I am noticing some slight yellowing in the leaves above the Cotyledons. I believe this might be due to under-feeding (N-deficiency). The 350ppm (0.7EC) is based on tap water (175 ppm), so only about half of the PPM given is the actual nutrient solution. I do see some slight fluctuations in the PPMs day-to-day, but usually no more than 15-30ppm (~5-10%) in either direction, and not predictably so (swings can go in either direction, but not dropping below 340). Roots are bright white, but have only just started being submerged in the solution. Her sister (Dinafem Sour Diesel Auto) does show some root discoloration, but only on the area of the roots that is actually submerged in the solution.

She is growing well, though not as quickly as her sister (Dinafem Sour Diesel Auto). Amnesia XXL Auto has a grow term of about 4 additional weeks over the Sour D, so this is to be expected (in my opinion). The pH has been significantly lowered compared to her previous week (5.6 vs 6.0), and her feeding has also been increased (615 vs 350 ppm including 175 base tap water). Hopefully this will help her bounce back from her yellowing leaf issue. Any questions or comments, feel free to drop a line, and, as always, Happy Growing!

Today is day 24 from seed germination, but I'll call it an even week 3. I am feeding her 575ppm nutes holding a steady pH of 5.9. She is greening up a lot from her underfeeding experience, but altogether she is doing quite well. At her next res change I'll be upping the Pro-TeKt and adding some Mag-Pro and Dyna-Zyme as per the feeding schedule. Considering adding a bit of some Mammoth P I have lying around, though I might just save that for flowering. 10/26 Update: Added another picture of her growth and roots to document her progress. Roots are growing quite rapidly and she is drinking her nutes steadily, but not seeing a huge dip or swing in her ppm readings. Next res change will be later today. Current ppm of new nutes is 740 (TAP + 570ppm) Not sure how far down I will water it. It definitely has a bit more Foliage-Pro, but most of the additional PPMs come from the added Dyna-Zyme and Mag-Pro. I don't expect a burn since it's only 570ppm of nutes, 1.14ec, and Dyna-Gro suggests around 845 PLUS the Tap value. I might dial it back to 1ec + Tap (670ppm total, Tap is 170ppm) since the current reading is approximately .8ec + Tap. I also dropped the lights to around 16" since, according to Mars Hydro, the PAR values for that distance should be right around 400-450. I do have a second Mars Hydro SP150 that will also be added once these start bushing out. The added light should allow me to evenly cover the 3'x3' ScrOG perfectly at 12-16" during flower. I received these lights during the last two weeks of my last run and this will be the first time seeing how they run compared to my old light (Viparspectra 600w). The new lights pull almost to the watt the same as my old light, but put out about 4x more PAR with much better distribution than the old Viparspectra, in addition to being full-spectrum QB led panels, AND running 10+ degrees cooler (Fahrenheit), WITH legit Meanwell drivers.

10/28 - Pushing this update three days early since much has changed. Did a solution change earlier today to the new mix (as noted) which settled in about 740ppm (570ppm nutrients, 1.14ec + tap). After approximately eight hours (including a dark cycle), she registered 720ppm, but we will see how she swings over the next few days. The other lady in the video was given the same nutrient solution at the same time and is now showing some dark buildup on her roots that this Amnesia XXL Auto doesn't have. Her growth has been fantastic so far and she is responding well to the nutrients. I am excited to see how this goes considering this is my first DWC run and first run with Dyna Gro. Any comments, questions, observations, or concerns are always welcome. Happy Growing! Edit: 10/29 - Added 2ml/gal Botanicare Hydroguard as a preventative for any potential root issues. Edit: 10/31 - Removed two large fan leaves that were actively shading new growth nodes. PPMs have slowly climbed up to 750. Lowered to 700 with pH'ed water. Added second Mars Hydro SP150 and raised to 18" above canopy.

