Sorry for the pictures under LED lights. Starting from next week I will take more quality pictures. Summary of week 3 Day 15. Just fed her for the first time. Day 16. Added 3rd 23W 6500K CFL bulb Day 17. Applied new LST today. First side branches showed up and I wanted them to get more light, so I bended the top and fan leaves. This way I hope I will get many strong colas instead one main bud and small side buds. Also I need to fill my leds coverage area Day 19. She got bigger and wasnt fitting in the growing hood I put on her to keep her moist. So I removed it. You can not see the hood in the pictures because I removed it every time I take a picture but on week 1s short video you can see what I mean. Anyway, Now I have to spray her more often to keep humidity high. Might aswell get a humidity tray. Day 21. Got a humidity tray! But its too dry inside that I dont know if the tray will help at all

Day 22. First day of week 4. Gave her little bit more nutes than last week. Dont want to burn the plant while the pot is too small and I dont have a pH meter yet Day 25. Bought a 6L pot and repotted her. I know autos dont like repotting. I thought I can do it with 3L pot till the end to keep it small but it seemed much smaller than I expect it to be at this stage. I expect a delay in harvest time because of this, but I hope at the end I will reach my goal. While repotting, I cut the old pot and removed the plant as a whole without turning it upside down. Tried to be careful as much as possible but while placing her into new pot I could feel the weaker roots were breaking off:( I hope she gets over the stress in few days. Also, applied new LST while repotting. Day 26. I harvest the other plant today. So there has been a lot of changes in the grow tent setup. First of all, now we are on 18/6 cycle. Searched a little bit in the forums and appearently its safe with autos to switch 18/6 during flower from 12/12veg cycle. Also added 4th CFL bulb. Now it is 4x23w CFLS , 3 of them 6500K 1 of them is 2700K. She is doing well after repotting. Soil seems a bit dry, but the leaves are fine, gonna water tomorrow. And feed on Sunday(day 29). Day 27. First pistils showed themselves! I hope she grows more vegetative before entering fully flowering stage.

So week 5 has started. This week should be flowering week but shes taking it slowly. She looks lovely and healthy tho. This week I start adding bloom fertilizer to her solution. I like the way she stayed low and bushy. She has around 8 colas with this small size. I am trying to rotate the fan leaves with sticks so the lower colas can see the light directly. Almost everyday I am doing some changes with her LST. Main stem grew vertical nicely just as I wanted. But still I couldnt fill all my coverage area. Maybe because of the strain itself, or my low power lights, or 12/12 start light cycle. Probably all of them affected her size. Day 30. Switched one of the 6500K bulb with 2700K. Now its 2x6500, 2x2700. And the 300W LED ofc. a short 1 hour timelapse. I need a bigger memory card so I can make a proper timelapse Day 31. Changed this week to flowering week. I can see shes focusing on her pre-flowers lately. Each day i can notice they grow taller. Changed another 6500K bulb with 2700K. Was waiting for next week but seems she is ready for full flow mode. You can see her curvy body on pictures. It looks really nice imo. Middle buds already as big as main cola now. Day 35. Last day of week 5. Fed her today and this time I add 1ml/l Top-Max. There are some small burns on random areas. Some are on edge of the leaves while others are in the middle like small dots. I guess they are light burn. No big deal hopefully. The first leaves on the bottom of her main stem are drying and dying. I think thats normal. Everything else seems pretty healthy. She is filling 30x25 cm area while my coverage area is 40x40cm. Not too bad but next time I will train it better for sure. Watering every 2 days with around 500ml water. And feeding between 2 waterings so every 6 day.

Day 36. 20 days until harvest, according to breeder. Lets say it 30~ days, just to be sure Day 40. Feed her again with less Bio-Grow, more Bio-Bloom and Top-Max. ratio of 1/4/3 respectively. 2 more feedings remaining until harvest. Maybe 3. Next feed I will go with 1/4/4 and then 1/5/5. If it delays and needs a third feeding then I will give her 0/4/4. No flushing. Just gonna cut feeding 6ish days before harvest.

Start of week 7. Very happy with the shape and coverage. Since last week I check her only twice a day and let her do the magic. Odor is still very low. Grow tent smells a mixture of mint, grassy weed and lavender. Thatd be nice if she gets a little mint to her aroma, mmm

Day 50 Buds are getting covered with resin. Supposed to be the last week but she seems to need more time, we will see:) bottom leaves fell and middle leaves are going yellow. But top fan leaves and buds are healthy af. Day 55 Today I recieved my TDS meter. Appearentely my tap water is 240ppm. And my last feeding was 700ppm. I guess its little high considering the light watts, coverage, plant size etc. I dont know about my previous feedings cause I dont have the solutions anymore. But we know she started with 240 and ended up 700ppm so have a line there. Now I got my TDS meter so I will dig into this subject more and be experienced and ready for my next grow (which will be auto NL+auto OG kush!). Day 56 Normal harvest day of this strain. But we still have time, probably because of low light and repotting etc. I wasnt thinking about flushing this grow, but did it today anyways. Autoflowerings are confusing, so little time that I get confused what to do next. At this point, I am not sure what I am doing. Just experiencing it while doing it. Even tho I flushed, the water is still around 350ppm and not dropping any lower. My tap water has high ppm anyways so thats the closest I can get I guess to my tap water ppm.

