This batch of 8 seeds was started in starter plugs on Tuesday, Nov 19th. These pictures were actually taken Nov 29th on their 10th day. All but the two Jock Horrors popped within 24 hours and I transplanted into 1 gal pots and put into my grow tent with my photoperiod plants that are 3 months old now until the first batch of autoflowers were done on day 13. The first Jock Horror popped about day 3, the second never did so i seeded another one a week after the others. It's popped but is about 10 days behind the other strains, and a week behind Jock Horror #1. Don't think I'll be doing much if any LST this time to see what effect it has on total yield/size/shape ect. Or maybe I'll train some and not others, haven't decided for sure yet. I'm planning on giving veg nutes to half starting at week 3 and not give them to the other half until bloom nutes when they hit week 5-7 to see what effect this has on yield/size. I need to narrow some variables down to figure out what my best techniques are for future grows. I'm excited for round #2!
These pics were taken Mon, Dec 2nd, day 13. The last of my first batch of autoflowers just got cut down that morning and i cleaned the whole grow area with bleach spray before i transplanted each from 1 gallon pots into 5 gallon grow bags and put them in there
These pictures were taken on day 21, Dec 9th, the last day of week #3 from the day i seeded the larger ones. I gave them a regular watering today and will probably give them their first round of nutes in 3 more days or so. The 2 Jock Horrors are 7-10 days behind the other 6 plants. I'm expecting them to start growing considerably in the next week or two
I took 2 sets of pictures this week. First set was Saturday Dec 14th just before i gave them their first set of nutes. And today Tuesday Dec 17th. I'm giving them a regular water feeding tomorrow. Blueberry Kush #2 is my tallest and healthiest looking girl but after i gave it the nutes its leaves are curling downwards?! And there seems to be slight nute burn on the leaf tips of almost all 8 plants. ☹️ hopefully a good plain watering will perk them back up!
3 days after I gave the auto-flowers their first nutes my best looking plants leaves are all curling downwards around all the leaf edges, making them look super thin. Can be seen in the 2nd pic of Blueberry Kush #2 above
Looks like too much water, maybe excess nutes,possibly the beginning of root rot, get some mycorrhiza in the soil to help combat it.. rootshield or piranah from advanced nutes. Let it dry out a bit before you water again.. hope this helps..
I took these pictures on Christmas day, the second day of their 6th week technically. It was a busy week leading up to xmas. I gave them a second round of nutes last week at half strength of the recommended dose because I'm getting nute burn on them from the first dose the week before. Not doing any LST with this grow just to see the difference in yield at the end. The nutes are not my problem when it comes to yield so i decided to give them all the nutes from week 4 on. So they've had nutes in week 4 and 5 now. I'll take note of the differences in yield from my first grow with LST to this one without. Not convinced there will be much of a difference tbh. I think i need about twice as many LED lights to achieve the yields i want so I'm hoping to buy 2 more HLG 65's for this area and 2 more HLG 100's for my photoperiod tent before my next grows to see the difference because i think that's where I'm lacking
Took these pictures yesterday Monday December 30th, the last day of week 6 from seed. 6 of the 8 are looking healthy with the exception of Jock Horror #1 which is a major runt, and Blueberry Kush #2, which is the second tallest plant i have and is actually the first to start smelling and putting on trichomes, but the leaves are still all curled under from those first round of nutes 2.5 weeks ago. I didn't water any of my plants for an entire week until Sunday when i gave them a gallon each with some Sensi Cal-Mag Xtra. They didn't seem to suffer. Gonna give them another round of nutes next watering probably Thursday or Friday and this time it'll be full on bloom nutes instead of the transition coctail i made up for them last time
I've been slacking on posting. Been busy with my photoperiod grow and the Chiefs playoff run. Last pics i took were Dec 30th way back on the last day of week 6. Today is Thursday Jan 16th, technically the 3rd day of week 9 but I'm making a post for week 8 now with pics i took yesterday. I gave them mid-bloom nutes and defoliated yesterday. There were lots of yellow leaves. Haven't shown them the attention i did my first Auto grow. Hoping they net me a QP of dried buds from the 8 plants. I added 2 HLG 65's at the beginning of week 8 and am hoping this boosts yield and fattens the buds up over this last month. I'll prolly give one more, maybe 2 more rounds of late bloom nutes before i begin the flush in a couple weeks. I think LST is the way to go in my future grows because I'm not impressed with the plants size compared to my first grow when i did the LST. I think the combo of that plus the 2 additional lights i just got will produce the oz per plant goal i have. Think the only different thing I'm going to do next grow is use the fox farms stuff everybody touts in half my grow bags and the compost ive used so far in the other half to compare any difference.
@TessaMaria, I'm actually using straight compost from my local zoo (KC). I get it for $25 a truck load. Works awesome in my garden outside, my pepper plants grow over 6 feet tall with it! With this grow i bought a 30 lb bag of clay pellets to mix in with it for drainage. Does the same thing perlite does essentially

Have you grown any of these strains before? The reason I ask is your comments week 1 regarding a feeding schedule. I've found that any feeding schedule is like a good war plan, everything changes when the roots hit the dirt lol.
@KCMOR8RH8R, FFoF is pretty nice, and In my opinion worth the price. Most prefer to cut it with all sorts of things, but my first grow ever and first on GD was with straight FFoF from seed to harvest.
@TheMachinist, thanks! I have done all my grows so far including this one with straight compost from my local zoo (added a bit of clay pellets to the top few inches this time). It's what i use in my outside garden and has great results with the vegs. But next grow I'm also going to try the fox farms stuff in some of the grow bags instead of compost to see the difference there. Feel like there are so many variables with growing this stuff and the more i can experiment the better I'll get at it as i go along
@KCMOR8RH8R, I hear ya on trying to boost the indoor once you've done outdoor haha. I don't even measure my nutrients other than by the capfull, but starting with FFoF (fox farm ocean forest) an amended soil I don't add anything till week 5 or 6. I'm on my first autoflower grow right now haven't done any training or trimming. I've had pretty good luck and results from just letting the tent go jungle wild 😎. I clean up dead leaves and up the feed when they start showing they need it. I like your plan to have a test group, that way you can actually get tangible results.