11/3 - Today was the first day of week 5 and also the first day I could see a visibly measurable decrease in her water level between check-ins (~12 hours apart). As a result of her drinking so much water in such a short time, the ppms shot up to almost 800. I used straight tap (7.5 pH, 170ppm) to adjust since her pH was also measuring 5.3. I adjusted her with this method until she registered 5.6pH and 670ppm (1.0ec + tap, 500ppm of nutrients). I would prefer for her pH to be a bit higher (5.8, ideally), but I will settle with this for now since the water is back to just touching the basket. Over the last couple days I've been adjusting her LST to help her bush up as much as possible. I can already see the heavy Sativa influence in her compared to her sister in the tent. I can't wait to see what she will throw at me. 11/4 - I wasn't even planning on doing an update today, but I want to note a few changes. Her root bundle is over a foot long and getting more wound up every day. I removed her LST ties in order to take advantage of the ScrOG screen apparatus (see notes below). After lights came back on, she measured 650ppm and had another notable drop in water level. Currently, I am preparing another nutrient solution that closely matches what she is feeding on now. I will be upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket. I will be aiming for 1ec of nutrients/additives (500ppm + Tap on my meter, Hanna Primo .5 conversion). Tap measured 180ppm, so target ppm would be 680. Later that same day... So I finished upgrading her to a 5 gallon bucket before I actually got done writing the update. Added one photo showing new 5 gallon setup. Solo ScrOG test mk1 - In an attempt to do a ScrOG, but maintain control over each bucket, while still having relatively easy access to each reservoir, I decided to throw together this little contraption. I removed the lowest complete segment of a tomato cage, leaving a short "tail" beyond the lower ring to act as a peg to insert into corresponding holes in the lid. The lower ring is 10" in diameter and the upper is approximately 12" in diameter. Each ring is 11" apart. I would prefer to have a shorter segment, but I haven't worked out exactly how to do this yet. I would prefer to set the screen height at around 6" above the bucket instead of 11". This will have to suffice for the time being while I let my latent conscious work out a solution or one is provided by the community. Above each cage will sit a coated wire fence with grids measuring ~2"x3", as shown in the above picture. 11/5 - Uploaded short video showing Solo ScrOG Apparatus in place. Screen height currently set to 6". Thanks for stopping by my garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

11/10 - Over this last week the ladies have consumed a significant amount of nutrients in addition to the water they drank. After 4-5 days ppms measured 580 and pH 6.7. Added full strength nutes to top off (not half-strength like normal). This brought the res to 715ppm and 6.2pH. Removed a couple older fan leaves that weren't getting good light. Plant is maintaining 6" height with wire ScrOG. She has started to show her bud sites and I expect a fairly healthy stretch due to her ~90+ day timeline. This should allow plenty of tucking under the ScrOG to allow light to the inner bud-sites and increase overall yield vs previous grows. As always, feel free to hit me up with any comments or questions about my grow. Happy Growing!

Hey, everyone. Sorry for the late update, but I didn't get my regular time to update my journals this week, so updates are coming sporadically. Anyways, as far as this lady is concerned, she couldn't be happier. She is just starting to really put off some buds and start her stretch. I'm not sure how long she will stretch for, but I've got my eye on the lights, to keep them in optimal range. Also, in preparation for the stretch, I went ahead and bumped her up to 75% strength nutes (with 100% secondary additives, like Pro-TeKt and Dyna-Zyme) which puts her right around 900ppm and 5.9pH. This Amnesia XXL Auto has a heavy haze lineage and I can already smell it in her. I'm excited to see what this lady will yield since she is really starting to stack up during the start of the stretch. 11/22 - Uploaded new canopy shots (48 hours after bumping ppms). Thanks for stopping by the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

11/23 - Update 1 day early. Will make measurements and update accordingly tomorrow, as usual. I did a top off at 75% strength nutes. She is drinking 1.5 gallons per week (approximately). Trying to hold her ~850ppm @ 5.9pH. Her canopy is nice and open and bud-sites are stacking nicely. I'm hoping for some additional stretch over the next 7-10 days to give me an increased yield. Looking forward to seeing what pheno I ended up with. 11/24 - Updated stats. 850ppm, 9" above screen (so 15" total). Measured pH of 5.3, added 1ml GH pH UP to adjust; will check again later. Light adjusted for optimal canopy between both plants. I might end up re-orienting the lights in the other direction. The distance from the flowers varies between 12"-16" because some of them are stretching up more than others. I still think it only has a slight aroma, but she still has a ways to go. If she goes the full 13 weeks (~90 days), then harvest would be on 29 Dec (Happy Birthday!). Later on 11/24 - Uploaded videos of buds and roots. 11/28 - Went ahead and supercropped/HST the tallest stalk. Will see how she responds after lights come back on to see if I want to do the same to the other tall stems to even the canopy. Thanks for stopping by the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

