This is my 3rd grow, i didn't want to start my diaries and look like a noob. Now i can track my progress and share my experience with everyone.
Soil used: Plagron BatMix, it is pre-fertilised for the first 6 weeks so i only need bloom booster in the end of flowering stage.
Day 0 - already been in water for 12hrs, root sprouted and i transplanted it in a jiffy pallet. Keeping it in a dark container on my pc's power source, i noticed that the seed to sprout needs around 25C and lots of humidity, it just works flawlessly
Day 1 - almost sprouted, 36hrs after i submerged it in water, it should pop his case during the night.
Day 3 - Cheap top to keep humidity in, for the next 3-4 days. Transplanted it in a small cup already.
End of week nothing really important to show. It's slowly growing :)
Week 2 - Started ok, already forming the 3rd fan leaves, hopefully by the end of the week they will be developed an start transplanting in the final pot.
The new leaves are a bit yellow, maybe the ph is a bit off, but it should recover the next days.
Also started using the bio-grow and acti-vera but really small quantities, the soil is prefertilised so i don't want to burn them.
Week 3 - starting at day 14, wanted to wait one more day but she is moving faster than i expected.
Transplant day, roots seem perfect, nice white and fluffy. Used exact measurements for the transplant :P and finally i used plagron's bat mix.
I can see small leaves forming from the first set of leaves, i don't remember my other grows if they started growing from there or the second set of fan leaves. Either way looking good to start with 5 tops, only thing now is to LST every week or so.
Let's make it nice and even.
Day 16 - it seems that in the past 2 days after the transplant it grew really little. so let's see how she does tomorrow
Week 4, nothing interesting, the side branches are starting to form, still have to wait about a week to start training them.
Still didn't bump the nutrients, the leaves seem a bit too dark, so they should have enough nutrients.
D24 - started a bit of training, the stem has gotten really thick, let's hope it will make nice and strong branches :D
First time i've done such an extreme training, the plant looks like it's accepting it.
I'm curious to see if it will start flowering at the end of the week, but it might not be the case...
Entered Week 6 and it's only now starting to stretch, luckily i managed to get a nice "bush" type of training, first time i ever got these results and it looks good.
Managed to finish the training with approximately 10 tops spread almost even across the pot.
There will be no more pictures this week, leaving for Christmas for about a week, fingers crossed that she won't die in my absence :D
Back from holiday!
Luckily the plant didn't die on me, left the soil heavily saturated and the tray full of water.
In my absence she developed a tone of leaves so first thing i did was a mild defoliation in the top part and a more heavy one on the bottom. The leaves where really thick and green, even the bottom ones so i didn't go overboard with it, will do another major defoliation after the first 1-2 weeks of flowering so i won't stress her so much.
Funny how the lst curved the stem, looks like a bonsai tree :D
It's starting to show signs of flowering, but not quite there yet.
Starting to stretch alot, more than 10 cm in height per week.
She's not quite in flowering, but more like in pre-flower and i'm sure it will be the there soon.
The photos are taken after the light out period, so that's why she looks droopy.
D51 - did another defoliation in the middle of the bush, i saw there where many bud sites lower down that didn't get so much light.
It streched almost 15 cm since last week, but for the last couple of days it finally stopped so it should now start forming the buds.... really anxious.
Switched to 20hr light, i am hoping she will mature a bit faster like that. I know that it's not good to stress the plant, but she still has 4 hrs of darkness.
Also i'm defoliating, 1-2 leaves a day where i see that she needs light for lower bud sights.
We're getting there slowly.
It's getting fluffier, just can't wait to see how much more thicker the buds will be with nutrients.
The problem is the feeding, it feels like there is no more soil in the pot. I am feeding 100ml of water every couple of days and the moment i'm doing that it just drops to the bottom, even dough it's completely dry. We will see how this turns out.
And yes, first time that i used nutrients i've burned her, last week i've only used water and now browning of the leaves tips has stopped, so i started again to feed her nutrients but really small quantities.
One side effect of the nutrient burn was the yellowing of the top leaves, hopefully i didn't slow her growth that much.
On the bright side crystals are finally starting to form, i even saw a bit on the leaves as well. My first grows i didn't use nutrients and crystals never formed on leaves, only in buds, good to know.
Looks like 3 more weeks and she should be ready, curious how much fatter the buds will be with nutrients, hopefully double than with none :D
Slowly getting there, she is getting fatter, but not as much as i expected. We will find out soon enough :D
Some of the pistils are starting to turn brown and the bottom leaves are being cannibalized. Very little crystal production still.
Pink color on leaves is caused by Molybdenum Deficiency, seems my ph was off, but i think it's cause of the nutrient burn she stopped taking in nutrients in that period. The new growth seems healthier.
Looks like we are getting to the finish line, 1-2 weeks maximum.
The past days she's been fattening up her buds, most of the bottom leaves turned yellow.
Around 25% of the hairs turned brown, but i will try to starve it with minimal water so that she will ripen more :)
I wanted to have big nice buds, but even with nutrients they still turned out flimsy.
Seems that my only improvement will be after i get some LED lights.
Overall pretty nice yield, LST helped alot, but i will try not to do anymore defoliation, it seems it only delayed the development of the plant, from now on i will be more careful with autos.
