First grow in the tent with my other autos. Going great so far just using pH water of 6 every couple days on an 18-6 ratio. Will use hygen nutes in a out 3 weeks or so
22/12 going great, some white spots on the leaves, no spider mites so not sure what's going on. Upgrading my light to a viperspectra 700 Parr 700w led. Will arrive by the 30th
Changed my light to a viperspectra 700parr 700w led and have it 24 inches above the plant. It's producing alot of heat averaging about 30degrees in the tent. The girls are loving it and thriving well. This is about 3 days into week 2 as of the 26/12.
Watering every 3 days in cocopeat under a viperspectra 700 part 700w led from Amazon and going great. I have this plant growing in the same tent as my New York City diesel and all are going great. I will have to keep these in for an extra week in veg as one of those are a week behind.
Started using the hygen nutes for week 1 as I'm experiencing problems nobody can seem to answer. I dropped them from their final pots into these 2ltr pots and put them outside, they started going purple and I'm pretty sure iv lost one but it may recover I'll have to wait it out.
Gave her nutes again 8/1/20 she seems to be loving the outside sum and developing quickly
Week 4 or 5 I'm confused to be honest as this one and the other two popped up at different times, one was in the ground for a week. Today will class as week 4 for the NL.
Went outside on the 4/1 it's been outside for a bit I'm guessing a week.
11/1 it has been blooming quickly. I gave it 2ltrs of water today and I'll give it full strength nutes tomorrow as IV only been doing half strength.
12/1 put back in the tent on the 11th and gave full strength nutes and she's bloomed big time.
15/1 blooming great and introduced week 4s nute sea essentials. Week 5 is about to start so in 2 days I'll start that up (17/1)
17/1 Here she is at week 5 going great. Used week 4 mix but she's drinking alot I find I water every 2 days at this point.
I fed her on the 16th and will continue to water every 2 days from now on.
20/1 I just did some light defoliating as alot of the plant was covered and I'm worried it was too early but it's too late now. I only clipped the bottom massive leaves covering bud sites and the only problem showing right now is the leaves are all pointing down a little bit but I figure it's just the stress and should bounce back in a week or two and I gave them a feed as well, just the standard 2ltr mix (week 4 again to help a bit more growth).
having a look at other grow diaries with this strain i feel like iv been given the wrong strain? everyone elses is growing outwards like a sativa and mines bunched together even after some LST.
22/1 moves all 3 plants back into the 18ltr fabric pots to help out and have them a flush. Upping the intake to 3.5 ltrs of water every 2 days possibly every 3.
Cut off some fan leaves because they we're blocking alot of bud sites. I am worried because of plant size but I'll have to wait a week and see if it keeps growing. I'm probably a few weeks off flower, 1-2 I'm guessing.
Week 6 on the 24th
Week 6
24/ I can see it's in pre flower and coming along great. I cut the bigger fan leaves and more seem to grow in a couple days.
Right now it's on 3ltrs every 2-3 days and starting to feed week 6 of the hygen range next feed.
30/1 plants have grown outwards rather than upwards.
Cut the fan leaves and gave it a feed on the 26th. I have flowering now showing so it's going to be a very small plant unfortunately but hey first grow...
week 7 is the 31st
1/2/2020
Still using lst, forgot to water these girls yesterday so doing it a little late and the leaves are showing it. They're now taking about 4.5 ltrs of water so I'm changing it to feeding every 2 days possibly I'll see how we go but seems like they need it. Also introduced PK top up at half strength as guided by the feeding chart.
4/2
Watered the girls, looks like they needed it. 5.5ltrs of water each so they're definitely thirsty. Having to do list every few days as more branches keep rocking up yays!
6/2
Gave her another 3.5ltrs of food to flush it all out and feed. Buying a new tent because this plant is growing into the other one. I wasn't supposed to have this many plants but they thrived.
Week 8 starts on the 8th.
Fed today 4.5 ltrs of food each plant, this one's growing short and stumpy, not much development but I'll keep an eye on her.
10/2
NL very bushy not much progression in height??
Week 9 starts on the 15th
Fed them 3.5 ltrs of food each on the 14th, it was still the week 8 cycle but I fed them the week 9 as that start date is today and I'm not going to double feed them. Not growing too big unfortunately and starting to Bud so I guess this may be the final height of this girl.
Nutes are hygen range:
Cocobloom
Budlink
Pktop up
Humibooster
Sea essentials
Refer to the feeding chart from the hygen site in the coco coir grow.
15/2/20
fed her week 9 again, not noticing much change at all, worried she wont be ready by the time the other one or even the other 2 for that matter, The last thing i want is one plant finished and this one a week away.
accidentally snapped the main stem on the bigger plant so im not happy about that, i have taped her up and will see how she goes. keeping track of these plants + feeding and training them really is taking a lot out of me, stressing out i wont have much of a successful grow from this one and the other small one but time will tell.
17/2/20
feed
21/2
Feed the girls and had a look at the bud sites which are really coming along, small plant though I'm worried about the yield.
22/2 week 10 will be feeding week 9 nutes again though
Fed today 23/2 it is approx week 7-8 according to royal seeds but my count is about week 10 so I'm keeping week 10 on week 9 nutes then will carry on to week 12.
25/2
Fed the girls week 9 nutes again to give them a hand although it's not much different to week 10 feeding anyways. Alot of smell from them all and I can't tell what's what in the tent but outside this is a citrus smell, very lovely and I don't smoke anymore :(
27/2
fed the girls and some light defoliation to help keep everything in the light. my second light is still coming, thanks to amazon for the overnight delivery my ass. also getting a new exhaust fan because my current one isnt expelling the humidity too well, its sitting about 60-80% so i have the tent door open with a fan and a dehumidifier so hopefully it will come down a bit more once i get the new exhaust fan.
