Unfortunately I do not know the company the original seeds came from as these were sold to me by a friend as clones. The Green crack has outperformed growth compared to the OG Kush nearby significantly though. I put very little time or effort into these plants for the first 6-7 weeks and due to being planted late in the season and in a bad location for sunlight they did suprisingly extremely well. WPM hit them as noted in my logs though leading to a lesser disease resistance but then again I found a bunch of other plants in my front and back yard with what looked like WPM as well so maybe they didn't stand a chance.
The buds that fell off and were dried and half cured smoked very well and gave a good high. I would definitely like to try to grow this strain again under beter conditions and more attention.
I did not use it enough to form a proper opinion, but for when I did use it I saw a marked increase in bud growth and density. I'll be sing it combined with the MaxiGrow product for the next one.
Couldn't keep up with the WPM. The combination of warm days and cool nights in the start of this fall has made it a perfect storm for WPM to form overnight when the leaves are moist and the air is humid. I was out there and decided to cut every single leaf with any sign of it off. Got 1 plant done and when I got to the other GC plant I threw the towel in when I found a few bugs I believe to be aphids., plus a seriously hard storm had blasted them the night before and this plant was keeled over pretty good with top heavy colas weighing the branches down. Trichomes are mostly cloudy with the very odd amber. I know the pistils at the top are still 50-60 percent yellowed (not clear or white) but the rest of the plant is mostly brown pistils and a lighter green with hints of yellow on the leaves indicated it was getting there so I chopped her down, trimmed very tight to the buds to ensure any sugar leaf with WPM is removed from the buds. I did not find a single patch of WPM on any buds thankfully and inspected each one carefully. Found the off little egg looking white bean here and there. I'm assuming whatever bug has started to hand around.
Plant is up hanging in my grow tent at 60 percent RH and 20 degrees C with the exhaust fan running on top and a circ fan at an opening in the bottom to pull in and circulate air. I know I need to ensure I keep an eye out for any WPM and discard immediately and keep humidity down and airflow up during this process. I did not get to flush for as long as I wanted, however the last nute dose was only 1/4 strength and heavy heavy rainfall combined with daily waterings have hopefully done the trick. We'll see if any taste from the white wash surfaces although being 99.9% water I doubt it. The sulfur from the Defender spray should hopefully also have washed out by now.
I have a scale on the way and will weigh in the dry product from both plants when they are done. OG Kush will not be included in this log as they were pretty much shoved out of the way by the GC and won't produce much.
Best treatment for combating white powdery mildew at first sign of it? I used a non toxic sulfur spray with some defoliation of the more prominent leaves, especially any close to a bud site. It helped keep it at bay but had to be reapplied weekly and still fighting it daily.
Looks like your close to harvest. If the Milk cure doesn't do the job you can use 2 teaspoons apple cider vinegar to 1 quart of water and spray her early in the morning before the sun is shining on her to prevent any leaf burn. This is the more extreme treatment of the two. Hope this helps👍
A lot of growers are having issues with morning dew sitting on their plants because of the cooler temperatures. You can drive a few stakes to support and try to cover her with a lightweight frost blanket to keep her dry at night.
@Philindicus, yeah we are having real humid fall here and then nighttime temp fall hard. Good call might try that. The white wash may be working I noticed significantly less wpm today, sprayed again for good measure
@@Removed, hey I havnt weighed the haul yet its up drying still. I didn't have a scale yet to weight it wet.
The smoke from the small branch that broke off I dried and smoked without a cure and it was good, not harsh, energetic high
