I'm very satisfied with ggs - a. Ggs - B it's still struggling and has shown signs of stunted growth its entire life cycle thus far. I'm not going to give up on it yet maybe it just needs to get past a certain stage then it will take off. Any advice is much appreciated thanks
@AsNoriu, such incredible advice. Thank you so much for spelling it out for me like that. I think if I'm able to I will try to bend some of these taller plants to expose all of these undersides
I also like how you explained the tucking. It makes sense to visualize a staircase you work with daily.
Thanks so much and happy holidays!
@btcywtsitw, i am a gardener for more than 40 years and i know plants, now i grow a bit of terapy for me, so my knowledge or terminalogy is medium i would say, but i read plants and i think i made all posible mistakes ;)) so i am ready kind of ;)
Here is what i do.
You can check my first diary.
When i have 4-5 nods and not too lanky plant i bent him hard, that way all branches become tops, i always have one leaf to cut, very rearly i manage to tuck it under new branches. All other leaves are constantly(daily) tucked under new developing branch for it to be exposed to lights, i always do it with sterile hands, always spray or water them them after training. Never have too intence light in veg, they dont need it and are fragile.
There is technique when you go with leaves like round staircase, in one direction one leaf, max top posible, all under him are deleted
You can twist stemps even to reposition leaf, there is many advanced moves, but tucking and expoising, beeing gentle but opening them brings great results even in untoped plant.
Dont forget, leaves cant touch soil or be in lairs, then they sweat and all problems starts, depending on nods positioning sometimes deleting is only way, i would not high stress plant till like week 6 or so, lst makes magic. So i try to keep all plant parts together ;)
Good luck !
@AsNoriu, Can I ask if you mean to tuck the big fan leaves? I'm very much so a nebie so I probably don't know better, but with my past grow, I trimmed larger fan leaves that seemed to be blocking light towards a potential flower site underneath. (I don't know all of the proper vocabulary). So I would actually trim the leaves to open ligh towards the flower sites.
Are you suggesting that I instead tuck the leave elsewhere rather than removing it for this same purpose? Makes sense.
Would put, like , but its sad ...
I want even such strong male, and i would harvest pollen, you can keep it in freezer easy, never did it myself, but got few beans from RealGorillaSeeds for that purpose, they said it will be strong males, keeping that for summer adventure.
But you made your mind, live and learn ..
There is video on youtube how to know male/female from size, form and striping of seed.
Waiting to check it out, when i will plant those not feminized seeds..
@btcywtsitw, thank You, but i quess we all want to stay incognito here ;)
I had already couple girls which i would love to have as motherplant, but i dont grow on such level and at least couple month a year i am out, so for me pollen would be only solution how to try to safe girls genetics, its important how strong and good male is, maybe thats why i felt your pain and added a bit of my sorrow ;)
You can buy pollen for a 100 quid or so, but to make yourself its always better, otherwise we wouldnt be growing ..
I want male journey, had only hermies from light leak and one bad batch of seeds, so like i said, i got present for male hunt and i will use those beans this summer.
Good luck in your grow, hope its first and last unwanted male in your garden !
@AsNoriu, I understand what you are saying. I contemplated keeping this for about an hour before I cut. But I would not have use for the pollen nor do I have intentions of breeding. However, if I run into any males in the future I will collect the pollen and store for you. I'm sorry my friend this was a beautiful plant indeed.
@Wicked_Stix, I'm definitely glad I caught it. There was lots of flour growth in the tent today and I noticed these buds looking different. The big sad but could have been worse.
Greetings!
Liking the germination equipment and usage of HEC with your Rooters :)
Wishing you a successful grow and a bountiful harvest!
Stay Blessed! 🙏👽
@Calveeno, thank you so much for the warm wishes. I really love the application of the HEC because it loves it during germination I figured it might as well love it during potting as well. In my opinion it does wonders as far as increasing are uptake to the roots and helping to prolong a slower feed throughout the time to the plant. I tried to keep the top layer of it moist and never let it dry out