Week 11 starts on the 30th
1/3
Skipping week 10 as I feel my dates are messed up so here's the girls on week 11 nutes this week then I'll do 12 and 2 weeks of flushing.
3/3
Gave them another feed, my coco bloom mix went milky and shit for the second time so I have to buy more. I'm thinking of changing formulas to advanced nutes and seeing how that goes.
6/3
i was extremely busy with work so they went an extra day without water, the fabic pots have some sort of white stuff on them im worried its mold but once i watered them again it vanished so ill take some pics if it appears again. i gave them a water and my ph pen also messed up tonight so its been one thing after another. i did some light defoliation on the plants and its amazing to see how big the colas actually are on this girl! i also bought a 1000x usb microscope but im finding it very hard to gain focus or get it close enough to see the trichomes and see their color but from what i could make out they looked a little cloudy? id love to hear at what stages they start to go amber as id like to harvest before that stage. im starting to get orange hairs over them but its not 70% just yet. 1 more week of nutes from the 8th to the 15th and then its straight out flush for 2 weeks, im not sure if they're ready for that stage but if they're not i cant do much anyways ill have to harvest regardless on the 29th.
ill put new pics up on the 8th for week 12
8/3
Fed the girls today I had to buy a new pH metre as the probe in my blue lab pen broke. I'm on week 12 nutes but they don't look ready, this is my first time so I'm really unsure but the idea was to feed till the 15th and then flush for two weeks but I'm wondering if I should feed for 2 and flush for 1?? Any help would be awesome
10/3
Gave them a feed, decided this is last week of nutes due to timing issues so I'll flush from the 15th for a week then hang to dry in the dark for a few days.
12/3
I'm pretty sure I gave them nutes today but not sure. Most likely did and put in my bigger tent so I'm super excited.
215 grams wet with the stem, I have to have the stem to hang it up I'm guessing real weight is about 100 grams. Can't wait to see final results in a week or so
Final results real weight was 33 grams so an oz. Not bad off a freebie
@raptor65, thankyou, this one's going great I'm worried about them syncing up before mid March as the NYC diesel is a bit behind for one of them and I'm not sure how to speed it up.
Nice looking grow, you'll get a decent yield off of these.
A couple things I'm noticing:
1) What soil are you using? I give my 3.5L or so every 4 to 5 days, I lift the pots every day and I only feed when it feels really light - like there's no more water in it. I just noticed they looked slightly droopy, could be a little too much water, but it could also just be the time of day you took the pic. Right after lights on and a bit before lights out mine always droop.
2) Are your lights as blue as they look in the pics? Blue is good for veg, but these are definitely in flower and need a lot more red light.
3) Also, you don't have to stress over training them, I did all that my first grow and hated all the work too. Now I pretty much let my autos grow how they want, I just pull off leaves that shade out the bottom bud sites. I'm getting better yields that way and enjoying growing a LOT more.
4) I just alternate between a plain water feed and then one with nutes, but I'm going to go with super soil my next run, all this chemical mixing is a pain.
5) Everyone has their own grow style that works for them, I'm just sharing what works for me, please just ignore whatever isn't helpful.
6) MOST IMPORTANT: Don't get discouraged, they're growing fine and it's all worth it when you get that taste of home grown...
@Iamthejazz123, cheers man lets hope they go well, i got my honeymoon coming up on the first of april so i needed them to be done by then but atm seems like thats not going to happen...
@Lolberries, it sounds like you have things pretty dialed in. I hope the new tent gives you enough vertical space.
Autos can be a wild ride with all the variation you get between plants, even if they're the same strain. My journal is 3 NL autos in a single tent, same pack of seeds, same germination date, everything identical, and one is 21 inches and 3/4 of the way through flowering while the other 2 are almost 3 feet tall and barely into flower. With autos, you just gotta see where the ride takes you.
Enjoy it, don't sweat the small stuff, your plants look good!
@Iamthejazz123, thanks man i needed some advice here, cocopeat is what im using so it doesnt hold much water. the tall plant in my nyc diesel auto diary needs watering pretty much every single day and i just do the others every 2-3 because theyre smaller and hold it for longer but im making up a 10ltr batch every time because its easier for amounts when it comes to reading the feeding chart. as for the LST i was very big into it at the start but i did it wrong and i completely missed the point of the even canopy and it started to drain me alot the last few days i just wanted to try something different so i took out all the bottom LST wires and bought 2 tomato cages and because of the previous training they just bent out easier over the cage so i have pretty good light distribution overall, i can just see one or two colas not getting much light because they are so little in length they cant reach out for it.
as for my lights im using a variable diode viperspectra light so i can use them independantly at whatever percentage i feel. right now they are all back to 100% i turned the red down yesterday because i moved it up to 100% with the blue and white that were already on 100% and in 4 days she grew really tall and started touching the light which was at the highest point in my tent and started getting burnt so to reduce light intensity i turned the red back down until i got my new tent which was about 6 hours ago and in that time shes grown another 2 cms taller so fingers crossed she stops very soon! im using viperspectra's spectrum guide for my light and it recommends all 3 at 100% during the flower cycle. i have been told blue is good for veg but i have also been told it is very much as important to flower as veg and they need a good dose of both and the fact that i have two smaller plants in there it would be better to have the blue in there to see if they may stretch a bit more. the height of these two strains is 75-110cms indoors, one is 89cms now and the other one same strain is at 47-50 as it is the same with this one so i really need them to stretch a little more especially with how bushy it is. iv done some defoliation but i have to constantly do it because the new leaves tower the lower ones and i can only shock the plant so much.