So this week was painful. Although I flushed her twice and fixed ppm around 150, nute burns hasnt even slowed, they accelerated. Buds are still fine but almost all fan leaves fell or going to fell. I will harvest her this sunday or monday( in 3-4 days). I would like to have some experienced opinions:)

Still very few amber trichomes, and they are mostly on main cola. Most of the pistils turned brownish orange. It takes longer for the soil to get dry on top. I watered again 4 days after I last flushed . And then again in another 4. Peeled most of the fan leaves which turned weirdo or completely dried. Some of the weirdo leaves were hard to reach and impossible to peel without disturbing the buds or touching the trichomes. And I didnt want to cut them either since they are mostly on the bottom, they dont disturb lower buds to get light. so I left them there to be dealt with during harvest. Also 3 days ago I chopped a medium size cola and dried it around 28C 45rH in a dark cardboard box. So it dried fast enough. It tastes spicy. Cant say I got stoned, which I really want. But got me a little high. I hope she gets triple potency otherwise it wont worth the effort. In other news got my new seeds! As soon as she is done I will clean the tent and start new grow (og kush). I will definitily do better on that one.

Lights down to 16 from 18 because I want my new grow to go 16/8 from start to end and save electricity as much as possible. Follow my new grow aswell, gonna do much much better! She is a beautiful lady now. Probably last week. Not many amber trichomes yet tho.... Id love to have any suggestions and views. I chopped couple more small colas for myself because my supply is finished. I can say taste is really strong herby spicy and intense. But the high was, just high. Probably because lack of CBD (edit: CBN*). What I need is to get stoned :)

Waiting....waiting.... Amber count increase reaally slowly. so far 2 colas and 2 popcorns chopped, hence the size of the plant. Only few fan leaves left on down sides of the colas and they are fading aswell. I have no idea when im gonna harvest this. Not rushing cuz I have my supply now whew. But on the otherhand my new grow needs to take their place under the core lights soon. So hope she will be done soon.

Since my last update on day 90, here we are on day 106. During this time I chopped a cola each day dried them 3 days then smoked all of it :D I saved the biggest 2 to last, gave them more time in the tent and dried them 5 days slowly, cured a week and now today Im smoking it. In the pictures you are only seeing the last buds I kept. Others are not photographed. It wont last couple days tho😬 Not because small yield, because I smoke a lot lol. Yield was fine. Regardless the low light wattage she gave nice harvest, about 37 grams. Cant say exact because I didnt weight them all. Some of the colas I chopped weeks earlier for example. Im only adding their weight by guess. So overall im very happy with the outcome.

So ... after looking your diary, you shouldn’t blindly follow breeders flowering periods. What happened is you flushed your plant too early... ☝️it isn’t nutrients burns on the pictures, she is just fading (too early), there’s no more nutrients in the soil and she is using all the stock left in the leaves and then in the roots . You can plug off all the weird leaves out of nootz, and keep on pushing her as far as possible (maybe another 2 weeks).

@NoobiewithDoobie, don’t be worry, she has plenty of stock in the roots, she was lush green and fully loaded during last weeks. All the tric’s looks milky, amber tric’s shall start to show in the following weeks.

She is with a photoperiod strain in the grow room which is at the end of flowering stage. That is why the lights are 12/12. Althought, it is hard to get two different humidity levels in the same time. So I just put a hood on her and spraying it regulary, while her bigger sister is in the tent with %50 humidity. Started with 2 CFLs and now under 300W LEDs. Gonna keep the CFLs aswell for more light wattage Except the bagseed I planted 3 months ago (now almost ready to harvest), this is my first real grow (with proper equipment and knowledge). So I am really excited. I still lack some eqiupment like pH meter, ppm meter and stuff like that. So cant give any info on them. I use Biobizz Lightmix soil and planning to use biobizz feeding products through this grow. Aiming for a micro grow here, gonna keep the pot small.

