I planted these #purplekush July 31 the picture taken was on August 3, these are from breeder #Jordanoftheislan.
They started under a shop light with 4 T8 bulbs from Costco LED's, I love how I don't need to worry about heat stress and can really keep my plants close to the light keeping branching compact.
Sorry I made a mistake on my dates these were started August 31 sprouted septs 3 and this pic was taken on sept 17th, these beauties are growing while I watch them.
This is day 28 from seed all 6 seeds made it and now I'm just waiting for a few more days before they start flowering time. I placed another shop light with 4 more T8 bulbs last week so I have 250w of florescent light this is by far better than my 400w Metal halide.
So I finally picked out my four ladies in a 4x4x8 tent I now have a 400w HPS light, I feel like a 600w would work best but a new reflector might just do the trick.
In few days from now I will water it with some bloom food stay tuned.
Played around with the plants a bit and found they worked better under the lights this way.
fed them with General hydroponics nutrients 3m per gallon to start of. other FloraBloom, and KoolBloom ill have to keep a close eye on them as the only food my plants have gotten are from the soil contents.
Well,well,well this is the start of week 3 and these Purple Kush look like winners, so easy to grow and don't mind stress at all.
The one plant I filmmed is almost twice as big as her sisters and im sure is gonna produce allot of AAA grade bud..
Keep an eye on these beauties im sure they will be eye candy at harvest.
Another week has gone and these girls are just exploding with flowers, I can say for certain that these PK are perfect for any newbie they do not need much maintenance when it comes to what you feed them as they do well with minimal levels of plant food.
There is one plant that separates itself from the rest and that's the plant that I FImmed.
I actually did not know at the time that she was going to be a female for certain but took a chance with her and wow am I ever happy I did, this pheno is just amazing, from the growth of her side branches to the low maintenance that I needed to give them, this strain for me is one of those strains I will try and grow at least once a year.
Hi everyone I had a question about placing a 4 bulb t4 shop light into my 4x4 tent, I already have a 400w hps but my one plant that I scrog'd is just so massive.
My main concern is that the different light spectrum might stretch my flower making the buds less dense?? should I be?
nope its more the opposite. Only not enough light makes the plants stretch..... Various spectrums are not aproblem. you can mix each kind of light together. So if they stretch its not enough or to far away.... greetings
Well week 5 has arrived and let me tell you these Purple Kush are starting to explode with flower, Im going to be flushing my plants in a few days as it looks like they are getting a build up of nutrients. The one monster in the back left is a lighter color green then the rest of the plants and she is 3 times the size because I fim'd her and also tied down a few branches, I couldn't even count how many flower spots she has. Once I flush I will wait till next week and switch to a powder Kool Bloom and hopefully I will get some solid nugs.
Here is am update on these girls I flushed the plants about 5 day ago and let the soil dry up a bit fed them yesterday with a little more food , next feed I will be using some flora bloom in powder for for 2 more feeding before they get the last flush. One of my Purple Kush plants is a light lime green and is 3x the size of my other PK I trained her with LST and FIM but the Pheno type is certainly a winner. I have a few cutting in veg state and will run this strain one more time.
who has some experience with placing Ice on soil to get nice colours? I would love if one go these PKs turned im not sure if Ice water and or Ice works? I am leaving the fan on high to get a colder temperature at night so I guess we will wait and see.

Well another week down and these girls are just loving the new nutrients, I switched my liquid cool bloom to Powder I have about 10 days left might need a few extra weeks with one of these plants, ill name her #4 possibly because I used her for clones but she is looking mighty frosty...... I have to say Jordan of the Island seeds are the real deal I for the longest time grew B.O.G. seeds and love all his strains but Jordan of the Island seeds are amazing never had any not sprout in less than 48HRS and 80% female ratio. This is my first grow in a few years but looking forward to Growing some Ingrid thanks to all who have followed or at least enjoyed the pics.
Alright guys so the day has finally come and I had to cut down 3 of my 4 plants im about a week early on 2 but I spotted white powder mildew and decided this was best for them and me.
Although there was very little on them I think they were good to go I usually prefer a more active high than cough lock anyhow, These girls were great to grow pretty easy although they didn't like me over watering and took a long time to get back to growing after one bad decision and also a little finicky with the amount of food they wanted but overall a great score.
Thanks to JORDANOFTHEISLAND for killer seeds I will start a new journal with his genetics and a strain called Black Lavender so please follow.
Once I have dried my product I will give final harvest details ,so far my whole house stinks and my eyes even water from the gassy grapes Purple Kush.
So there you have it guys Purple Kush Im so pleased with this strain Ive only downloaded pics of 2 plants as my other 2 still need a couple days to dry, I decided on doing a dry trim for them this time around and I am very pleased with the terpenes this way as appose to wet trimming, although its allot more time consuming I wouldn't recommend if your doing a big harvest.
I have to say that the smell of these plants literally made my eyes burn that's how gassy they are and I love it The smoke is just great for unwinding I will keep this strain around forever its a winner in my books. Thanks for watching my grow and I will post more pics of the other 2 plants in a few days the 2 other plants are beautiful so keep watching.