12/1 - Well, here we are. December 1st, start of week 9. She is absolutely loaded with buds and I just can't wait to see how they swell and ripen over the coming weeks. I switched over from Early-Bloom to Mid-Bloom nutes (DynaGro Week 5 Flower, Recirculating). This is the first week with Grow (FoliagePro) cut out completely. I still fed her at a 75% concentration of Bloom and of MagPro, but full strength of DynaZyme, ProTekt, and Hydroguard (At the amounts notated). This gives her a ppm right at 1000 (2.0ec), though she will likely go +/- 50-100ppm. This week the plan is to top off with pH'd water instead of topping off with nutes due to the higher EC, though target is to keep her between 800-1000ppm (1.6-2.0ec). 12/5 - Uploaded video from 12/4 Thanks again for stopping by the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

12/8 - Today is the start of week 10. I actually changed the nutes on this girl yesterday (12/7) because I had some extra time. I tapered her down to 60% strength (down from 75% during the previous week) due to some pH drifting issues. I removed a few errant leaves, but for the most part haven't messed with her much over the last week. She is starting to pack on the trichomes and hopefully will be bulking up over the next week or two before ripening. Thanks for stopping by the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

12/16 - Howdy there, growers. Here we are at the start of week 11 for this lady. Day 77 from seed. She still have a little ways to go, but she is coming along quite nicely. Buds are stacked and rock hard and getting frostier by the day. I'm trying not to rush this one. I removed the Pro-TeKt from her regimen as she isn't growing anymore. I switched her feed over to ~1.0ec (500ppm) to taper her down during her last two weeks. I am also going to taper the lighting schedule down as we approach chop on her once her sister is no longer in the tent. Thanks for checking out the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

12/22 - Today is the start of week 12 from seed. Day 83. She has been ripening quite well over the last week. Buds are rock hard and so unbelievably sticky. The photos most certainly don't do her justice. She is easily the best bud I've ever grown, up to this point. Over the last few days I have been trimming water/fan leaves whenever I have been in the tent checking on her and the others. This evening I finally put her down to flush. 10ml/gal Florakleen for 72 hours before chop. I have also been transitioning the light cycle in the tent towards 12/12 for my photo ladies in there, so she has been receiving 1 hr less light each day since last Wednesday (12/18) and will be on 13/11 on her chop date (12/25). Not sure what yield will be for this "XXL" variety, but I'm hoping for 3-4oz once dried. Thanks for checking out the garden, and, as always, Happy Growing!

12/23 - Harvest! I spent just shy of 5 hours trimming this lady. She is classed as an "XXL" variety and it would certainly seem so! I'm hoping to set yet a new personal record with this harvest, but I won't know till she has fully dried. She ended up as 628g wet and 178g of frosty trim for hash later. To be clear, because the harvest page doesn't reflect it properly, she was ScrOGed into an 18"x18" footprint (1/4 of a 3'x3' tent). Also, the whole tent is lit with 2x Mars Hydro SP150. Each one is 140w at the wall and has a flowering footprint of 18"x36". Since I used two of these lights for two flowering plants, regardless of footprint, I will be giving my GPW figure here in the comments based on usage of 140w. (2 plants/2 lights = 1 light/plant) I will update further as drying progresses. 12/26 - Plants dried somewhat quicker than desired due to lower RH (45%). All told, 126g dry weight not counting any trim. 126g/140w = 0.9GPW. One thing that is very noticeable as it dries is the emergence of a specific citrus/pine scent that is closest to Mango as I can describe. The Herbal and Peppery aspects seem to die down as the Mango gets much stronger with dry, and I'm hoping even more so with a good, proper cure. Smoke report to come within the next 2 weeks.
the end.
