Here’s the moment I’ve been waiting for! I’ve decided to make some big changes for this round in the evolution of my grow! I’ve decided that since fastbuds has entrusted me with their brand new unreleased genetics to throw everything out the window and go for new, new, new! First off I’m going to ditch most of general hydroponics nutrients to try out the brand new floraflex nutes because they claim there will be no salt buildup. I have completely ruined 6 pumps, all of my grow totes and every piece of tubing associated with my hydroponics system. Secondly I’m going to set the rockwool aside in trade for the floraflex 6” pot pro system with the “bubbler” using coco as my medium. So let’s get locked and loaded and see just what these unknown ladies are going to do for us. The featured 3 plants here are a first from them in a photo period fast flowering 50-60 day finish and I have zero additional data.

Well I finally got the new pot pro system up and running with a little spare time today. The plants are of to a great start although I can already see there is going to be a learning curve on the watering and the need for a second bubbler manifold and pump. Merry Christmas!🎁🎄 🎅

Off to the races. I couldn’t get them to start taking up nutrients low and behold a temp change of 4 degrees from 73 to 77 switched it up and now they are doing their thing. I topped one, fimmed on and left the last one alone but they will all receive low stress training about 10 days from now and I will then try to get them to about 30” before flipping the switch.

Well what a week indeed. I left for work and my assist got sick and was unable to check the ladies on a very critical day for coco and missed a feeding and the roots went dry for a split second. That was enough to put them behind where I wanted to be but luckily we didn’t lose them all together. How quickly it can happen when they increase their water uptake! But all is well that ends well and these 3 ladies are on track to go to flower in a week.

After consulting with a few others working with this strain I have seen that they can have quite a stretch and given the time frame with my other project the time is here to switch to flower. So this is day one and when these photos were taken they had just woken up.

I have a little issue with some clawing going on here. But only on these 3 plants. These are the ones closest to the circulation fan which was right on them so I pointed it upwards a bit last week to not hit them so hard. Granted it’s not been a problem before. They are in coco and the run pretty dry every other day and they get a reasonable 800ppm water of nutrients from floraflex with cal mag and some micros from ghe. I can’t imagine it’s a nitrogen toxicity in the second week of flower especially with these nutes. Now only on the middle one I also have a large fan leaf as the photos show starting to yellow. What do you think??

Hey Growmie, Since they were so close to the fan they are suffering from windburn. Since you moved the fans to point upward this should fix the issue just allow them to recover and they'll be fine. Good Luck with the rest of your grow and remember ..."Happy Growing" and "Free your mind one puff at a time".

Two of the three plants have come back from a sudden case of the “claw”. So many variables happened all at once that it’s hard to tell which one or if all played a significant role in their demise. The heater was off so at night the temps were in low 60’s. The fan was blowing directly on them and the parts per million spiked as I had added to my reservoir since switching to flower which usually isn’t a problem but I’m seeing that these three compared to the neighbors are not as willing to take the abuse. Either way they are still growing even with the deformities that seem as though they are not going to correct themselves on the back plant so it’s a great experiment at this point. Thanks for looking!

Looks like your ladies are of to a great start. Can't wait until they release the strain info for the fast flowering testers

@Mr_Weeds_Autos, I have #3 started right next to these and will setup a diary for them when I get a free minute. They are different that’s for sure. #3 has broader leaves already. Maybe I’ll try to setup the time lapse camera.

@mr_weeds_autos. I agree it was a fan thing. However growing in coco vs. rock wool that I’ve been using is a finicky son of a gun. I don’t want to over water them and as they’ve grown one time it’s a day between waterings the next it’s two and it can feel wet in the morning and an hour later it’s dry. I think we are now at once a day so that’ll make it easier going forward.
