Sadly, this week might be the end of this grow. We had a water pipe break. Flooding in the house. Releasing mold and allergens in the air that are making me have to leave the home. Made worse by floor dryers. Post cancer, my immune system is still weak. I’m bringing in an environmental inspector. I need to find out if the plants are affected. Or, if they would have ill effects on me. 11/28 - I’m going to keep going for at least the experience. I’m not quitting. We will have anything harvested checked. Or, I’ll just dispose of it. I haven’t decided. I can’t find a clear answer on safety issues. Let’s see what happens!

How are your roots looking/feeling? My first dwc attempt my plants looked very small and unhappy and it ended up being a root infection. You can brew some hydro tea to populate beneficial bacteria to fight root zone pathogens. On that run 3 years ago I ended up pulling my plants out of the dwc, hit the roots with physan20 dunks and transplanted into coco coir. They were stunted but was able to get them to finish. Not saying you have to transplant, but it is an option if it doesnt seem to recover. I would try the hydro tea first if you can. You will need some beneficials like great white or similar (not sure if great white is the best but it's what I have) backstrap molasses, earthworm castings, nylon sock (cheap pantyhose works great) strong airpump, a bucket, airstone(s). Make sure to use RO water or water that has been dechlorinated. I do 4 gal ro water, 6 tbsp of molasses, 2 scoops of great white, 1.5 to 2 cups of the EWC in the nylon sock and brew for 36 to 48 hours. I suspend the sock directly above my airstones. You should end up with a mushroomy slightly sweet smelling product. If it smells like decay or moist soil, it's gone bad. I add it at 20:1 ratio 20 parts nute solution 1 part tea. You must use it within 24 hours of brewing or you can store it for a few more days in the fridge. I use it on all of my plants in coco coir, dutch buckets, kratky tubs, and soil. Hydro can be a testy B but once you figure it out, the speed and yields are worth it.

@Ga4rd2en0er, The pic above is one plant. Over 10 days. Top left, top right, bottom left then bottom right. I took her fan leaves off. So, she looks smaller. I’ll add a picture of the roots. I think they’re okay. Thank you so much for the information on the tea. I’ll have to start looking for what’s needed.
