I scored these seeds as a freebie when I made a seed purchase thru Attitude seeds earlier this year. I didn't think much more about them until I recently saw a couple of great diaries representing the cookies kush genetics. (https://growdiaries.com/diaries/39514-3-cookies-kush-led-style) (https://growdiaries.com/diaries/39607-cookies-on-the-kush) I love my kush strains and pretty much as soon as I remembered I had the beans just sitting there waiting to be germinated that I sprung this grow into action. Two seeds were soaked overnight then into damp paper towel and a ziplock bag, Next day the taproots were showing so into the grow plug and mini propagator dome they go for now. Voila Too easy 😃

Well the first week is over for these two little Cookies Kush seedlings. Ive been keeping them in partial shade as it's been around 40 degrees here for the last few days. Gave them a tiny bit of Superthrive mixed with some water just to give them a little headstart healthwise. Plant 1 has broad leaves whilst plant 2 has thinner bladed leaves so it looks like I'll get two different phenotypes which is fantastic as it allows me to potentially pick the better pheno to breed with and back cross with the other.

Cookies Kush from Barneys Farm Update 22nd December 2019 The two lttle seedlings are going ok and seem to be completely different phenotypes , which to me is a good thing as i'll get to witness two examples of the Cross between Girl scout cookies and OG Kush. What I'm after is a plant shorter than 1 meter but very bushy and productive as far as yield goes. But most importantly for me is the Quality of the finished product . Merry Christmas to One and all & Thanks for checking out my diary 👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 4th Week of Veg 29th December 2019 Well with aprox 6 weeks until these will transition into flowering I'm hoping they get a wriggle on and start to grow a bit quicker if I am to get a decent yeild from them. Plants 1 and 2 are very dfferent in shape to each other however they remain about the exact same height. I will probably top them both soon which may or may not give them a kick in the arse to get them growing. Thanks for stopping by see you next week. 👍

Barneys farm Cookies Kush update 5th Jan 2020 4th week of veg since Germination. The two girls are still just plodding along at their own speed , I topped them both at the 5th node 2 days ago and both plants are already sprouting new leaves. Both plants have aprox 5 or so weeks to get bigger before the day lengths shorten enough to induce Flowering. hopefully they both grow sufficiently to provide some sort of useable harvest. Thankyou for looking in once again and I'll be back next week 👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 12th Jan 2020 These two aren't exactly breaking any records growth wise 😅 in fact they are both runts and If I wasn't so keen on sampling the end product I would probably have pulled them by now. Nevermind tho I will let them continue doing their thing and see what happens. Thanks for dropping by see you next week 👊

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 26th Jan 2020 Happy Australia Day to all of the other Aussies on here 🙏💪👍 These girls are getting a bit bushier finally , No sign of preflowers yet so either it's too soon (day lengths) or the plant simply isn't ready to flower (physical maturity) Either way this means more veg time which hopefully equates to more yield at the end. Rained during the night here so no need to water today or possibly even tomorrow, however tues and wed are forecasted to be fairly hot and dry so I may give them a drink of the high tea before then. Thanks for checking out my diary update 👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 10th week of veg 9th Feb 2020 I am all set for flowering all Ive gotta do is wait for these two lovely girls to get the message 😆. Although mostly similiar in appearence they do both have their own unique characteristics such as plant number two's slightly thinner more sativa like leaves and darker green coulours. Plant number 1 may be showing a little nitrogen deficiency so I may have to feed her a little superthrive or Calmag before the stretch otherwise It could lead to problems later on. Other than that they have only had some seaweed solution and plain water so they have done well so far without any added nutrients . 👍 Thanks for stopping by 👊

Both of these plants are only in pots of around 18L capacity is it WORTHWILE me moving them into bigger pots now before they develop any further or could it be detrimental to their health. Note stretch has started.

Transplant you will be fine. Feed them epsom salt after, will help with the shock.

