WED 12/18 (DAY 1)
VPD 9.9
3x 24Carat sharing the tent with 3 Sour Stompers. Tracking each in a separate journal.
3of3 have sprouted and all have first pair of permanent leaves. Planting holes each got a generous dose of Mykos @transplant. These sprouts were watered in with Hydroguard (2ml/gal) and MegaCrop (2ml/gal) and Recharge added to the feed water
All have been planted in 5.3 gal Hercules Rootmaker pots. Assuming there is one plant healthy enough to top by Day 20 (4+nodes), will top one lady and do a bit of a side by side comparison.
12/23 (DAY 6)
****************************************
Changing light cycle to 24/0 to aid in maintaining temps in the tent during winter.
****************************************
DAY 15
Start week 3.
All are healthy and doing very well.
DAY 18
Topped #2 AFTER the 5th node. She is a vigorous grower. The monster of the 3.
The others are healthy and doing well. If both are at least 4+ nodes by D20, will top the smaller of the two.
DAY 23
Removed top pair of fans on each of the topped plants to allow more light in.
Added 1x60w cob.
Lux: 18-22k
Lots of green mass on these. Very dense growth. Looking foreward to some stretch.
Day 30
#1 (Left) is growing without any topping or training. She's healthy. She was 48 hrs between feedings in pic. Hence her droopy leaves. (20")
#2 (Center) was topped after 5th node. She has 10 tops competing for dominance. They are quite equal, forming a nice even canopy on her. No LST on her. (22")
#3 (Right) was topped and has been trained open and flat. She's wide and 12" tall.
Have been allowing dry day(s) between feedings to avoiding over watering/feeding. All seem to be responding positively.
D32
They're still growing an inch or more a day and filling out.
#3 (right) is the only one recieving LST and topping and is getting bushy.
#2 has stretched all 10 side branches to gain dominance and they will all form nice colas.
DAY 45
These are healthy and growing like a jungle. Light intensity is 45k+ across the canopy. Frost is building hard everywhere.
Have been supplementing with Magnesium via epsom salts top dressing in addition to adfing CalMag in feed.
DAY 48
All are healthy and vigorous.
Base feed strength of MegaCrop has been increased to 4g/gal.
These have generally been getting fed the full compliment of nutes/supplements, usually at a slightly diluted rate. They have shown mag deficiency the entire time and have been responding to Epsom and GLN CalMag.
#1 is un-trained in any way. Let to grow as she wants, she has the classic single cola xmas tree structure. All secondary branches are at approximately the same level with an 8" super cola. She is perfect, but would have benefitted from training in some way. The stress seems to always bring out the best. She will be a good control example.
#2 was the most vigorous of the 3 and was topped after the 5th node within the 20 day topping timeframe. No lst here. She has been showing mag deficiency all along, but remains quite vigorous and very healthy otherwise. Her many tops are getting fat.
#3 has been topped and lst'd. Shes a short and very sturdy little plant. She is loaded with flowers and her branches are filling their entire length with buds. She's very healthy and the nicest shade of green of the entire tent.
(DAY 52)
All of these are doing very well and are (fairly) healthy heading into the home stretch. They are covered in diamonds and smell of gasoline/chemicals.
#1 is all-natural and is forming an impressive main cola that is getting thick. With 2+wks left, she will be a very good representation of this strain in its natural growth.
#2 has a nice canopy of compact dense colas. She will yield best of the bunch. She is very healthy and may be allowed go longer if she remains so healthy. She's getting fatter by the day.
#3 is less mature than the others but very healthy. She has always just grown at her own pace. She will be a more compact version of #2.
DAY 61
Everyone is healthy and starting to show some purple coloring. #2 has been relocated to the rear corner where she will get the most 2700k light. She continues to struggle with mg def but is healthy enough to continue swelling. She is covered with fat chonky colas.
#1 (control) is really showing purple coloring and continues to swell with new pistil clusters all over. She's looking quite fat and her yield will surprise. Her main cola is 8 solid inches of thick bud, with a nice secondary canopy of sub-colas.
#3 is covered in chonky colas as well... albeit slightly more pointed. She is healthy and green with slight purpling happening too.
Begin week 10
DAY 67
Chop
Took main/largest colas (161g total wet/rough trimmed) from each to try low and slow dry in refrigerator. This method is touted to result in best smell/flavor preservation.
After 8hrs, 43°/75%rh
Plants are hanging in dark tent @63"/50%rh
DAY 68
24 hrs drying
Low&Slow: 44°/73%
WEEK 11
After 4 days hanging in 60°/55% tent, these are crispy on the outside. De-limbed each plant into its own 1.5gal curing jar for the last of the drying.
After 12hrs in jars, rh=72%.
Spread material in single layer to continue drying.
Low&Slow refrigerator experiment continues. Everything is progressing on schedule.(38°/53%)
