Transplanted 5 or so day ago into a 5 gal bag using recycled coco coir and Humboldt prozyme. Initially she struggled but seems to have found it's feet. From here on out I will mostly be using recycled media including on the newest crop which is top half new canna coco no perlite and bottom half recycled with perlite, clay pebbles, grow stones and obviously little root hairs from the previous run which the prozyme will turn into food essentially when the plant is in bloom. Very interested in no till concept but don't want to stray from coco. Looking to also move into organic/veganic nute lines but have so many mineral based bottles left I don't want to spend the money until there used up
She thriving in the 5g pot with recycled coco. The bud structure is a bit strange of you look at the main cola it just looks different. Just starting to get sticky and swell up
The foxtails continue I think it's just genetics sometimes sativa dominant strains will grow similarly but Idk for sure. Its very sticky and is developing it's smell right now. Its built like a brick shithouse so hopefully the buds continue to fill out consistently. Would like to give this strain another go for redemption on the tails
She looks a bit deranged at first sight no doubt maybe u feel a little uncomfortable but let me tell you this girl is a moose on the loose. she looks like a statue of medusa the lady with snakes for hair and her long lost children But a few inches below those twizzler heads is some solid nugget. Smell like wet mangos as it should and is sticky as a fly trap. The buds are ridiculous in size the main one is as wide as my head. The lowers and side branches are actually somewhat normal compared to the others. There's no way of knowing the quality and production until harvest but if I can trim her up nicely into small nugs I think we'll be aight. Started lowering ppms this week but it's hard to tell when she is gunna ripen up with the foxtails. Right now the trichs are mostly cloudy with some clear and no amber I just can't imagine they can get bigger than what they are now. Will need to run this one back at some point and try to avoid the tails.
The moose is loose, chopped on sat 2-17 after 72 hour dark period. Usually don't do the dark period like that but I had the dry tent open and empty so I did it and who knows if it made a difference. She reeks to high heaven not sure exactly what the smell could be compared to but it's musty and like some kind of wet fruit maybe mangos. Obviously the foxtails are not ideal but after cutting her down and getting to inspect them more closely it isn't as bad as it looks. I've had foxtails that are stringy and stem showing between the little tails but these ones are all like little individual tiny nugs. Who's to say if it's genetics or my lights but it is what it is and it's not too bad. I'm assuming she'll be a heavy yielder as the middle of the buds are pretty solid. I think if I trim this carefully it could be some sellable product, if not I'll smoke it all or press it. The bottom line is that it stinks, it's sticky and it's covered in trichs. Really want to give this one another go and see what happens. Will log harvest weight and smok3 report in the next week and a half or so stay tuned for more info on her and happy growin...
P.s.
If your ash is black your weed is wack
Flush that shit
This thing got huge, it did have some crazy foxtails but the buds actually dried up respectable. Sativas aren't always compact buds they can be long and airy conpared to indicas and I think that was somewhat the case here also with some foxtailing. I just germinated my last seed today of this strain to try to get some redemption. The smell didn't come out right, I waited too long to flush/chop her bc with the foxtails It was hard to tell if she was done or not because the pistils weren't all turning orange. I smoked a sample joint and it was an uplifted high but lost some potency i think cuz of the late harvest. Tough run but heavy yield of 268 grams dry. Well see what happens with the next one.
Check out @b4rns logs he has VPD, chart... relating to temp and humidity ranges.. your temp is high for humidity that low..
Eather way it's looking good.. the chart helped me
They almost look like they foxtailed at the beginning...
Eather way.. if she fills in like she should with all the time she has left.... your gonna have a BEAUTIFUL HARVEST.. will follow along
@Hawkbo, ain’t your fault bro. There’s something wrong in her genetics with this one. She look like she didn’t know what to do between flowering and re-vegging ....
@Fun_Growin, thanks bro, I agree it looks like for failing it's just strange cuz I've taken extra special care of her and she's perfectly healthy. Temps are consistent at 78-80, rh is at 30-35%, havnt missed a feed, it's recycled coco but using 10ml/gal prozyme. Hoping she just bulks up and fills in. Thanks for following.
Thanks @Eauderay, ya i don't know what to make of it pal Idk if I should keep feeding it bloom boosters or start droppin ppms and flush soon? Hard to tell with the tails but atleast it didn't hermie or anything and worse comes to worse i can throw it inn the rosin press
