1. Week 1 of this year's fall photo grow. Grow will be under 240w QB. I'll be using 3g canvas pots filled with a 50/50 mixture of Ocean Forest and Happy Frog. 2. I'm thankful to Remo Nutrients for providing their Supercharged Kit for this grow. This will be the first time using their line. I've heard and seen good things. 3. Currently I am using a 20% solution strength of Grow, Micro, MagniCal, VeloKelp, and Nature's Candy primarily as a foliar feed. I foliar feed in the morning prior to the lights going on for the day. I'll come back several times a day to mist them with fresh water. 4. I will begin using the nutrient schedule as soon as GSC grows her first set of true leaves. 5. I plan on topping her at the 5th node. At node 3, I will prune nodes 1-2. I don't plan on mainlining this grow, but I will spread out the bud stalks so they can be placed in netting. I figure this will be less work than mainlining. The screen will also give added support.

1. GSC outgrew her solo cup on Tuesday, and was transplanted to her final home, a 3g smart sack. She appeared small, but her root system was already trying to grow through the drainage holes. 2. I began soil feeding 2Q Filtered Water with an 80% strength nutrient feed. I've done this every other day so far, but I think I will stretch that out to every 2nd day, or maybe 3rd. I'll just keep checking the soil and observing her growth. 3. Growth has started to pick up since the 1st set of true leaves have fully formed. I expect a new node every day or so in the near future.

1. Growth has exploded in the last week. GSC is finished with her 3rd node and working on her 4th node. I expecting growth to pick up even more in the next few weeks. 2. I pruned the 1st node on Wednesday. This gave me some room at the base of the plant. Also that primary node seems to be the least developed over time. I'd rather give the bud sites higher in the canopy more energy. 3. I still plan on topping her at the 5th node then spreading out the canopy so I can use my SCRoG netting. 4. Currently I'm watering/feeding 2l of Filtered water+5mg/g of Remo's recommended Veg. Nutes. So far I water every 2nd day, but that will probably increase as soon as the root system is more developed. 5. I will be increasing the amount of veg. nutes each week by 1ml/g until she is being fed 8ml/g. I am still foliar feeding every morning with a 20% solution of Veg. Nutes. I also mist her several times a day.

1. GSC went through a lot of changes this week. She was topped at the 5th node last Saturday. 2. LST was started on nodes 3-4. I'm going to LST all of the nodes into a Compass Rose pattern. However, I'll leave the topped nodes alone and weave them through the SCRoG net. 3. Fan leaves from nodes 2-4 were removed to allow light penetration. 4. I will continue LST until nodes 2-3 are spread out to the side of the canvas pot. Then I'll let them grow vertically. I'm trying to clear out the middle of the canopy to allow some of the interior budsites to develop. 5. I will install the SCRoG net this weekend. I won't LST the top 2 buds, but I will weave them through the netting until some of the lower nodes get closer to the net. I'm figuring flipping at 6 weeks will be about right. 6. Nutrients were increased to 6ml/g. Next feeding cycle will be 7ml/g. Finally, I'll max at 8ml/g. I should get 1-2 solid feedings at max concentration before flipping to flower.

1. GSC is doing just fine. Nodes 2-3 are all finished with their LST. They are all growing vertically. I'm still using LST on nodes 4-5 to spread out the canopy and allow the lower nodes to catch up. This has the added benefit of opening up the middle of the canopy and allowing some of the interior bud sites the chance to develop. 2. I have the netting set up, but I'm not sure if I'm going to use it. First of all, the canopy is pretty well spread out due to topping and training. Secondly, If I want to use the netting I'll need to do a longer veg. time. I don't mind, but I could possibly out grow the pot before she is done flowering. Finally, the other plant in the tent is 4 inches shorter. I'd have to put a box underneath the shorter plant to even out the height. I still have 1 more week before I plan on flipping the tent. I'll just keep an eye on things. The netting won't hurt anything. 3. I've increased feeding strength to 7ml/g. I'll keep it at that for this round of watering/feeding then kick it up to 8ml/g. That will be the max solution strength for veg.

1. I've created a nice even canopy and it is currently about 4 inches from the netting. I'll give her a 24hr. dark period later this week then flip her to 12/12 light schedule. 2. I'm hoping to keep the even canopy by weaving the taller stalks through the netting, allowing the lower bud sites to take up the fill in the open space. I'll be using the "stretch" to do all of my weaving. 3. GSC was fed at the max. rate of veg. nutes for this round of feeding. I'll continue to use full strength veg. nutes until I start to see evidence of flowering. I'm thinking that veg. nutes will be a good idea to use during the "stretch". 4. I've been doing selective defoliation and pruning of shaded fan leaves and underdeveloped, lower bud sites. I'll do a major defoliation/pruning once the stretch has finished.

1. GSC went into dark mode from Saturday night to Monday morning then I flipped the lights to 12/12. 2. She has stretched about 4" since Monday. There are also pre-flowering pistils forming at the nodes. 3. I'm weaving the tallest bud stalks through the net to account for the stretch. I hope to fill most of the SCroG by the time she is done stretching. There are a ton of budsites that are just below the netting. 4. GSC continues to receive full strength veg. nutes. My thinking is that the veg. nutes will help with the rapid growth during stretch. I'll switch to flowering nutes as soon as true flowers start to appear.

