Nov 29 - Repotted Alaskan Purple and Pineapple Punch. AP wasn't really ready, but I'm getting impatient and I want to line all 4 of these plants up in the next 6 weeks!! Nov 30 - Made a homemade compost tea brewer today out of a lemonade dispenser, a strainer, an old aquarium pump and some cheese cloth. Oh, and of course, duct tape ;) Value Village is a Homegrower's best friend! Dec 1 - I thought the air was getting a little stale between exhaust cycles. I decided to wedge a small fan into the 6" intake port to create a constant low flow. Dec 2 - Topped the BD and BB today!! Finger crossed :l Everyone enjoyed their first tea time. Dec 3 - Discovered some white fuzzy mold on soil surface of BD. It was oversaturated and there was a chunk of semi composted material in the soil mix that was the catalyst. I vacuumed the moldy area up and got some more air aimed at it.. Dec 3 - Did some basic LST to open it up to more light Dec 4 - BD and BB seem very happy after topping and LST

Just a thought, but you might be overthinking this entire process. The white "mold" on your soil surface is likely a friendly soil fungus, and could be working with your compost teas and microbes in the soil breaking down all those nutrients into plant available forms. Happy Growing.