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush Organic soil Grow Diary Update 16th Feb 2020 Well the stretch has definately started and there are visible pistils showing at the nodes so my girls are Flowering!! Yay Both Girls are looking good although plant 1 has distinct red leaf stems that I am not sure about. It could be a deficiency or phenotype trait?? Feeds this week were as follows Day 1 Superthrive using the 1ml/3Litres ratio I made up 10L and gave the plants 5 each. Day 2 Nothing at all Day 3 Water only Day 4 Nothing at all Day 5 Water only Day 6 Seaweed solution and mycorrhizae Day 7 (yesterday) water with a tiny amount of liquid potash Also yesterday I posted a question regarding whether or not I should repot the girls before they grow any further. Well the general consensus was to go ahead and Transplant them so in the cool of the evening I went ahead and moved them both into bigger pots. I used all of the left over super soil from my auto grows earlier this year. Plant 1 got moved into a 75 Litre grow bag and plant 2 went into a 40L standard garden pot. So that means plant 1 is in a container almost 4 times the size of the one it was in whilst plant 2 is now in a pot twice the volume of the original container. I chose plant 1 for the bigger pot simply because the roots were definately starting to become rootbound in the smaller pot. Hopefully the extra room may lead to a better outcome (ie yield) Thanks for checking out my update and also thanks to all who provided input to my question yesterday. Barneys farm Cookies Kush 1st week of Flowering completed 23rd Feb 2020 Both Girls really took well to being transplanted into bigger pots!! Plant 1 or pheno 1 if you remember got the biggest new home (75 L Growbag) and she has really started get her grow on 😁 Big thick branches that have potential to develop some big ass buds!! Plant two has also grown well but she has developed differently to her sister and has longer taller branching with more sativa like structuring. Incredibly they both seem to have the exact same smell although this may change during Flowering. Plant 1 has pinkish petioles whilst plant two leaf stems remain green. I remember saying back in week 6 of veg how I wasn't happy with their growth etc but I'm bloody glad I stuck with them as they have really impressed me with both their adaptability to different training techniques and apparent high resistance to both bug attacks ( haven't seen any) and stress from transplant ( they both showed Zero sighns of any stress whatsoever) Also if the smell eminating from them is anything to go by then they should be bloody potent as they stink when I rub and sniff the stems. Thankyou for Reading my Cookies kush update for this week and If you enjoyed it please leave a like I appreciate it Cheers 👍👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 3 weeks flowering completed 1st March 2020 Well I am very glad I went ahead and transplanted the girls into bigger pots because boy did they explode!! Both plants are distinctly different in the way they stretched , with plant (phenotype) 1 becoming super bushy and branchy and looks to me to be a slightly Indica dominant Phenotype. Plant (phenotype) 2 Is totally different and stretched upwards and is very much showing signs of a Sativa dominance in her growth patterns. To me this is about as perfect an outcome as I could imagine scoring two completely different phenotypes to grow out and sample. If one of them is a clear winner between the two , I will attempt to reveg it and get cuttings for another grow. Feeds were fairly standard this past week due to the lack of sunlight and extra rain the plants got. I still needed to feed both girls some "high tea" "Worm tea" a little liquid potassium and a bit of seaweed solution. I am starting to worry about my plants odour becoming an issue in the weeks to come. If it gets too strong I may have to come up with some sort of masking scent to cover it. I was thinking along the lines of maybe some extra strong seaweed solution mixed with some of my homemade peppermint oil plus a heap of garlic , then sprayed around the area once every evening and morning. (not on plants obviously) Hopefully that will do the trick. Thankyou for reading this weeks diary update for the Cookies Kush from Barneys. Don't forget to leave a like if you like 👆 See ya next week 👊👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 4 weeks Flowering completed 8th March 2020 Welcome to the Cookies kush show 😂 They are quite the lookers tho Both have thier own unique characteristics with pheno 1 being a bushy bitch and pheno 2 more of a stretched appearence with those classic thin sativa leaves . I'm so looking forward to a taste off these plants when they are ready. I'm feeding them lots of water and supplemental teas as they have been quite thirsty doing all that growing would do that I guess. Ive posted a quick vid update where you can see the differences in Phenotypes . Thanks for reading my update n I'll see you next week 👍

Barneys farm Cookies kush 5 weeks of flowering completed 15th March 2020 With five weeks down I reckon I'm probably about halfway thru a possible 10 week flowering stage. 😀 I feel blessed to have the chance to grow out two completely different looking plants from the same strain type. apart from the obvious visual differences between the two , there is also a noticeable aroma difference with the bushier pheno #1 having sweeter smelling buds and #2 a bit more pungent like smelly socks 😅 I'm feeding them Ozi magic monsta bud which is an organic flower enhancer @5mls / litre and will do this twice a week until week 8 then I'll switch to the ozi tonic and mollasses. The bloody rains back again for the next 5 days so I will really need to monitor them very carefully for signs of waterlogging and mold and if it gets too heavy (the rain) I'll drag them under cover with my other Plants. Thanks for checking out this weeks Cookies Kush update see ya next week 👊