looks good to me. did you put the lights off before the photo? Read somewehere they don't like photo's with lights on. I also read lots of info about potsize, but only problem with bigger pots seem to be "to much plant, height" or "waste of soil". Both not real concern to me, yet. ;) Keep on growing!
HerbalAbuser
HerbalAbusercommented7 years ago
@Peebos, Oh lol yeah sorry I got you wrong ;D people prefer lights off, using flash camera or what they suggest? I ordered from seedsman, they shipped it within 2 days and I got my order 6 days after its shipped, so 8 days including weekend.
Peebos
Peeboscommented7 years ago
@NoobiewithDoobie, LOL, bit misunderstanding about the pictures. I thought the people visiting this site, don't prefere pictures with lights on. Not sure about the plants thoughts about this. ;) I'm still waiting for my seeds from RQS, 6 day's after ordening they are not even shipped. Just read it can take up to 15 days, sigh. How fast did you get your's from RQS?
HerbalAbuser
HerbalAbusercommented7 years ago
@Peebos, never heard of taking a photo with lights on stresses them. Maybe the flash? But I dont use flash. Daylight from near CFLs makes my photos clear enough I guess. Under LEDs only they seem much dark green. Yes, waste of soil is the only downside I guess. I think I will get 6-7L pot and try to repot her without disturbing her root system. This maybe add 2-3 days stress but then she will get through it. My 4L seemed way too little as she grows :)
JUNGLE_B4RNS
JUNGLE_B4RNScommentedweek 117 years ago
You’re mistaking CBD and CBN bro ... CBN comes from THC degradation . When your trichomes turns amber it means THC has change into CBN , this is the molecule who gives you that lazy and heavy stoned effects... otherwise you get what you have experimented, a fast hit with no punch , you just get a clear high. It takes times to let the THC turn amber , depending on the plant conditions and environment.
JUNGLE_B4RNS
JUNGLE_B4RNScommented7 years ago
@HerbalAbuser,nothing special to do , you just need to wait , it can take a few more days to a few more weeks .
HerbalAbuser
HerbalAbusercommented7 years ago
@JUNGLE_B4RNS, Yes right CBN. Sorry I just read a lot of articles and stuff lately and it may be confusing :) So, I should continue regular watering without feeding and wait then? All my concern comes from that early flush. Do I have to do anything special? Thanks for help mate :)

Good looking flowers man, I'm not experienced as I'm doing my first grow also but all the research I have done it's looks to me to be to early for harvesting as the hairs still look mainly white with a few orange/brown in the pictures so I would say you have roughly 2 weeks, are all the trichomes still clear??
MrGreenFingers
MrGreenFingerscommented7 years ago
@NoobiewithDoobie, I think the breeders always say the minimum time they will take and have heard you should always expect to add 2-3 weeks on to that, if I was you I would stay patient and let the hairs/trichomes tell you and I think you will then maximise your yield/quality, I know it's hard to stay patient as I am about 2-3 weeks away as well but am tempted to chop early but stay strong as I am sure patience will be rewarded!
HerbalAbuser
HerbalAbusercommented7 years ago
@MrGreenFingers, there are very few turned fully brown/yellowish but id say %90 of them are still clear:( (you can zoom in the macro images and see a couple) this supposed to be 8 weeks from seed to harvest strain, you are saying she will be ready to harvest on week 11 :D thats pretty behind the schedule. I wanted her to be ready at least for new years :(

hello doobie, nice setup, will follow you. Just ordered my NL auto seeds from royal queen seeds and probably will start next tuesday with germinating. how much watts do your lights draw from the socket? I also have "300 watt led" but only uses 125 real watts, hence the question. Good Luck!
Peebos
Peeboscommented7 years ago
@NoobiewithDoobie, yes, good to compare! "They" say for every gallon, you grow one feet. So how much can you grow on a one feet tall plant? Ain't there some saturation point for light? Watching you progress already feels like a race, can't wait to start. Good Luck!
HerbalAbuser
HerbalAbusercommented7 years ago
@Peebos, I am not an expert myself but I did lots of research. Ofcourse pot size is important. But somewhere I read for auto flowering strains which are ready to harvest from seed in 8 weeks, they suggest smaller pots. I think your 18L is a bit overkill. "the perfect pot size for auto flower plants should be 1,5 to 2,5 gallons (5,6 to 9,4 liters)" I kept my pot at minimum because I may keep it as a stealth grow. This is my first proper grow but not the last. I will do massive grows in the future. But for this time I will keep things small, while trying to get the biggest buds possible. If I let the plant grow bigger, I will eventually have more buds, of course. But I can still get big buds in a small plant if I add more lights. I think we will see it in the following weeks, keep yours in 18L if you want. And then we compare our harvests. Best way to learn is through experience. Every forum or video etc. tells a different story. Although I believe this guy has good points: Search for growboss on youtube. Very educative videos.
Peebos
Peeboscommented7 years ago
@NoobiewithDoobie, I bought 2, 18 l pots and think for growing the 300W led should be enough for 2 plants. In flowering perhaps add some 12W cfl lights in the corners. Are you sure more light will produce more yield with the 4l pots you are using? Seems to me like the pot is the restraining factor. Would you not get more with just a bigger pot?

@HerbalAbuser, thank you for the reply man. normally i have to pray for the first 2-3 weeks right?
HerbalAbuser
HerbalAbusercommented7 years ago
@chillout, only first week but I wouldnt use it if the humidity was high in the room. But it was low. I was spraying the seedling 3-4 times a day and put a dome on it in the first week. Then keep spraying couple times a day without using dome on week 2 and week 3 I guess she can handle low humidity.
the end.
