Day 1 Just received my seeds in the mail. That was a lengthy wait. Put them in a cup of room temperature water and not to start the 18 hour timer

Well it has been a week of learning to say it in a way where I don’t want to drive off a cliff. I’m new to the whole grow thing and it’s my first go at gardening. I’ve gotten new better equipment like my a/c infinity fans and my inkbird humidity control. I’m still awaiting a tower fan and oscillating clip fans. Bought one from vivosun and was extremely disappointed in the quality of the product. I’m pretty sure I started out over watering the plants and and my cheap ph pen has been a huge hassle as well. My blue lab ph pen should be here next week so hopefully that’ll be one less headache. Still watching lots of videos and reading as many forums as possible. Popping seeds is something I tried different ways. Did the soaking water Then in a paper towel way and then the putting them directly into the medium way. So far the putting them directly into the medium way has given me the best results. I have big hands so the less handling of the delicate seed the better. Putting them in the coco and then lightly watering them and covering them with cling wrap is what’s worked best so far.

Week three was not much different other then I tried my hand at topping and the LST. The topping was a bit unnerving for a newb lol. The plant didn’t die and new growth is happening so I will assume success. The LST on the other hand is still baffling me. I’m sure that as I grow it will become more blatantly clear as to where to tie down and what to expose. Re topped the soil with the 4-4-4 and the 2-8-4. Also got my blulab pen. Worth the money. Just enjoying the grow at this point.

What a week it’s been. Kinda getting used to the fact that the girls don’t need something from me every waking second lol. It’s good to let the medium get a little dry is my new mantra. Bent one of the plant tops a little to far and snapped a bit right off ! Lesson learned. They are growing like weeds now lol. I whipped up a high nitrogen compost tea for them after not watering for three days so let’s see where this goes.

This week was business as usual. Keeping an eye for new growth and potential tie downs. Through topping and the tie downs I’ve been able to get a fairly even canopy so far. At the start of the week during a LST session I snapped off a whole branch by accident! 😭😭 While I was leaning in to quarter turn one of my pots I pushed on one of the branch’s to hard and snap!!! Felt like Lenny from The book Of Mice and Men lol. But with that it’s growing really well. Thinking of going one more week and then flipping to the 12/12. I’m really loving growing and finding it’s really relaxing to do so. This community is extremely awesome and encouraging as well.

Growth has been noticeable this week for sure. Going in every other day and readjusting the tie downs has had a positive impact on the coverage of my Grow light. Two of the plants needed a heavy defoliation in order to see light on the medium. Didn’t do any topping this week, figured I’d let the girls relax and not stress them anymore. Probably not going to defoliate until my second week of flower. Just going to control the environment and water them when dry, which is happening a lot more often now. These little milestones in my girls life are starting to feel like Christmas mornings lol

This week was a lot of the same. Pulling down old ties and watering when dry. Tonight was the start of flower though so I added a cheap 50 dollar “burpel” light to help the Mars Hydro Ts 1000. Removed the humidifier due to lack of room and the fact that it’s time for humidity to dip anyway. I think 5 plants might have been to much for my 3 by 3 but we will see. Top dressed with a 50/50 4-4-4 and 3-9-4. Really excited to see what the flowering stage has in store for me. I know it’s putting the cart before the horse but I’m already ready for grow number two. Might give auto flowers a turn. Weedseedexpress has a gorilla glue I wanna give a go.

Switched the lights to 12/12! No huge developments yet but really excited to see how flowering is going to go. I thought I had a hand on keeping the vegetation environment down and now switching to flower has brought new challenges. Challenge accepted lol

Haven’t really seen any change in the plants yet. They seem to be drying out sooner though so that’s good. I love getting into my garden and just touching the plants, it peaceful strangely. When I’m moving the stems and such the smell it gives off is very strong. Super hopeful that will be the all the time smell lol.

Business as usual lol. Just watering when dry and making sure the light is able to penetrate to the soil. Pistols are starting to pop more and I’m giddy as a school girl every time I’m in the tent. Broke down and bought a dehumidifier to help with the rh in the tent.

Flowering has been very exciting to say the least. It feels really good to see my plants produce their fruit. They don’t really need a lot of maintenance at this point, just water when dry. Got on the amazon and got a few things ordered that I’ve been putting off. Finally got the money to get a soil ph tester. Really happy with the support and my diary friends I’ve come to make. Started a instagram for my grows so shoot me your and I’ll follow ya

This week has been great. The smell is getting a little stronger and I love it. The buds are everywhere. I got a Bluelab ph soil tester and I was shocked to see where the ph was. Needless to say I ordered some Dolomite lime and some seabird guano. Got the seaweed hulmiv solution and some alfalfa meal and kelp meal and made a very very frothy tea. Dropped in some mykroize as well. Now to sit back and wait to see if this tea is gonna do some magic for me.

Think it’s getting close to end. Got a microscope that plugs into my phone so I can start getting pictures of the trichomes. About two weeks ago when I did a heavy trim I took off some lower growth and set it to the side. It dried out and we tested it out and it was kill. Now more excited then ever for harvest lol.

This grow was very fun and relaxing. I can’t believe that I have never done this before. It was a crazy learning experience and it seemed like every week I was learning something that would have been very helpful a few weeks prior. But that’s alright. That just means that my next grow has that much more to be improved on. Gotta say that my least favorite part was trimming. Sitting still that long definitely puts a strain on your back. Thanks for reading and I am definitely looking forward to my next diary.

looking really good👍 I see yellow sticky tabs😨 if you have a fungis gnat problem tabs work great for the flies, but you have to take care of the larvae because they attack your root system. Try keeping the top 1'' of soil dry, it helps kill off the larvae as they like the wet conditions. If this does not work there are other remedies you can look up online. Hope this helps out. I had the same problem, used sand and diotamaceus earth worked well. Grow Big💪

@UglyTrucker, I find its the difference between warm light phase and cool dark phase that brings the colors out. Extra weight I’m unsure.

Hey ugly, LST is nothing mystical . It’s done to make your plants symmetrical, straighten goofy formed stems, improve air flow and light by opening plant up and mostly to keep a level canopy so colas receive equal light. Also allow plant to distribute equal nutrients throughout. When it grows out a little you’ll know what needs to be tied down. Your doing great.

I’m little jealous of your setup. Watering system ect. Once you dial all the equipment in you are going to produce some primo weed. Seed genetics a given.
the end.