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 6 Weeks Of Flowering Completed 22nd March 2020 First of all I hope you are all well during these strange times we find ourselves in. 😳 We have just shut the borders into our own State from other Aussies so it doesn't spread 😢 Stay safe Everyone Both of these plants look super healthy despite the adverse weather conditions . Pheno 1 ( Sativa Dominant) has lots of nice hard nugs and a few ridgey didge Donkey dicks developing 😁 Pheno 2 Desperately needs a trim , I hate to cut leaves off plants but in this circumstance I can see the benefits of removing excess foliage both to allow more light and air flow into and around the budsites. Both Girls only got fed once this week with 15 Litres each of a premixed 10ml/L Monstabud and water mix. Ph of P1 6.5 P2 6.4 That is it for this week Stay safe everyone 👊👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush 7 Weeks of Flowering Completed 29th march 2020 Here we are at the beginning of the eighth week of Flowering for my Barneys Farm Cookies kush Girls. 😀 They are both looking good Phenotype 1 which is the Indica dominant plant has a higher leaf to calyx ratio than her sister the Sativa dominant phenotype number 2 they both have distinct characteristics to each other such as pheno1 has a sweet smell and more stickiness whilst pheno2 has more of an Earthy smell and is clearly the better looking of the two. Both plants have not had anything for the past 3 days due to the fact that it's been very wet here & the relative humidity is almost at 90% at some times during each day. They don't seem to mind not having been fed or watered which is a bonus as adding more moisture to the environment is not Ideal. So far Zero signs of budrot unlike the other strains I have close to maturity which have all shown a little botrytis forming on some buds. This has given me some hope of being able to let both girls grow right thru until optimum maturity, whereas the Jack herer , Red diesel and girl scout cookies will all end up being harvested earlier than i would have preferred. That is all for this week , Stay safe and away from the crowds everyone and I'll be back next week with another update 👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush Organic Week 8 of Flowering Completed 5th April 2020 Almost there...... The Sativa dominant plant (pheno 1 ) is actually looking likely to be ready before her sister pheno 2 . 😎 They both smell very Nice and have their own unique characteristics but if I had to choose I would pick pheno 1 because I mean just look at those colas 👌 I'm in no real hurry to harvest them so as long as they are healthy and not getting any Mold issues I will let them go for now. 😀 I gave them both a good feed yesterday of some Ozi tonic and Molasses the weather has turned cold this week so I'll wait a few days before I feed them again. that is all for this week . Stay Safe everybody 👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush week 9 of flowering completed 11th April 2020 Hi all I hope you are all feeling well 😀 and Happy Easter 👈 I chopped both girls down today and they are now drying with the aid of a few fans. The humidity here is bloody horrible , you can't go outside without feeling like you are walking in a light rain shower 😐 So they both had to come down. I must say the smell is pretty strong so I'm grateful that it's so quiet around here now that everyone is at home. Next update shall be the Harvest one so keep an eye out for it . 👊 Thanks for stopping by 👍

Barneys Farm Cookies Kush Harvest 25th April April 2020 Well that's the last of my Photoperiod grows from the 2019/20 Australian summer all finished and in the jars. All in all I think I did quite well with more than a few pound of assorted varieties currently curing. Out of all the different strains I grew , this variety from Barneys Farm was by far the least demanding and trouble free of them all. The two cookies kush plants I grew were like chalk and cheese in all ways Pheno One was sativa dominant and the other (pheno2) indica. The sativa girl produced big dense colas whilst the indica plant's buds had a very high leaf to calyx ratio that was not ideal. Pheno 2 score Taste 8/10 Smell 8/10 Vegetative vigor 7/10 Stretch 150% Bud production poor Pheno 1 score Taste 9/10 Smell 9/10 Vegetative vigor 7/10 Stretch 150% Bud production Excellent So in conclusion I really enjoyed growing this strain I'm very satisfied with the results of my harvest and I will definately give it another run in the near future. Thankyou to you all for taking the time to read and like my updates each week I appreciate it . Take Care 👍
