Still just letting them rock. I noticed a strange mutation in a couple plants where the fan leaves have assymetrical different sized fingers.

Considering taking clones in a few weeks. Waiting for ph meter to get here. There's a little bit of burning in the older fan leaves. Possibly pottassium excess? The potash i used this round was pretty strong.

Hello outdoormaster, your girls are looking great. I cant see it on the picture but i understand your bottom leaves are yellowing up and rust spots. From what i can see you do a little lst. I recommend to open her up more and make sure there is enough airflow going through your plant and also the light reaches to the bottom leaves. Also what kind of nutrient are you using. I strongly advice to ph balance your feeding water around 6.5 for veg and more around 6 to 6.2 in flower. Hope this was an helpfull answer. Keep on growing my friend. Peace 👍

So I normaly use this stuff called sunshine mix #4 in my super soil mix but i picked up this hp pro mix instead because it was all the local garden supply had. Long story short i didnt buy any perlite or aeration for the mix and now im suffering from it because I started with 5 gallon pots and cant really transplant them again. Gonna try out the stonington blend by Coast Of Maine next time

I was tying down the main top of my best plant when i heard a SNAP and my top was holding on by a mere sliver. Taped it back together and its doing ok. After that ive been hesistant to open her up much more but im gonna give it a go today .Been watering solely with compost tea and they seem to love it. (No surprise). Got a ph meter and realized my ph was way off from the start. All in all things are looking much better. Also been tucking fan leaves daily.

Im fairly new to cloning and want to know how to get clones with 2 branches per node. Last time I cloned my best plant the clone had lateral branching at every node and wasnt very strong in general. Its about 11 days into flower.

From what I know and have read I was under the impression a clone will never have symmetrical sides, but any part of the plant will clone although they recommend the lowest branches to be the best. Not every clone will work and not every clone will grow the same rate.

Cloning in flower has a much slower rooting time than in veg, depending on your skill with pruning and deleafing, I've always had the nicest most vigorous clones from tops, and end up withwhat you're looking for.. straight water is best until roots show, then 500 ppm for a week then up to 800 after, if you know the par and ppfd of your light, aim for a 400 par for preveg and 500-600 for veg to close the node spacing, deleafing fans in veg will accomplish the same. Cheers! DWCHC 👈👍

You would have to clone the growth closest towards the bottom of the plant where lateral growth hasn't hit yet as it does when she gets older and the new growth is all lateral .. it's easyiest to clone the bottom branches I just do mine in water and they take within a week then I put them into there homes ...

Thinking about dimming my light down to 75% and adding a 2k equivalent king plus doublechip led to get the lights as close as possible and light up the perimeters better then a single stationary 1k hps cool tube as long as the temps stay comfortable

Added a 375wt actual power draw kingplus 2kwatt doublechip LED to one side of the tent. I'll be moving the plants around so they get the best of both worlds. Buds are just starting to develop and some already have frost... IME they look very promising! Until next time... *Edit 5 days later* Fucking a these are some seriously beautiful plants. Will update soon.

Week 1: After water cup germination, seeds were planted in 1/4 gallon starter pots filled with promix amended with worm castings under a t5 light. Week 2: Transplanted into 5 gallon pots filled with promix amended with blood meal, bone meal, lime , hardwood ashes and worm castings. Placed in 1k watt hps veg room. Week 3: started lsd with cotton strings to the edges of my pots Week 4 Continue lst to allow new growth more direct exposure and keep all tops at the same height. Week 5 More lst Week 6: Flip lights to 12-12. Soil level in pots has dropped so top off with lobster compost and begin watering with fish emulsion enhanced compost tea. Tie down plants again. Week 7 Plants are looking very happy. Start paying close attention to temps. I shoot for 75-80 f during day. Week 8; Added a 2k watt equivalent led to max out this tent.Everything is going smooth at this point just a matter of alternating between water and fish emulsion compost tea and maintaining proper temps. Week 9 Rotating plants so that every two days they switch sides of tent. (Hps/led dual grow) Week 10 Water and fish emulsion compost tea / rotate plants. Removed led because temps were unfavorable. Lessons learnt thus far; 1. Dont fill pots to the brim unless you want to dedicate extra time to watering your plants and wiping up all the water on the floor. 2: 1k hps is very effective but 2 600 watt hps is absolutely the way to go 3. Led lights are actually very effective when used properly ( i was a non believer) 4. I failed to remove a good portion of the growth umder the canopy so I'm expexting a fair amount of late. Next run will be stellar

