Two days late with this entry, so this post is referring to 20/11/19. The UK Cheesy Express has started the initial phases of flowering, and the Jack Horror Auto's have suddenly had a growth spurt. I am now changing the water every day, and the entire tank is full of thick, (and quite heavy in comparison to the plant) roots. I am doing my best to LST the plant still, though only so much can be done. Next I will probably start to SCROG it - at least the one that hasn't started flowering! Dropped the nutrients a bit this week. I raised the light a bit for the first time. The plants are looking very happy with just 45W of power. As mentioned earlier, however, the LUX is close to 40,000 when an inch from the canopy.

@MagooYFZ, It's doing amazingly well so far. Compared to my last soil grow in a grow tent, under 350W LED with the whole filter/fan setup, it is going very well, and the plants are looking much more healthy!

set lights on for 16hrs less time means the plant can process the light better.
With autos in small places, itโs either high intensity for short periods or lower intensity for longer. Iโve grown buds in tiny cupboards in the past.GL๐๐ผ

As you are not getting much light in the lower canopy have you thought about removing the lower 1/3 of both plant's?
This will free up some energy for the remaing plant and take of foliage that is sucking vital energy away from the plant's ๐ค
Just a thought my friend ๐

@HappyHippy, You are right that the energy production is generated via the leaves but if those leaves are not getting much light the productivity will be severely affected.
If those lowers are removed. The energy the plant was using on those stems which imo will not be productive can get diverted to the remaining plant ๐
You've got to be careful though. Don't take to much foliage away as you know thats the plants energy source, and if you don't take enough it won't see much difference ๐

@Humboldt_Seed_Organisation, Thanks for the suggestion! I am tempted to remove the lower 1/3 as you suggested, but (correct me if I'm wrong) does that really cause more energy to go to the top? Aren't leaves where the energy production occurs, so the more the better?
