Im using a coco/perlite mix and the nector for the gods simple organic nute line at 1/4 strength after the first week. Plants were started with tap water plain for the first week that I later found out was at a Ppm in the 400's. by week 2 water was switched to bottled R/O water. Temperature was also high for first week as I was just getting everything figured out.
The two survivors of the first weeks harsh environment. Now at a lot better temperature, PPM, and PH. Hoping for a good recovery. Light I'm using is a 1000w MH bulb with my ballast at 50%. Light is roughly 20 inches from plants and I haven't noticed any stretching upwards or any heat damage on the leaves. Should I turn my ballast up? Should I be using HPS right now? And also should I just call these plants a waste? All other fast buds dairies I've seen at week 2 and 3 have 4 times the leaf development. Week 3 pics tomorrow some time but not too much different from week 2.
3rd week of west coast og. Wondering if it would be better to just pull this one up. Also what is a good size smart pot for autos? Soon I will be starting another 3 plants.
I'm thinking it could also be that when I was using that horribly high Ppm water for the first week and watering them with it, the coco has held onto whichever made the water so potent, I'm thinking calcium, so the roots are still trying to get rid of all of that gunk in the coco. The 2 new ones I started are in the same pots as the 2 that died, and I didn't think to flush the coco out of that bad water. What do you think?
it all depends on the plant growth 0 7 days you want to be giving them between 50ml and 100ml then 100ml to 150ml for next couple of weeks building it up slowly as the plant gets older and needs more water
You couldn't have been any more accurate with that. I ended up taking up the Girl Scout cookies from this diary. It was at 3 weeks and still looked about the same as those pictures. When I dug it up the root was basically so small it was almost funny. I'm still learning a lot as I'm finding out!!! Thank you guys, and I'm considering starting up a totally new batch.
Yes, I had started 4 originally. These are the two survivers of the harsh conditions during the first week. I have started 2 more that will be in a separate diary and I'm hoping they won't follow same grow speed as the others. I'll post more pics now
Hey bro, Just wanted to let you know that your first pic in your second week of posts is a screenshot and has your location in the top n even possibly a lil photo of yourself in the bottom, this might be fine with you but in case you were unaware I just wanted to let you know. That aside, They're looking good so far! I grew the West Coast OG and she's a beauty. Good luck :)