Well, after looking thouroughly i found all my plants started producing seeds and i found out one of my plants has a few bananas. There were absolutely no light leaks, temp problems, nothing. 5 gorilla breaths are all fucked after 11 weeks of hard work. Needless to say I'm heartbroken. These were on track to being the nicest plants ive ever grown. I will be cutting them all down tomorrow morning and starting from scratch when I can get more seeds. Looks like I'll be spending my day off bleaching everything and chopping down these beauties :( Part of me just wants to give up. I put so much love into these girls. I could cry right now.

Gorilla breath is absolutely top notch. These seeds produce strong plants with fast growth that require very little to thrive. Excellent choice for beginners looking to grow top shelf nug. They take on breathtaking fall colors and the smell brings back memories of the best weed ive ever smoked. I'm not going to waste my time growing other seeds because these were that good. Humboldt Seed Organisation has deffinitly got my attention.

I was moving some plants around to make an update and noticed a half mature seed in a cola in one of my plants. After searching everything I noticed they have all been affected and found one of my plants to have few bananas. Im thinking it may have had something to do with me premixing potash crystals in with my soil before transplanting in veg. Its the only thing ive done different compared to my previous grows. Good plants really dont need much to thrive Looking back, I did notice some of the pistils getting darker early and some of my nicest colas stopped putting out new white pistols but I chalked it up to be from cold night temps for a few night im a row and the possibility thats just how this strain grew. They were getting fatter fast as hell. These were on track to being the nicest plants ive ever grown. I will be cutting them all down and starting from scratch soon with my newfound knowledge But as with many other obstacles in life you can either let them drag you through the dirt or you can learn and grow Litterally chopped only 37 days after 12/12 and the buds are still moderatly high in thc! The effect is a moderately strong head high with a little bit of physical relaxation. Taste like thc smells with hints of gas and mellow chocolate undertone. Im sure if this went through the full flowering cycle these buds would be nuts! Coulda shoulda woulda! Next time.....

typically every node has 1 or 2 new leads, but to my surprise I noticed one of the plants had a thirbranch growing out of the side of the node. Cool but weird. The branches of GB want to grow straight up so lst and fan leaf tucking is pretty much essential to expose more future bud sites. (This is obvious but its just a trait i noticed is more prevalent on these plants.) I left one plant to grow untouched to see how she would grow naturally and I had to tie her down at about 5 weeks otherwise it woulda been wasted space. All in all i am very happy with how they are responding to my set up. Ph seems to be vest right at 6 6-5. My house water is horrible and i think switching to local spring water compost tea had been a huge help as well. Ive got some homemade fish emulsion made from pickeral and bass from this summer that i will utilize soon.

If it hermied, and they were feminized, pop a couple, might've surprised at what you find👌👍👈
DWCHC
DWCHCcommented5 years ago
@OutdoorMaster,, hey, I've popped white ones before, it's a total crap shoot whether or not they'll actually pop, if it was a female and it pollinated itself, the resulting seeds should be feminized yet showing genetic variation using the dominant and recessive traits of the parent.
OutdoorMaster
OutdoorMastercommented5 years ago
@dwchc,interesting. I probably should have let them mature fully then and used the seeds. My strongest dankest plant was pollinated but i don't think the seeds are mature enough to use. Sucks, im in need of seeds too. Now i feel like a moron.

I’m so sorry you’ve found seeds. Still got some lovely looking buds there that’ll still get you buzzed. Onto the next grow. I’m guessing you’ve learnt a lot this grow? Take on the positives my friend. That leaf fade colour is beautiful 😍🌱😎

By the look of things the stretch is on 🤘 As said above mate you can still take clones to preserve the genetics but if your doing it I'd do it pretty quick mate 🤗 Until next time ✌️ Kind regards Team-HSO...

By the way, giving a flowering plants in mid or early flower set, potassium nitrate, can induce random 'nanners'.. the only time pot/nite is good for flowers is late in the game when there's no time left for the 'nanners' to form, a little bit of pot nite with a bit of sulfate of potash and some trace is a booster to bulkthem up before harvest, but be careful if your growing in soil as the window of opportunity is much tighter than hydroponics...
the end.