1. We are officially in flower. 2. She has stretched quite a bit since I flipped her to flower about 10 days ago. Right now there are 10 major bud sites and a half dozen smaller bud sites that are sitting at the canopy. 3. I've done a little cleaning up of the under canopy. I'm going to give her another week to get her flower on, then I'm going to really clear everything out so she can focus on the buds at the canopy. 4. I switched to flowering nutes this week. Basically I stopped using Grow and started using Bloom and Astro Flower. Otherwise the rest is the same. I'll be increasing the strength in the next few weeks up to 10ml/g. This nutrient line cuts off feeding at 8 weeks. I'll work out a schedule to see how that works out.

1. GSC is hopefully done stretching. I trained her, using the netting, until buds formed. Now I'm just letting her do her thing. 2. I spent some time defoliating the under canopy this week. I still have more to do, but I don't want to stress her out too much. 3. There is no change in my feeding schedule. She is fed/watered about every other day. I check the soil prior to watering so I don't over-water at this stage. I will increase the strength of her flowering nutes in about 2 weeks based on the instructions from Remo. 4. I'm really liking this Seedsman strain! It's been a very robust, dependable plant.

1. GSC has stopped any vertical stretch. Now she is just focused on filling up those bud stalks. I have a solid 8 colas and another 5 secondary colas that are either to the side, or just beneath the main canopy. There are also a dozen or more minor colas that are hovering around the trellising. 2. I'm continuing to feed 2l every other day@8ml/g of flowering nutes. I'll increase the concentration to 10ml/g next week when she is midway through flowering. I'm anticipating another 5 weeks total.

1. GSC is putting on the weight. Buds are really starting to grow and swell. Smell is picking up in the tent. Anytime I touch her, she gives off a beautiful aroma. 2. I've increased the flowering nutes to 10ml/g. I will continue this strength for the next 4 feeding cycles. A cycle is currently taking 6 days. After that its just plain water for the next 2 watering cycles. I'll stop using Cal-Mag after the 2nd watering cycle. I've tried to clean up the under canopy as much as possible, but since this is my 1st real SCroG grow, I really like the process that I'm starting to develop with my photos.

1. GSC is maturing nicely. Buds are filling in along the stalks, the buds are starting to take a more mature shape, and the pistils are starting to turn red and curling up into the buds. Trichomes are not really an issue yet. 2. This was the last week of full strength feeding. Next round of feeding, I will be removing Cal-Mag as per Remo's feeding schedule. Seems counter-intuitive, considering the importance of Cal-Mag in the grow, but so far Remo has treated me right. 3. I'm expecting another 2 weeks of feeding. Then another 1-2 weeks of water only. I like the idea of not flushing to run-off. I think this will be gentler on the plants and allow them to finish cleaner.

1. GSC is nearing the finish line. I've switched to late flowering nutes. I'm removing Cal-Mag and leaving the rest of the nutrients at their current levels. I'll continue that feeding schedule for the next 2 watering cycles. Currently I'm watering/feeding every other day@2 liters. 2. At the end of the 2nd watering/feeding cycle, I'll determine whether I should start the final stage, which is just filtered water for 2 watering cycles, or continue feeding for another cycle. 3. GSC is showing marked changes in appearance that leads me to believe she is getting close. Most importantly, I'm seeing some cloudy trichomes. Secondly, buds are starting to bulk up as opposed to stacking. Pistils are turning red and retreating to the buds, and calyxes are starting to shrivel as there is no pollen to be had! 4. I'm thinking she should be ready in about 3 weeks.

1. This grow is wrapping up nicely. The SCroG did its thing and I have a forest of rock hard buds. Trichomes have been uneventful. Buds are really getting frosty, and I'm seeing a little bit of fade. I'm looking at about 3 weeks. 2. I will give her one last feeding before starting to get her ready for harvest. This nutrient line has a philosophy of a slow and easy flushing. I'll be watering normally for the next 2 watering cycles. They believe its better for the plant. The other school of thought is to shock the plant in its final days to bring out resins and increase potency. I'm going to go the gentle approach.

1. We are nearing the end of this grow. Plant is maturing and getting ready for harvest. Trichomes are cloudy, pistils have basically died and receded to the buds. Buds are swelling and gaining weight. 2. I stopped feeding this week. Her last feeding was last Saturday. I will just use filtered water until harvest. I'm expecting harvest in about 2 weeks.

1. This is about it for GSC. She received her final watering yesterday. 2. She is finishing up nicely. Since she has had only water for the last week or so, she is fading nicely. Trichomes are all milky. I can see a few ambers here and there. 3. I'll let her do her thing for another few days then turn off the lights for 48hrs. I should be harvesting by Wednesday. I'll wait and post a harvest report the the following week though.

This was my first true SCroG grow. I've practiced some manlining in the past but I never included the netting. It made a world of difference during flowering. AT the very least it was perfect for support. However, the real benefit was being able to open up the canopy. This method almost doubled my yield! I flipped her to flower then used the netting to weave the "stretch" and spread out the canopy. I ended up with 8-10 primary bud stalks. I don't think I'll grow my photos any other way from now on.
