Mostly this week was waiting for it to take root and actually sprout up. It has a very strong taproot started in rock wool and then moved to a gallon of FoxFarm ocean forest.

Since I originally started with two seeds and the other didn’t take I had planted a new one and it’s just now coming up. It is also GDP and I will be raising it alongside the other and recording it on the same journal. It will however still be about 1-2 weeks behind the other. The first one will just have to have 2 weeks extra Veg. Plant A has continued its steady growth and is working on it’s 3rd node. After it’s more devolved I’ll remove the beginning of the 4th node and it’s seed/sapling leaves. Plant B like I said just sprouted up with some slightly yellow seed leaves but I’m sure it’s got potential.

Outgrew the little box I had it in so it’s time to get a tent and a good sized grow light instead of just this led grow bulb I’m running right now. It’s at 9inches or so I just eyeballed it and it’ll be less after I tip or top it tonight. Advice welcome if anyone sees this and wants to way in. I’m worried about removing too much foliage by topping so I lean towards tipping but I’ve seen plenty of plants take a huge defoliation and trim job and comeback stronger because of it.

Grow Questions

I guess my only question right now is why does my plant have a set of 1, 3, 5 and 4??? They devoloped on the third node up after the set of three fingered leaves and before the five. I’ll include a photo is it normal or is it weird?

Cannabis may have foliar mutations. Some of these mutations are initiated by breeders to better camouflage the plant and make it less identifiable as marijuana. Other times, mutations are a minor flaw inherent in some varieties. Apart from the dull-looking sets of leaves that appear on young plants, leaf mutations with the same number of pairs of leaflets and hideous deformities are very rare. Excessive mutations are indicative of poor genetics and poor breeding practices. May the force be with you 💪

Well the new shoots have taken off and im maybe a few days away from topping again when they have some more nodes on there. Tell me what you guys think about burying it up the stalk. I’m not sure if it would be better practice to center the rootmass or even plant it level with the new soil to encourage root growth or bury it deeper and assume with a few light waterings they’ll make use of the space above them? I’m leaning towards centering it for my height issue but let me know if it’s beeter for root development to not bury so deep.

Lost track of how many weeks it’s been I’ll update it later. Literally just waiting for a bigger light she seems healthy enough right now. shows no signs of nutrient deficiency or burns. She’s drinks up what I give her no problems either too thirsty or over water. She just doesn’t grow fast at all, I’m really glad it’s being as patient as I am. Was hoping my other lights would sell I tried using the hps light but I don’t have a 220v wall outlet. And it’s the holidays so after holiday shopping for the family and friends it’s not really in the immediate future. But thank Mrs. Larimar for the advice she is being patient
