The seedling stage is over, the first day of being into their forever homes. This week didn't go without its challenges, the girls started presenting a slight Cal-Mag deficiency that I managed to cycle them out of within a couple of days by applying foliage treatment which acted faster than expected. Go the foliar dose! Only to slightly overdose them with Cal-mag (facepalm) ๐ณSo have backed right off the Cal-mag for the time being ๐, I will let the girls that have been affected recover over the next few days.
When people say Auto's are tricky they mean it, what I am finding through this auto journey is it's like an accelerated grow course for cannabis. Ive been growing for 2 decades and a bit with photoperiods, which you would think would give you an edge on growing Auto's. Ummm no! It certainly does not, lol. In terms of diagnosing potential issues yes, but in terms of growing its like a re-learning phase which Im totally loving.
The girls have been transplanted into 3.5gl Air pots, with Coco medium that has been watered with Cal-mag solution and also a 0.7 EC Nutrient dose. For this Grow, I'm keeping the Nutrients simple Advanced Nutrients Sensi Coco A + B, Cal- Mag and Rhizotonic as a foliage application. My PH is currently set with my Bluelab PH controller to 6, the girls are responding well to this level early in vege and are exhibiting some nice daily growth.

I update my stories most days with both the gardens I have growing. I also love answering questions so hit me up. ๐
@Fast_Buds, thank you for the follow. I recently emailed you guys some of my images from my other grow you guys requested from my insta account. I hope you enjoy them.
I'm sry but this is not main-lining. You topped your plants and now you lst them. What you are doing is way to much stress for automatics. Proof me wrong but i garantee you not more than 2 g. Automatics have a to short lifespan. Good luck
@@ShotGunBob, hey there. This technique is a manifold which I choose to use 4 branches instead of the classic 2. This does not cause any plant stress, that my friend is an urban myth. My last run which you can see here: https://www.instagram.com/danksquared_/ . This grow was in one of my 2x4 tents which was loaded with big healthy plants that blossomed some very very nice flowers. Check it out, the proof is in the pudding as they say.
I only kept two branches instead of the 4 here. Mainlining and manifolding are basically the same thing, lst is simply another term for training or tying down a branch. Which has been used by gardeners for 100s of years.
Automatics do have a short lifespan if you let them grow from seed to finish, however if you employ Mainling techniques you can hold that auto flower in veg for as long as you want. As you can see by the link i posted, I held the Blackberry and Bloodyskunk in veg for 7.5 weeks, which is nearly the usual lifespan of letting a Auto grow from start to finish.
Do check out my Insta, there are some beautiful photos of Auto's being given low lifespans.
