So I have put 5 C.O.P seeds in a wet kitchen towel and placed in an old Chinese food tub from the takeaway and put in a shoe box in the boiler room for heat.. I have a 2x1x2m grow tent, I have 3 200w LED lights of medium quality, I have a small intake fan and a 6 inch outake fan with rhino filter. I have 2 little monkey fans for air circulation, my pots are 25 litre fabric pots, I'm going to be using Canna Terra nutrients as and when they need.
Sooo my seeds popped 5/5 success rate! I put them in a very low nutrient soil called Atami ATA bi grow mix in 3 or 5l pots with a splash of warm water.
I have an eco heater in the tent @120watts plugged into a heat and cool thermostat which keeps levels within 1° of 28°..
I have been watering these just a splash from a drinking cup each.. they are all under one 200w LED currently.
Soo week 3.. week 2 above soil.. the COP is looking really healthy and the plants look quite sturdy allready.. really impressed with the genetics.. I'm still only feeding water.. I've now added two 20w clip fans for air circulation and to prevent heat build up.
I am going to transplant them into 15l pots at the end of week 4 with a nutrient rich soil.
So plants are looking really healthy technically week 3 above soil.. I mist them with water twice a day for humidity and water once a day.. still no feed, I am going to switch the pots tomorrow as the roots are starting to poke out the bottoms of these pots.. they will go into 15l fabric pots with some nutrient rich soil.. then after a week or so I am going to start bottom feeding by pouring the water into the pot saucers and letting the roots soak it up from the bottom. I will then add another light as the plants will be quite spread out.
Plants are finally in the new pots in the high nute soil, the ends of a couple of the leafs have gone yellow as to be expected so I will not feed for a while and see how they get on next week.. I have done quite alot of leaf tucking this week, and I am still misting them once a day.. and watering from the top till next week then the bottom feeding will begin!!
So plants are looking really nice although I'm having problems with humidity, it is very high and the walls were the tent is have got mould on them.. I am going to buy a good de humidifier this week to combat the problem, I am also going to switch to flower at the end of this week, add another light and more co2 at the same time. I will probably start with a bit of nutrients aswell.
Soo first day of 12/12 today, plants are doing really well.. I have fed them once with a solution that a friend has made as the leaves were starting to turn yellow and I assumed this was lack of nutrients as I've not fed anything other than what was in the soil to begin with. and they seem to have liked it!! I feed them water every night I pour it straight into the pot suacer instead of the soil.. I have added an extra light but the flower mode has broken on it so might have to be replaced.. I have also added an dehumidifier that also has a carbon filter inside! So that has come in handy.
So this week I haven't done much in terms of training, I've just been watering with just water.. I have added some another couple of co2 bags and a final light just to get full coverage..., My de humidifier is working a treat.. probably will feed again tomorrow..
Soo there has been a lot of stretch since last update.. bud sites are mainly quite close so I'm expecting some pretty impressive buds out of both the COP and the gorilla ice cream, I have hardly fed the COP at all it's needed very little food throughout and the colour of the leaves are really healthy looking.. a couple of the stems need supporting so will be tying the up pretty soon..
Soo plants are really tall now.. deffo gonna get a scrog net for the whole tent next to get more main colas and also to get the height down... They smell amazing and the leafs are a really nice green colour.. bud sites on the main cola and a few side ones are really nice and tight so I'm hoping for some big juicy buds.. crystals are also starting to form..
So had a reet little photo shoot today.. loving these plants the buds are gonna be something special.. this plant does NOT like a lot of feed.. I have burned some of the leaves pretty badly by adding slightly too much nutes.. how ever it doesn't seem to have stunted bud swell much.. had to tie a couple of side branches up as buds be pretty dense and heavy allready.. cannot wait to crop. Smells amazing.
So the smell is really week on this strain as of yet, the gorilla ice cream grow is over powering.. hopefully the COP will pull through in the next couple of weeks.. other than that nice crystal formation and buds look really dense.
These buds are something else so dense rock hard nugs even below the canopy the smallest of buds are like pebbles rock hard.. only down side is the smell is just not there at all at the minute? Hopefully when i crop and cure it will come through... other than that i would definetly grow again..great plants and buds look amazing
