I dropped this lady into a 2 gallon pot and fed her some 0-0.7-0 Phos bat guano tea and threw in some worms. But due to the short nature of the plant I think I should have added a bit of perlite to the super soil. Idk though maybe it’s just the phenotype😕 any thoughts on perlite idea? It’s week 5 and she’s under 9 inches but I did pull her main cola down quite a bit. Otherwise she’d be around a foot.
She looks nice. I think at this point you should stick with organic grow nutrients. It looks like shes just showing her sex by throwing out a few pistils. It's a transitional stage. Next will be preflower. She should start stretching soon I would keep giving her grow nutrients until shes 3/4 way through the stretch, if she even needs it. Organic nutrients may take a little longer to be converted to a form usable by the plants roots by your beneficial microbes.
As long as her leaves arent super dark green or the tips arent clawing or yellowing you should be good. When you see multiple powder puffs of pistils I'd say she's truly in bloom. Then change your lighting and nutrients to bloom. If you start giving bloom nutrients too soon and hit them with heavier red spectrum bloom lights she can over stretch. If your going the organic root stick to it. Use of high concentrations of chemical nutrients can hinder microbial growth unless you keep reapplying more during your grow. You can use Organic unsulfured black strap molasses as a bud/ terpene booster. Any good health food store will carry it. Start with 1 teaspoon per gallon once per week. If your plants respond well you can use up to 1 tablespoon per gallon during peak bloom. Most of these bud/ terpene boosters contain magnesium sulphate or potassium sulfate. Black strap molasses has a lot of good nutrients and carbohydrates to feed your microbial herd
@Philindicus,thank so much for your assistance I picked up the blackstrap molasses, love that stuff. Can Brew it with phosphorus bat guano too? Also I did add more microbes, every 2 weeks. Too much?
@Mr_Weeds_Autos, thanks for the intrest! I’m glad to report the canopy is much fuller. Within a week the bottom branches shot up to form the desired shape I was looking for. I recommend using pipe cleaners cheep and stronger than needed.
Nice! Again something pleasant to look at :P I'm curious about how far from the plant you keep your LED? and do you use VEG + BLOOM mode or you stick to mode equivalent to tyhe stage that plants are currently in? Cheers!
