basementgardener420 Growing in Biobizz Light Mix with added Perlite , Biobizz Pre-Mix (3-3-5), worm castings and TNC MycorrMax. Will top dress with Plagron Bat Guano (3-15-4) in flower. Watering with ph'd tap water only. Right now hand watering but going to set up Blumat drippers soon. Won't do any heavy training this time. Due to colder temps growth will be much slower then usual so I try not to stress them as much. Will do some lst to get them evenly spread out and get rid of bud shoots that dont get enough light.

What distance would you recommend for a 120W QB288 in seedling stage at full power? I don't have a lux or par meter and found that 40" works great for the 10-12 days.

Those Quantum boards work very well. You can try one of those Lux meter apps. They work with your cell phones light sensor. Depending on the quality of the sensor, some phones actually work very well. I have my seedlings at about 36 - 42 inches away and they love it. Hope this helps 👍

What is the plant outside the domes?

@Med_in_Tropic, it's a pepper plant. Pulled a seed out of a pepper I bought for making dinner.

@Med_in_Tropic, did side plants in every grow. Helps to keep up humidity in the first weeks very well. Haven't used my humidifier in a while since I started doing this.

Hey @@@basementgardener420 - Let me know if my note regarding your question up there 👆 helps. Looks like you're in a 2x2x6, right? My tent is that size. Good luck with your grow! 🙌

@Scribs, hey man. I can't dim the lights because I have to keep the temps up. Used to run my seedlings under 50w at 24" before with great results but can't due to cold weather this time. I will start with 36" and see how they react. But thanks for your input.

@@@basementgardener420, Makes sense! I use a small heater (~$15) on a timer outlet when it gets cold, turning it ON & OFF at 15-30min intervals, for 15min straight each time. Keeps my grow tent above 78°F, sometimes much warmer.

@Scribs, yeah. Wont be cold here for months so I just wait it out ;)

@Homegrown_Meds will start at 36" then and move up if necessary. In the past I used to dimm the light but I have to keep up the temps due to the cold weather. I already installed a lux meter app on my phone before posting and at 36" I am at about 5500 lux. The LUX to PPFD Calculator on the HLG website says I am at about 90 PPFD which is perfect. Thanks for assuring I am on the right way.
