weekend to see E went through a growth spurt. After having a crummy week and chronic health issues pop up. This completely made my day, felt like i was finally doing something right.
Just about at the height to start some gentle screen of green.
These little fruit flies/aphids are going to drive me nuts. Need to fix that or next year keep them indoors all the time.
Apparently there is a help farm within a mile of me and people have poor luck getting females outside. Scratch, that idea.
C and D dont seem to be doing much growing. E is doing well.
Fruit flies are still around. Bought a fly sticky trap last night so hopefully that works. Not an easy thing to find when its snowing outside.
Put up the screen and adjusted branches a touch. Moved the plants around in the tent. E, D, C now.
Ready to stick them all out in the snow for an hour to kill the damned fruit flies. The trap works but ffs passive capture takes to long.
Trip out of town for 4 days at the end of the month. The smell in the room is faint, more of a greenhouse smell than full on pot. Got an odor eater to test out. So far it helps for the direct smell if i open the tent. Definately dont want the house sitter on the main floor actively looking for the odor. If they come upstairs to check things out i don't want a full on treasure hunt for an odor leading to a locked door.
Have a good week all, stay warm but not 2 warm.
Been going fairly well. Fruit flies are still an issue, going to look for some insecticide today. Another light would be beneficial, ill check pricing out.
Have a good week all.
Using Safer's brand End All insecticide for the aphids. Tested on D (brown) a couple days ago and seems ok. Used it on all 3 yeasterday and the population has definately dropped.
Cleaned up the lower area near the main stem today. Moved around some LST.
Looking at a bigger set up.
Defoliated some lower leaves that werent getting light. A bit more LST to help them bush out a bit more.
Got a new light as an early xmas gift. I know I've probably stunted 2/3 of them with so many changes. If not all of them. The one is still growing, loves the new light. I will continue to try this grow. Ive got some beans waiting for the next shot.
Gone this weekend. Will let them dry up a touch to start the week. This soil retains alot of moisture. Going to water before I leave and they should be ok. Getting out of prohibition land for the weekend to the hippies out west, 🤣. Fingers crossed on a black friday tent.
Aphids spray killed 99% of the little bastards. Sadly that 1 that survived has repopulated. Sprayed again. (So much for staying natural.)
Notes for next time.
-Aphids stay outside. (No inside outside)
-Fabric pots and better soil
-Better circulation
Have a good week y'all. Stay warm but not 2 warm.
Santa comes through early again with a new tent. 2.5 x 2.5 x5. Poor plants keep getting everything moved around way to much. Ive stunted the shit outa them.
New environment has stabalized quicker than i thought.
Damned aphids still around. Cant wait to be done and take the little bastards outside to freeze to death.
Got some bag seed waiting for after this grow.
Stay warm, yall but not to warm, cheers.
Sprayed for aphids and all the plants started to curl up/taco. Not surprised at all. Going to flush for this week then just flip to flower and see what i get.
Oh, did i mention the furnace shit the bed? It was a chilly 58* when i came home that morning to find it. So they had a bit of cold as well. Fixed now but aggravating none the less.
Just using straight water for the past week. Flushing out the aphid killer.
Defoliated a bunch of dead canoed leaves. Starting to see some slow growth upwards.
Xmas I believe will be flip to flower day. Unless i get some amazing growth, Im just gunna call it. Leave the tent outside in the blistering cold, kill all the aphids and start again in the new year.
Still using straight water to flush this week. As suggested I will give a dose of cal-mag this week. Otherwise it's still flip to veg eve-eve.
Help is always welcome. Stupid aphids still live. Stay warm and safe this holiday season yall!
They decided to grow about 2-3 inches this week. Dont get me wrong, I'm happy they're growing, but I'd like to flip them to flower. Ive stressed them alot but hopefully I'll get something.
Gave a dose of Cal-Mg as suggested on the 25th. Pulled off a few leaves on the underside for air flow.
Did a haircut today. Nothing crazy but needed to open up the bottoms for air flow. Less than 30% removed
Moved things around in the tent a bit to clean things up. Not much else to say.
Have a good week and stay warm but not to warm.
Humidity has gone nuts this week, Upwards of 80%. Ordered an inline fan should be here later this week. Until then I'm putting an Eva-Dry into the tent and some rice. (feed the damn fruit flies if nothing else) Watering daily.
So far not seeing any balls. Keeping fingers crossed.
Have a good week all, keep warm but not to warm.
Alot of work to keep RH under 80% and the temp above 75. Still the odd fruit fly but way less.
All 3 still appearing female. Made tea with leaves and stems last week. Perfect mellow and short mid-morning buzz.
Stay warm yall, but not to warm.
All 3 are looking good. Trimming some fan leaves to dispurse more light. Humidity is under 60%. Temps controlable around 75*F.
Going to keep going as is. Thanks again for help from everyone, much appreciated.
Stay warm yall, just not to warm.
Been a good week. Fruit flies are 99% irradicated. As i write i dont see any, knock on wood, however I wont be surprised if 1 flew out.
Getting super excited, aught to be a good April 2020.
Stay warm yall, just not to warm.
Upped the temp this week a touch. 3-5 degrees and the flowers have loved it. Getting into a good watering routine of 500-750mL daily.
The tea from the leaves has been amazing. Thinking about trying some canna butter with them. If anyone has done this let me know how it worked out for you.
Stay warm yall, not to warm.
Maintaining status quo. Always up for suggestions.
Soil isn't holding as much moisture as it used to. Going to pay closer attention to that. Turning my exhaust fan off for a few hours this afternoon to see if that will help the soil absorb after a good watering.
Going to look into a jewlers loupe. Starting to get some little frosty buds.
Stay warm yall, not to warm.
Moisture issues are sorted out from last week.
I don't have a meter for the water pH. (See the purple stems now.) Locally they are very pricey. If anyone has a decently priced solution in Canada, please let me know. Next grow I hope to get more in to fine tuning.
As always stay warm, just not to warm.
Faintly fruity or citrus smell when i open the tent now. Got ahold of a liquid pH test kit. Discovered i was using a pH of 7-8ish. Dialed it down to 6-6.5.
Been a good week. No adjustments other than the pH. Loupe came in this week so i'm learning with that. Hairs are 75% gold, terps looking cloudy to me. Feeding them this week then flushing unless im given a reason not to... As always stay warm, not to warm.
Getting closer. Smells amazing in the tent, a blast of a sweet citrus, everytime I open the tent.
No changes just maintaining theese last few weeks.
Flush is pending.
Just flushing this week.
Getting more comments on odors outside of the grow room from those that don't know I grow. I smell it all day, so i dont smell it anymore. Legal here, so I don't really care. Will look into odor reducing measures next grow.
Hope everyone is managing during the global uncertainty. Please be excellent to each other and best of luck to you all.
Getting there... its been painful this last week waiting. No changes from my end. Just plain H20, corrected for pH.
Noticing the buds bulking up. If thats even a thing. The branches are starting to lean from the weight.
Currious to see outdoor grows this summer. Will a decline in industry and polution improve the growth of plants?
Please be good to each other! Please keep social distancing and isolating. We can do this!!! Stay warm, but not to warm.
Loved documenting the growing process with little remaining trace. Being able to look at other grows is an invaluable tool. Thanks to Growdiaries for this. To everyone who commented THANKS a million it means alot. Thanks for being an awesome community!
Now to find dirt and a carbon scrubber for next grow.
Everyone stay safe rn! Wash your damn hands and stay inside so we can ALL get out of this sooner! Stay warm but not to warm!
