Going from 80x80cm crowded tent into 150cm x 150cm tent for flowering. Scrogging the girls when they get into the big tent. Never ran girls in this big pots before.
Plants are slowing down the stretch, soon to be at max height. Raised the nutes a little this week. Added Secret Jardin oscillating Monkey fans into the tent. Keep that air moving. Big defoliation at day 21.
Added Pk13/14 with low dose to the mix. Everything rolling good, pretty strong smell when I open up the tent door. 4th qb panel added to the tent, now running at 960w total light power.
Dropped the PK13/14 and dialed the A+B down a little. Peppermint Kush looking to be ready way before others. Added a second dehumidifier to my grow room since its raining a lot outside. Day 42 second big defoliation to the tent. Starting to reduce my nutes this next week.
Dialing down the nutes, should have done the PK13/14 one week earlier, still all good no worries. I did improve the tents intake by replacing the intake sleeve with a longer one, now pulling air from the second room, making the temps go down a bit. Also noticed some nugs bleaching in the middle of the tent, raised the lights up to 50cm to prevent this problem going further.
Day 48 dropping Coco A+B to 1ml/L.
Dropped Canna Coco A+B out of the mix, added RAW Cane Molasses to boost up the sugars. Peppermint Kush looks pretty ready already, starting to look at the trichomes soon.
11.11 Gave the plants a major flush, ~60L of water thru the pots to flush out some left over salts from the pots. Runoff EC did drop bigtime so gonna do this once more after a few days. Peppermint Kush starts to fade out by itself, others need some days to kick it into fall mode.
Minor setback, found two Special Queen main nugs with one twisted leaf each nug, carefully removed leaf to notice its budrot inside the nugs. Zipbag over the nugs, snip, toss rubber gloves, clean scissors, remove the sealed nugs out of the household. Did a thorough search across all the rest of the nugs but didn't notice anything implying the problem would have spread. Still taking my daily precautions looking thru the tent. These plants have maybe a week max to live, hoping to reach the finish line without much more trouble *knocks wood*. Nugs that I tossed away did weight 50g's together (wet weight) so the loss wasn't a huge one, gotta hope for no more botrytis!
Running only water from now on. No additives.
Causes for the budrot to show up during this run:
-Bad airflow below the fan, multiple nugs trying to fall on each other (see picture)
-High RH in late flower. My RuuviTag sensors tell me that RH has spiked 3 days ago when I first did the big flush reaching 63% max for couple hours then setting back to 60%
-Excessive flushing during late flower
16.11 Finally got my phone back, photo quality did improve massively! Took some pics all across the tent, enjoy :)
18.11 Just checked the trichomes on Peppermint kush, looks like its coming down at day 64!
19.11 Day 64, harvested Peppermint Kush which is now drying in a 2x4 drying tent. Giving the rest of the plants the all the time that they need to be ready and then chop.
21.11 Day 66, drying tent is below 23C at all times, RH goes from 43-53%.
Fastest plant of the tent, harvested at F64 from 12/12 flip. Grows very tight packed nugs, really cleaning the lowers help with this one. Likes topping.
This strain catched some botrytis during the grow, not the best resistance for diseases. Taste is super lemony, with mixed oil, really liking the taste, even tho its still a bit harsh for the throat.
Grows the same way as my old Gorilla glue plants, tight solid nugs. Proper bottoms cleaning is needed with this one. High is very potent with this strain, goes straight into your eyes and keeps you elevated for a long time.
Easy to grow, should clean up the bottoms better to gain bigger nugs, ended up with a bunch of larf from this plant. Great yield still, best one out of the tent.
Taste wise the best plant ive had in a long while. Waiting for the taste to really show up after some curing, really liking this one! Doesnt branch out great at all, LST would be my choice of training. Didnt like topping.
@IDOSWED,
Haha thanks dude! There is always room for improvements, but im glad how well the scrog turned out! Way less work compared to just LST that's for sure!
@EZgrower, Welcome aboard, yeah there is quite some nugs in there, cant say anything about the harvest yet, still got weeks to come ;) Hoping for the best of course. Im a bong dude, cheers to you!
