Day 71 - Into Week Eleven! It looks like this grow is going to go a little longer than the previous two. The combination reason is that I've got the lights a little bit higher in this grow, and the overall temperature in the grow room is averaging fifteen degrees (F) lower than the last grow. It's much easier to keep my grow warm than it is to keep it cool, and the Spring/Summer grows ran upwards of 85f at points, for days at a time.
This grow has been sitting at a solid 72f the entire way through. As a result, humidity is better, growth is larger overall, and they're just gonna go a couple weeks longer than the last grow. A fair trade AFAIAC.
The Mutant Weirdo LSD-25 girl is... worth keeping her alive? He leaves are still clawed, which is obviously genetic at this point, and her overall color is extremely pale. I'd almost say it's got some sort of albinism going on. As a result of her more pale growth, she seems to be reaching much, much closer to the light to get flowered up. There's an extra pic, side view, to show off her weirdness. She's monstrously large and stretchy, but she's flowering and looking good overall, so I'm glad I didn't pull her when she started looking weird.
@CrookedyNook, It must be a weirdo mutant freak pheno thing. I mean it's growing fine, but man... Cupped wrinkly leaves that early on made me think I was constantly over watering her, which, in coco wasn't really possible.
@CRiSPrGrow, It's the most boringest answer ever :-D.
Lots of light, Maxigro, Maxibloom, Mammoth P near the end (Home brewed). PH usually at around 5.9.
Just trust your nutes, don't get fancy, (Maxi series is a pretty cheap and simple powder) and, in the case of coco, water with feed once a day, every day. This grow has had a water feed ONCE, at day 75. Nutes every time. See a minor deficiency or burn on the tips? Watch it, but don't do anything unless it gets worse over several days.
A decent amount of airflow. (But not blowing everything around.
Nutes are mixed in a 15 gallon barrel with a wood wine mixing paddle. 9-10tsp of nutes for 15 gallons water. So a 2/3 mix rather than a full dose.
Train 'em, (I do actual LST, no topping) do slow defoliation, (Mostly at the bottom, but also to make room between colas once pompoms come on strong.) Defoliation should be aggressive at the bottom of the plant, but not all at once. By the end of the grow, they are *Almost* lolipopped, but not really.
Keep pests out.
That is literally all I do, apart from keeping the room clean every day.
Hey there!
