1/22/20
Past week was smooth for her but not so much for another one of my girls. Our humidity levels are very high in our region and so bud rot is going to be a problem with my tightly stacked buds and I've had to make some adjustments hopefully they'll be enough to keep this monster from returning.
I ended up defoliating all of my girls to keep the moisture to a minimum and air flow at its fullest potential in our grow area.
Last week she was fed a nice casting/molasses tea followed with a pure water 3 days later.
Today is the 22 and I fed her the regular dose of big bud and bud candy with a side of bloom booster. I never give a full dose as I like to give a small amount per feeding and feed often so that my humidity levels remain low.
I have noticed that for me, when I feed through until I get run off the humidity levels remain high except for the last few days when she's beginning to need more. This hasn't been the case when I give less but feed often.
Her slow growing has not been any different throughout her entire grow. She is still developing at a slower pace but on 1/20 I did notice a few thrichomes beginning to glisten on some of her mid level sugar leaves.
This has been the trend with her so there's no reason for me to believe that she wont continue to develop as she matures. I just can't wait to find out if good things truly do come to those who wait.
Shes older than all of my other plants (photo and auto) with the exception being the 2 mother plants I popped a couple of weeks b4 her.
Anyway besides the massive defoliation I have given her, she's not taken any time and I am curious about what she will give in the end as far as quality.
I grew the CBD photo version of this plant from Humboldt Seeds. I really like their genetics. I've only grown their photos though. I remember she had the best smell of all the plants in my tent. Good luck! I've been looking at your grows. You are going to have some nice buds to enjoy during the off season.
@Quexos, I train, top and fem my autos as well. I'm new I to photos (my first two are half through their flower cycle) but I ended up with a little cal-mag deficiency in 1 and was so happy that I could get her recovered b4 sending into flower which is another reason I'll only buy photos now. That's not even mentioning the cloning which gives an unlimited amount of free plants.
When we started out the autos seemed like the best option but once we got a few new lights, a timer, and those photo seeds the game changed in a big way.
Now I'm obsessed with my grow room and spend so much time with my plants.
Happy growing friend!!
@MomnPoppaSeed, You have to look at the parents for some of these autos. My 1st Dark Devil was done after 9 weeks. Most of my autos take 12ish weeks. However I have a Grapefruit Kush that will probably take 15 weeks.
Photos are a minimum of 15 weeks imo.
6-7 weeks in veg. then a 8-10 weeks in flower. I like my photos though because I have so much control over the plant. I could never train any of my autos to look like my current photo grow. I do top, FIM, and LST my autos though.
@Quexos, thanks I'm so ready to try all the new flavors lol. But seriously I have never had an auto take so long to flower but I've also never had anything look like this girl.
I would love to see her in a photo plant.
Honestly, Blue dream has a higher CBD to THC ratio than I'd usually grow but I've tried other people's BD and liked it very much.
Of course I'm no longer buying auto seeds because so many photo period strains finish as early as the autos but with bigger yields.
@raptor65, thanks and same to you!!
I just know that as long as she finishes properly we will have a nice little stash of blue dream to add to our medicine cabinet.
@Efka710, thanks, I'm really impressed by the size of those fan leaves. Most of my autos have had smaller leaves. Heck even my GL photo has smaller leaves and its 3 ft tall.
My 1st attempt at Blue Dream left me slightly disappointed in comparison with the BD bud I've tried in the past (if it was even BD, who knows when it comes from black market) but she never looked this lush and full but was super leggy with no scent, flavor, or potency.
This girl already smells good!!
So I'm assuming that it's the switch to organic nutes and teas plus I'm using more nutrients now and keeping her PH steady.
The same situation with a bubblegum kush 1st was decent but 2nd knocked our socks off.
Hopefully this one is as amazing as we know Humboldt blue dream should be.
This plant has been such an amazing girl. She has really taken her sweet time going into veg which is a good thing for us. We have been getting far less per yield lately with the autos because they were either stunted by a deficiency or went into flower super early causing them to stay small.
This beautiful girl has been in the grow room for almost 8 weeks now and has JUST began showing her heads.
I did start moving her into the flower room during the day for some stretch from the taller lights but I put her back into the nursery so that she can get 18 hours of light.
Very happy with her and cant wait to see her finish which will now probably be another 6 weeks marking her a 14 week girl from pop to chop.
It's been a long while since I've had an auto this big or healthy. Not sure what to expect from potency but if her health gives any indication of her thc/cbd levels then she should be great.
I will begin giving her the organic big bud and bud candy this week so I'll go head and add them now for record keeping purposes.
Cant wait to see what she'll be in the next 2 to 4 weeks!!
