Growing medium :
4.5 gal Mo'koko
3.75 gal Promix BX
0.75 gal Worm casting
0.75 gal perlite
2 1/4 cup GaiaGreen 444
Lightning @ 70W
18/19 dec: Put seeds in water for 24 hours/Paper towel in ziplock bag
20 dec: Planted in pots (with domes)
22 dec: Girls showed up
27 dec: raise to 80w. Tested soil PH and it's to high at 7.5. Adjusted my water to 6.2 to decrease it.
Dec 30: Beginning of the week
Soil PH: 7,5
Light intensity : 100w (about 33%)
The PH of my soil was too high @7,5 so my last waterings were at 6,2 to balance down.
Jan 2: Put a little molasses in watering for a little iron. could help le Kosher Kush plant...
Jan 4: mixed 1/4 cup powdered eggshells with 1/3 cup white vinegar and waited 10hr before mixing into water. Watered plants with that for calcium.
Jan 5: 1 tbsp Epsom salt (for mag) + 10ml voodoo juice in 1 gal
Jan 7: Beginning of the week
Light @ 150w (raised it from 24 to 32 inch)
Jan 8: began a brew of compost tea and will feed tomorrow.
Jan 10: Topped the two C&C
Jan 13: Began training the plants (LST) and cut all the big leaves for better light exposure
Slight discoloration on some leaves I removed... Not sure what it is...
Compost tea recipe:
2 gal dechlorinated tap water
1 tbsp Wholesome Molasses
2 tbsp GaiaGreen Kelp meal
2 tbsp GaiaGreen Alfalfa meal
1 tbsp GaiaGreen 444
2 tbsp Bat guano 842
Beginning of the week
Light @ 180w
Day22: defoliated and began LST yesterday. Upped to 200w the light
Day23: began a brew for a second compost tea
Day24: Fed compost tea, KK is droopy, maybe too much light. Reduce back to 150w
Compost tea recipe:
2gal de chlorinated tap water
2tbsp Molasses
1cup worm castings
2tbsp Alfalfa meal
2tbsp Kelp meal
2tbsp Batguano 842
1tbsp Batguano 0 12 4
Beginning of the week, Jan20 D29
Continued LST, made an very light defoliation.
Last week I've added 1tbsp of soil adifier per plants (sulfur) my PH should reduce enough to be between 6 and 6.8
Jan21 D30: re raised the light @175w, plants are happy
Jan24 D33: plants are booming rapidly, topped the 2 C&C on all the main branches
Jan27 D37: starting to see a little deficiency. Maybe a lockout of calcium or potassium. Tested soil ph and its around 7. Work to do.
Did a slight defoliation, add 1tsbp of mineral mix 0-1-5 per plant (calmag) 1/4 cup of mykes, 1tbsp of Batguano 0-12-8 and 1tbsp of soil acidifier. Top dressed all 3 with that and watered 2L at ph 5.5... Hope I did not do too much.
Will wait nx weekend to put into flower.
Beginning of the week Jan28 D37
Raised intensity of the light at 200w
Watered again at 5.5 to lower the PH
Topped the main stems on the two C&C to lower the canopy. I'm beginning on planning the scrog.
Jan31 D40: Made a good defoliation for a maximum light exposure, a little LST on the KK... This plant is weak since the beginning, slow growth compare to the other 2... Compost tea is brewing for a little boost in available nutrients in 2 days.
I put the trellis net in, let it fill for a week or so before flipping.
Added a tbsp of Gaia green 444 in the two C&C just in case because I'll stay in veg a little longer than I planned
Feb2 D42: fed compost tea, light still at 200w, lowered it a little this week.
Beginning of the week Feb3 D43 :
Light at 220w
Didn't had much time this week, but plants began to show some difficulties...
I'm not sure what it is but, what makes the most sense is a P toxicity
Symptoms are
Slower growth
New growth pale green/yellowish
New growth with very thin leaves
I assume plants have difficulties in absorbing zinc
My soil ph is still high at 6.8 to 7.1.
Since the 3 last weeks, my rh was at 75%, learned that it was to high for the actual stage.
Set my fan so RH stays in mid 50s to let a better vpd.
Beginning of the week Feb10 D50
Light at 240w
Flipped to 12/12 about 4 days ago.
Actual problem (I think) is P toxicity. Leading to zinc and iron def.
Measured my runoff and its 7.3 ish. Far too high.
I water regularly at 6.0 and let a runoff that I dump. With the flo cycle started, I expect the plants absorb more P, reduce PH and fix the deficiencies... That's the plan.
Plants seems to get better, slowly but surely.
Watered at low ph all week and reduced the runoff at 6.8-7
